In the original comic version, the dog was kept in a box with its mouth tied with wire. Therefore, the servant did not notice, because he could not scream or scream until the box burst into flames and broke. As soon as he heard the sound, the door opened, and out came the dog, alive and running wild. Don't blame that servant for not opening the incinerator door as soon as he noticed something was wrong. It happened in one second. In manga, especially boys' comics aimed at elementary school students, time was often stretched out in strange ways to explain situations through dialogue. For example, in baseball, players and customers speak several lines of dialogue in the one second between the pitcher throwing the ball and the batter hitting it. JoJo in particular has many characteristics of the 80's manga timeline.

ONE OF MY TOP 3 ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE ANIME OF ALL TIME 😭 THE BEST THING ABOUT JOJO IS THAT IT'S SEPERATED IN DIFFERENT PARTS & EACH PART FOLLOWS DIFFERENT CHARACTERS (from the same bloodline) & GENRE THO IT'S INCREDIBLE! Alot of things you see in Anime as a Troupe, originated from JOJO'S specifically cuz it's written in the 80s & is still Ongoing - The Show is Indeed Bizarre but It's just Absolutely Lovable, once you get yourself into the JOJO Rabbit hole there's no coming back, It's just that Good 🛐

Stardust Crusaders has terrible pacing. They could have cut half of it. While it has way higher highs than Phantom Blood I actually find this first part more enjoyable to watch. It doesn't drag at all.

The butler not opening the furnace was a censor though. The butler opens the furnace and the dog is caught in flames, with its mouth wired shut. The dog runs around a bit and then collapses.

There's parts that I appreciate of this first arc, especially as everything IS relevant to the overall story. My bad tho, we're also extremely conditioned to expect brutal injuries and stuff like it's nothing.

14:37 it's basically a trope at this point in a lot of anime. If you aren't the main character you're deaf dumb and blind, it gets pretty Egregious in this show even among characters that should know better.

Jojos a masterpiece, I truly recommend to you, maybe to react on the channel. The manga started in 1987, it's divided in 9 parts, it's still ongoing during these days and it's the 9th longest manga ever. It has influenced (and has influences from) any kind of pop culture, like real songs and bands, movies, fashion world, real events, ecc... Araki (the mangaka) has done many collaboration with famous brand like Gucci, Balenciaga, Mercedes, other fashion brands and his works were exposed at the Louvre due to his amazing art style that is so recognizable and unique. The anime started in 2012 and ended in 2021 and for now it covers 6 of 9 parts. Basically it's the bizzarre story of the descendants of the Joestar family, which are all called with the nickname JoJo, each one the main character for each part. Every part is unique from the other but ofc they are all connected. Also the power systems and characters influenced so many other mangas and anime, like basically most of the battle shonen that uses some time of power (one piece, naruto, jjk, db, bleach, ecc). The whole jojo manga is longer than one piece and jojo part 7 is rated the second best manga of all time on my anime list. Truly recommended! Also some fun references: the name Dio Brando is a reference to Ronnie James Dio (a singer) and Marlon Brando (the actor of "The Godfather", which Araki is a fan of); Jonathan Joestar is a reference to Jonathan's, a restaurant chain where Araki used to go to, and for the surname, he wanted to create a nickname that could be abbreviate, like Steven Spielberg S.S., so JOnathan JOestar, JOJO (which is also a Get Back reference, a song by Beatles); Erina is a reference to one of the Beatles song and Danny references the homonym song by Loggins and Messina.

IT IS I, DIO!!! Behold one of the most iconic villain in anime/manga. He's one of a few villain that manage to be likeable (or hate) without all that complicated personality or backstory. He's just evil

Hooray! Your reaction to Dio is 100% warrented and the correct response. We all love Dio because he's an absolute unapologetic asshole. It's just amazing how well Araki crafted him to get you to hate him so feircely so fast. It's perfection! I also give DP (the studio) props for NOT adapting all of Danny's death. It's far more graphic in the manga and I actually think considering how emotionally wound up the viewer is at this point, it would have been a bit much.... Kinda want to see it in hindsight..... but happy they made that decision so we got more adaptations.

I honestly took a long break from watching JoJo after this beginning but I was surprised how amazing it becomes later. I haven't seen everything yet (paused watching at some point, might have been season 4 or something, and just haven't continued) but I definitely think this is an interesting way to start an anime. It gives it a very unique vibe that is hard to find in any other anime.

Something about Jojo you need to know is that there is no definately answer to which part is the best. As everyone who is a fan has their own personal favorite. Plus Polls made about which part is the best doesn't reflect the entire community and can tend to be a bit bias. Now then, onto our Jojo. He is Johnathan Joestar, the Jo from his first and last name causes him to be called Jojo. Making the show's title be Johnathan Joestar's Bizarre Adventure for Phantom Blood. Edit: Before I forget, there's a lot of Musical references in Jojo. Be it songs, singers or muscians there will always be some sort of Music Reference. Of course, the characters whose name references music had their names changed in the dub.

Truth. Opinions vary wildly with Jojo’s. Some people love part 1 and 2 and hate part 3+. Some people hate part 4 for being too slice of life or part 5 for being too disconnected as a whole. Anyways I love it all ❤❤❤

Looking back on it I think Araki really went out of his way to make sure to pant Dio as pure evil. If he was just bullying Jojo at this point it would be easy to feel for him because of his upbringing. A lot of people seem to dislike part 1 but the pace is so fast I think it works, and if it doesn't you're not that far from starting part 2.

The first episode is disturbing, but the series begins truly after few intro episodes. However for me my favorite part is the second arc of the first series. So far I have watched all of the adaptation, read the part 7 and third of part 8. The series is interesting and has some great fun, meme-able moments and very bizzare moments as well.

Damn Luke! You've just react exactly as my girlfriend :'( She hate so much Dio that she couldn't keep watching the anime :( She was angry as hell with Dio because she loves animals and even if something happens in anime she will be crying ;( But to be fair, Dio is one of the best villians in anime, he makes you hate him at a point where you want to get inside the anime and kill him.
