Fake and replica fashion
Replica sneakers
Fashion and style trends
Fake sneakers and clothing hauls have becoming super popular! We’ve seen fake Nike Dunks, Jordan retros, Supreme box logos, Stussy 8 balls, and more replica items be part of panda buy, taobao, and fashionreps hauls. We’ve seen fake fashion become more acceptable…so what changed?

When buying reps, make sure you’re buying stuff that will make you happy and not to impress others because at the end of the day, its just clothes and shoes, yes its your money and you can do whatever you want but just be mindful to buy for yourself and not others

I admittedly am an old cheap man, not pretending ever to be fashionable. I always love your thoughtful videos, as they give me insight to what is going on. I simply very likely will never ever be able to afford streetwear, so I always buy used. If people don't like what I wear, who cares? I never needed anyone's approval for my fashion or lack of fashion. I wear what I like and is comfortable and I can afford. What about a video about how thrifting affects fashion trends, that would be interesting as well. Thank you.

I appreciate that you mentioned how hit and miss Nike can be with production. Sadly in my experience Jordan’s would get some of the worst production runs, while hella $85 sneakers they sold would look immaculate. Recently got new uptempos and they are a hot mess of glue , it’s a shame. Back in mid 2010s it felt like I saw Jordan quality start to go down , and it was a rough time in Oakland where everyone was calling everyone’s shoes fake cuz Jordan’s just looked like shit sometimes. I never purchased from any resellers , all straight from Nike and store raffles

all of it comes down to instant gratification & peer acceptance. rep buyers defend their purchases with excuses like “blah blah retail price is stupid”, “I just like the color way not the brand”, etc. if any of that was true, you would find a cheaper alternative. There are other brown Jordan 1’s besides the Travis Scotts, you can buy a cheaper pair of asics instead of balenciaga track runners. Instead of settling for “something less”, they have to get the exact version (instant gratification). Peer acceptance is self explanatory. I don’t support rep buying because I do not want to mold into a person who doesn’t value anything authentic, cares too much about others opinion, as well as one who acts on impulses. I know I wrote a paragraph but this topic is one of the most interesting things to me and I was thinking about creating a research paper about it once university starts again. I suggest for everyone to read a paper titled “Shame on You: When Materialism Leads to Purchase Intentions Toward Counterfeit Products”. It shows interesting statistical stats, as well as true explanations on why people buy fake items.

And, some people claim that they buy reps because of resale, and then they only buy designer items like what??? But, when people buy hauls, they do hauls because overall its cheaper to ship out 15kg than it is to ship out just 2 pairs. Replicas not only damage the fashion cultures but it's just more crap mass produced to ride some trend. When it dies this stuff just ends up in a landfill because it has little to no value. Real items can still retain some value because even if a trend goes by some still want that product because they genuinely like it. But of course they are only going to get the actual product and not a replica.

I was considering buying fake Jordans. I like the design of the Jordan one. I think the Jordan one high is one of the best looking sneakers that there ever was depending on the colorway. For me, that colorway is called white Yin Yang. All white with a black swoosh and details. I never saw any hype for the colorway but apparently even it is worth 300+ dollars in all the way fucked up condition. I wasn’t the one treating sneakers like speculative financial instruments but that was the situation I found myself in: 200-300+ bucks for a used real pair or 120 for a fake pair that really did look exactly the same. Eventually got to the point where I had to tell myself. It might be a good looking pair of shoes, but it’s just a pair of shoes and I don’t need to own them even if I can afford them

I think I am in a weird category of my own when it comes to reps. I have always liked sneakers even though it was never a big thing here in norway, I think this is mainly to do with me playing basketball, which is also a nieche sport in this country. But the real way I came into contact with reps was through my chinese studies, I fell in love with the brand Li-ning especially its lines of China li ning and its classical chinese art inspired streetwear, its heavy use of embroidery instead printing and my overall love for chinese classical art. and its sub brand LNG which started as merch for their esports team in the chinese league of legends league LPL, but has evolved into a more experimental street and techwear brand all of its own, where most pieces have zero connection to the esports team with exception of the name being the same. I used and will probobly continue to use CSSBUY as my agent as I have had nothing but good expiriences using them, but it was through their discord server that I first even thought about reps as that was what other users were buying, and as someone who at the time (2021) was very fed up with resellers especially in a country that doesnt even have acces to SNKRS it fell into my lap. I though must say that my culture is very agianst the idea of flexing, even if you are rich, and buying a pair of travis fragment lows would be a drop in the bucket it would be frowned upon, this might be why that I am so quick to say things are fake. If anyone asks me about my kicks, clothes etc and they are fake, I will say that they are. I find no shame in wearing replicas as long as you are honest to yourselves and others. And so far the closest thing I have had to a negative response is: "thats cool, but I personally preffer owning the real thing" Unless you are a chronicly online fashion/sneakerhead most people really just dont give a shit.

I do buy retail, if it is resonable price, an example recently would be the LPL dunks that I baught from GOAT they were 170bucks aka slightly over retail, for a china only release. I am a huge fan of dunk lows, I am also an avid watcher of the LPL (chinese league of legends) as i mentioned above when talking about Li-Ning. So it was a natural thing for me to want, and 170dollars is something I could more than afford, but for other sneakers I am not paying 600usd for a pair of aj1s that realisticly are worth 150-80 tops. Its scalping and I cant stand scalpers, I dont even call them resellers beacuse they arent reselling something they wanted, they are scalping the fans of a product beacuse of the nature of a limited release and fomo.

Thanks, very nice video. Imho the ups and downside of reselling fashion product and hyping it up through online funnels create a massive mark ups that gradually reflected in retail price that is ridiculous since it does not always align with the quality of the material, construction etc. Therefore, consumer with less buying power eventually buying fake products. Nowadays anyone with more money can buy exclusive "unknown" product compare to past time where it much trickier, more hustle, lots of verifying some sort of street story word of mouth thing to be able to have legit information and less money to actually have decision and hunt it down etc to own the product. It would be fun as viewer if you can produce a sort of counter content such as the art of buying fake product. Thanks for your content much love

Replica or not…because all they care about is the exclusivity, rarity, and price of each piece, most of these hypebeasts have such a lack of fashion sense they couldn’t put together a decent ensemble to save their life! At best, they start with their “holy grail” shoes, and try to match the rest of the wardrobe with the same colors, which comes off sooo tacky. I mean to each their own, by all means. But for the prices you’re paying, at least TRY to look like you know fashion.

I'm fifty years old and I've been mad about trainers ever since I got my first pair of Adidas voyager kids when I was eleven years old,I can still remember the fresh out the box smell like it was yesterday and I've been mad for trainers(primarily adidas, ascics, ewing, puma and 80's nike pegasuses and some NB'S). What I've never got though is the Jordan thing and Nike air max/shox,these have got to be some of the most over hyped, over rated trainers in the game, they're ugly as hell and the quality's for shit. My girlfriend's a huge air max 90&95 fan and without fail the "air bubbles" in the mid-sole burst and split after around four to five months EVERY time, without fail.Oh and don't even get me started on the pricing, all for shoes that are predominately made in China. Nah man,Nike,to me,are and always have been a joke.

As someone who has been following the fashion and hype beast world, I've turned to buying fakes for a few reasons. When I was younger and didn't have a job, I always wished that I had the money to buy the 1k sneakers and thought it was the coolest thing in the world. Now that I have a job and am in college, just the thought of spending more than $200 on a pair of shoes to some reseller is insane to me. Now don't get me wrong, I understand the idea of limited items and clothing which gives those shoes the interest and want int the first place. My problem lies in a markup that is not warranted and way too high just because a shoe is sold out. Buying reps has allowed me to delve deeper into fashion and the things I like and appreciate for the design and thought behind the clothes, and has helped me find a style that I like without blowing tens of thousands on things I might not wear 4 to 5 months in the future. Don't get me wrong, many people still buy reps to seem like they have money for things that they don't, but for me and lots of others that see fashion as more of an art form, reps are a relatively inexpensive way to find clothes that express who you are and what you like. Really good video overall, and It's nice to see you putting your face and more of your personality in the videos. Helps the content feel more genuine and makes it feel that the things you're saying are your real opinions.

I’m really into fashion so if I like it I like it and I’ll save up to cop if I really want it, and me really liking it is the only reason I’d want the real thing in the first place. Plus alot of those shoes look really nice, but obv the majority of people cant afford those, so gettings reps for $150 rather than 2k is an easier and less financially taxing way of getting into a sneaker subculture (ftr fuck resellers)

I think it’s crazy how much shoes can resell for, but that’s just a part of sneakers IMO. Having grails, hyped shoes, and super rare sneakers keep sneakers interesting. It’s not the materials, but the demand that should dictate prices, which are why they’re so high.

This might be a long one but whatever, my introduction to fashion was Pyrex Vision, Been Trill, HBA and the likes. Those days I feel like fashion was about the love and genuine interest you had for it, which made the hunt for those pieces all the more special in my opinion. There was an essence of joyful youthfulness in it, and though the garments were pricey, in my opinion it was also a gateway and bridge between high fashion and streetwear. I remember the days where people would queue up for hours for a drop, and in most cases it was for the toe and not the dough. There was genuine love and appreciation. Then we entered the hypebeast era (WORST FASHION ERA) where it was no longer about style and that’s what ultimately ruined it for me but not as much as when resllers entered the scene. I remember buying a pair of Jordan 4 Reverse Motorsport for £60 back in 2018 in a store, nowadays I can’t even get a pair of all white Air Forces for that price ! Personally, the cost of keeping myself alive and getting my bills paid is wayyyyyyy more important than willingly getting finessed by resellers and the inaccessibility due to everything selling out in seconds. I’d rather buy reps and use that money I would’ve otherwise spent on a pair of sneakers, on a holiday or invest that into something that’ll will benefit me in the long term. But when it comes to my purchase of reps, I’m always trying to find pieces I liked Years ago and will also be on the lookout for items I can thrift online or in stores. This one time I even found a pair of Nike x Jordan 4 Fusions and they’re one of my grailz. Ultimately, if we remove the barrier of entry and reduce adding unnecessary hype to things I think you’ll see people actually start wearing what they like and not just buy items for social currency points

My opinion is they are so many alternaties specially for bags. For example Guess for Prada and Gucci, Joop, Michael Kors and Armani for Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors for Dior in some cases. I just ordered some fake EE shorts and a Stussy t-shirt on Pandabuy because they look nice, they are cheap and some interest but yes they are alternatives but I decided to try it. A big reason is that they are so many younger people who buy authentic products and their wardrobe values thousands of $/€ but they are driving a middle class car. In this case no one would believe that the clothes are real because of the image. Instead I would buy fakes and safe my money to buy other/better things like a nice car/house to support that image of having money. Another reason is the value stability after a few years specially by clothes. And I'm so jealous that you American guys have Burlington, Ross and thousands of Outlets and Secondhand stores. In Germany we only have a few Outlets with bad inventory an TK Maxx the badder version of TJ Maxx. If I had this opportunity to get nice stuff for little money it would be different.

The only thing I dislike about about replica culture is that people think they’re fly just because the t-shirt says Prada on it. Like the other day I say someone wear replica Balmain and replica Rick Owens and thought he was fashionable because of the “brand names.” The typical rep buyer lacks fashion knowledge regarding the items backstory, and whether it actually looks good on body but instead just throw on a bunch of logos made in china. The only good thing about forcing someone to pay resell is that it makes you double think and do their research if they actually really want that item and if it’s actually worth it. I notice a lot of fashion rep buyers over consume products too which is basically the same as buying an expensive sneaker and never wearing it

i dont fw reps at all, it takes away from the legit sneakerheads. People who buy replica shoes are just culture vultures and band wagons who want to fit in, because if you genuinely liked a sneaker, you wouldn't mind the price markup. I get resell price is crazy high, but unfortunately thats how all luxury materialistic items work, their is always a resell market, and the shoe game is no exception. Especially now with so many affordable jordan 1s and other hype sihlouettes + trendy and cheap alternatives like new balances, adidas sambas and blazers, there is no reason why you should be doing rep hauls from pandabuy. At that point, just say your pretending to be someone your not and admit you only do this to impress others.
