Thanks for checking it out. It was actually shot in a paintball field - they didn’t have to do a lot with the sets in certain parts. And it could only be 1080p because that is what that it was mastered in because it was shot digitally and 2k and 4k didn’t exist at the time. However, Maurice and his team did the remaster themselves and they did a great job. Same with End Of The Line. -brad

If you haven't yet seen Hunting Humans I'd would highly recommend. It was one of my favs back in the day. It's also low budget. It's kind of like Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. The people who made it also made Fear of Clowns, which is also good.

Slashers is a very cool canadian film from a french director. I bough it in dvd the first time it came out. the next one you should try is ''End of the line'' from terror vision too. that one is a more dark and scary. I think it the last one maurice did since there is no support for indie horror and sci-fi film here in quebec and he got discourage But he should do another one, that man is very talented. 💀

I watched $lashers for the first time when Slaughterport did a commentary with Smores Indoors for it a month or 2 ago. I instantly bought this release after watching it, so much fun.

Have loved this movie since I rented it on a whim over 20 years ago. Unique, and ambitious with its low budget, but it works for me. Also, this was a commentary on the reality tv phenomena that was still in its infancy when this movie came out.I have a DVD, but I will probably pick this up. Thanks for making this video.

I actually picked up a burned copy of this at a con and I went into the film knowing nothing about it and I loved the film! I am definitely picking this up. It reminds me of a Supernatural episode where the two brothers go into a series of television shows and one of them is a Japanese game show. It has that vibe lol.

Hey, I watched this film when it came out. Despite liking the film despite all of the obvious flaws....if any film needs a remake it is this movie. All the good: First off, awesome premise. Some decent to really good acting. Especially the serial killer and final girl. Some really good well done music. Some really good quoteable dialog. Some really good characters. The bad: Some bad acting, super cheap looking which ruins the potential for the film. Of what it could of been. I'll always love the 'SLASHERS!" intro theme song. "Super-super-SUPER fine!" with all the past episodes. So ya, if I could [if I was a multi millionaire or owned a big hollywood movie studio] I'd give the director a ton of money and go "Remake it with the cash now."

I remember renting this back in the day. Loved it and ended up buying that copy when my video store closed. I jumped on that release from terrorvision when it was released and it made me stupidly happy to see this film get the upgrade treatment.
