5:28 That was Inspectah Deck AKA The Rebel INS 8:28 That was GZA AKA The Genius 12:07 That was Method Man..... FYI Redman is not a member of the Wu Tang Clan. 16:15 Ella Fitzgerald is a famous Jazz singer and former vice presidential candidate. At the time song was made she started the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation which gave grants to the at risk and less fortunate. Listening to the lines before makes this verse much more understandable. But that is not all.... This is the GZA AKA The Genius talking so this has multiple meanings. Gerald FitzGerald is 9th Earl of Kildare in Ireland. Said by historians to be one of the wises and most intelligent people ever to walk the earth. Each and every line is full of bars like these in this song... It deserves a 10. Now the Elephant in the room needs to be addressed. in 1993, there was an event called "Jack the Rapper" that was aimed to promote black music with performances from Tupac, Snoop, Run DMC, and anyone who was anyone was expected to be there. Wu Tang Clan even had a time slot, but when they arrived, they told them they were cut and their slot given to someone else. Wu Tang realized that they were only know in the underground and didn't even release their album yet. They were nothing compared to these other artist. So like any cultured person raised in the streets of NYC, they said OK and took it like adults. Just kidding.... They put on Stocking over their heads, Hijacked the DJ booth and stormed the stage snatching the Mic. The song they opened with was "Wu Tang Clan ain't nuthing to F*** Wit" The whole world knew who they were after that performance and giving that song anything less than a 10 is questionable.

10:02 the sound was on purpose. Does sound old but it was a signature style for Wu at that time. A lot of there solo shit has different production. And they did deviate from the sound in later albums.

Sometimes you gotta stop dissect and rewind the bars bro.. This was 93 and still can keep up with the lyrics of today if it was over a trap beat. I’m happy to see u reacting to real hip hop but you can’t skim pass classic material either. Then I guess you just had to be there 🤷🏾‍♂️.. 🫡#salute

This is not the best group album. Not even close. It didn't age good like a bone thuz n harmony album. A 8ball & mjg album. Some songs age ok but for as a complete album. It sounds out of date
