In my opinion what really determines if something is cringe is how serious the person is taking themselves juxtaposed with how serious the situation is. If the situation is very serious but the person is not, cringe. If the person is very serious but the situation is not, cringe. When the situation and person are not serious, funny. And of course when the situation and person are both serious, also funny.

ok i think i get what Alluux is talking about with the fursuits. cause alot of them actually really ARE super well made and have alot of talent and pretty designs and stuff. but the fact that alot of them fuck in them and ruin the quality of the suit sucks cause you dont know if youre admiring the aesthetics of an actual mascot suit or a suit that was made for fuckin.
