I've never experienced Jim Crow and neither has Byron Donalds. We all need to be learning from our elders. My grandparents never spoke about their younger years and now that they're both gone, I wish my younger self had taken more time to speak to them to find out why. I'm glad my Mom's still around because she's witnessed some of the things my grandparents had to endure. Get those memories while the witnesses are still here to speak.
