'" My best sighting was at the Ben Franks on Sunset Blvd. and Frank Zappa was sitting there at the counter looking like Frank Zappa" Iggy Pop. That was my reaction to the great American composer and Rocker i saw twice in Chicago. I was a lucky teenager and Iggy felt the same seeing FZ at the counter. I saw the ONE SIZE FITS ALL album and Over Night Sensation. I do indeed feel lucky to have those experiences. Don't miss yours today.

@@pena.3302 "Can only guess" - ? Sorry, I don't know wtf you're talking about. I was only asking that MM hold back a little on all of his grunting/bootlicking, whatever -- not that I don't appreciate his efforts -- I do watch his interviews. (Actually, reminds me some of Michael Barbaro's The Daily -- you probably don't hear that in NZ, but whatever -- i.e., similar extraneous noise from the the MC.) Btw - I'm tveyeonyou - ( just flipping the perspective, to play with YT ;-) -- that says something, doesn't it, maybe? fyi - I'm from Detroit/A2, almost as old as Iggy, and was super-lucky enough to give him a soul-shake and rub his sweaty head in the mosh pit on his 60th b-day -- flew cross-country to be there for it -- i.e., I'm not new to him. Ok N.Z. - cue the love!! ;-) luv!
I started listening to Iggy a month ago and he became one of my favorite artist of all time up there with Prince. Already copped 9 of his albums on CD (The Idiot, Lust For Life, Kill City, Brick by Brick, Soldier, Naughty Little Doggie, American Ceasar, New values, and Zombie Birdhouse) Now I gotta get into The Stooges! 🤘🏾
"how ya doin? You still alive? ". "Yeah. How are you doin' ? You still shit?" Friends ! Not talking about that stupid show everyone loves for no good reason. This is real.
I used to have a talk by Iggy at the BBC ( 3?) but was taken down, I'm sure it's lurking somewhere on RU-vid. Anyway, it is wonderfully perceptive and, Goddamn it, the Fucker made me tear up when he spoke of listening to what was playing on the radio growing up, and then, that 'Magic' song came on, be it The Beatles, or The Rolling Stones and your life changed at that moment. Personally, this was the best induction speech for that Big-Monied, Sanctimonious lot of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and no one else could've delivered like Iggy, No. One. : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AexkfMNm0U4.html
Can you imagine Iggy Pop in your garage. If you can't you have no idea of what's going on whatsoever. Own it. And Neil Young too , the greatest American Rocker ever.
