+DOOM They are all the illest. I grew up on this and thought they all killed it!!!!!!! No one is better than the other its a perfection of harmony between group members.
These guys were/are beastly with their craft. Goose bump producing...Shit, I just blew out a speaker in my car for blasting this song. I agree though, Deck's verse is the illest EVER.
+Jacqueline Burgos Ok ill admit it too, Deck's verse is the illest. Perhaps thats why they started off with it to hook your attention and keep it. Its usually save the best for last to finish you off with WOW next song please! So is Raekwon second?
For real, was gonna comment on that just now, he could have just yelled in his ODB way and Deck would have been either waiting to go or going over it. but he was in and out like a timing god.
mam seven Paktofonika, Kaliber 44 And 3xklan they are all as good as wutang clan maybe except Paktofonika and Kaliber 44 they used to make some next level shit now Paktofonika dosent exist because the Best rapper out of them died and kaliber 44 recently came back but way shitier Than in the past because the same guy from pfk left k44 and joined pfk then commited suicide.
We'll never see nothing close to Wu Tang again. A talented group of 9 members that can drop 9 hot verses that flow together seamlessly, the chemistry is amazing. .
Damn bro in hip hop history I wouldn’t say all that it’s maybe top ten but off all time that’s reach what about melly melles the message verse or nas live at the bbq,ice cubes straight outta Compton, bigs unbelievable, prodigy’s shook ones,ll cool j rampage, nikki’s monster, ghostface impossible, rakim’s follow the leader there’s a lot of verses that can rival decks joint as dope as it is
@@Beeanns “Dog Shit” is the song ~ Track 21 on Wu-Tang Forever - which was sandwiched in between two other songs "The MGM" and "Duck Seazon" on Wu-Tang Clan’s revolutionary double album
Ghostface on Impossible and Nas on Verbal Intercourse too. There are a couple of other Deck verses that he also kills like on Gang Starr's Above the Cloud. The man is just ill. He just wasn't lucky enough to be a Wu member with a classic album, that's all.
I agree. In my head I switch “Socrates philosophies and hypotheses” to “high prophecies” and it’s somehow even better. This is the goat verse we should permanently encode on Mars when we get there and Triumph is the track that aliens should get first. This, and probably some Mozart.
Black INFINITI I feel you. I miss New York. I miss home. Watching this reminded me what it was like to have my brother hand me a tape and play it in my Walkman and be blessed with new Wu Tang. Those were good times.
Everything about this track and performance is deeply satisfying. What’s more Wu-Tang than dropping a first single that is a five and a half minute song with no chorus and nine verses? People are chanting these lines like choruses. They are still inspiring the next generation because Wu-Tang is for the…
Bro I'm 44 and he got me bumping my head up and down hard as fvck. Meth energy still crazy and that Hilfiger pullover fleece.. JESUS H CHRIST. #forthechildren#forever
I met ODB in the VIP section of the Tunnel( GZA’s release party) his energy was unparalleled. He and another wild dude from my hood were slam dancing 😂💯 RIP Dirty
Just finished watching Wu-Tang: An American Saga for the 2nd time. This time with my 17yo son with my presence to help guide him so that he doesn't misinterpret stuff & think its glorifying the negative stuff. Its making him see & understand the hardship & consequences when negative & wrong choices are made vs the fruitful life rewards when positive & correct choices are made in life. Wu's negative ways got them nowhere. But RZA's persistence of getting out of the ghetto through his music yield greater reward in life. PEACE (Positive Energy Actives Constant Elevation) The unfortunate other side of the coin is OBDs substance abuse which resulted in his spiraling down, which resulted in death. RIP ODB 😢 You will always be missed. ODB was right. "Wu Tang is for the children." ---ODB
I'm honestly jealous of this whole video, of this moment of pure joy captured by these cameras. Every single person was having a blast. Top quality crowd that gave more energy to an already powerful band. To see ODB genuinely happy in the back made my eyes all humid. Bless the era when nobody in the crowd was filming with phones.
Joshua Stephens Method Man had the most charisma and stage presence. RZA knew this and wanted Meth to be the 1st breakout star. That's why RZA wisely let Meth have a solo song on the first Wu album and let him be the 1st to release a solo album.
Tawahna Green you right. but I gotta give the best solo album in the Wu clan to Raekwon the chef( purple tape) straight🔥🔥🔥 Meth first album is classic, but it won't touching that purple tape fam.
If you’re watching this and never knew or saw Old Dirty Bastard perform in your lifetime I really feel bad for you😢😢😢. Y’all youngins really missed out.
To me Deck is one of the most underrated of the clan. His verses always hit hard, don't see how he did not get a solo album deal for so long. I guess he was just a bit too normal as a person to get that full attention.
It's so sad how few of the current generation know them, and how almost none know this verse. "Shacklin the masses with drastic rap tactics" you can't get better than that
Arizonaisaplace the only verse that compares (and in my humble personal opinion is better than decks verse on this) is holocausts on the track “holocaust” on the Bobby digital in stereo album.
* literally everybody (the crowd and the wu): WU TANG! WU TANG! WU TANG ! * ODB (alone) : yeahhhhhhh!!!! Ohhhhhhhhhh heeeeeeeh! I'm the Dirt dog ! I'm the Dirt dog ! I'm the Dirt Dog🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 One of a kind , really one of a kind.
An original no doubt.. There won’t be another like Dirt McGirt Evaa! With his genius lyrics forever celebrated how funky and Dirty he was and killed it every time.. wuuu “WELFARE CHEESE” omfg
@@jeremiah4784 actually in the documentary the entire Wu said Cappadonna used to crush everyone in the Wu. Capps was and is a beast. But for me ODB lyrically was just off the chart In straight Rawness ODB was on a whole different planet.
The NY state of mind tour brought me here. Just saw them last weekend in Minneapolis and it was amazing. It was so cool to see Dirt dog's son representing for his father on stage.
Personally I dont see it. I think people just say that 1. Because he was unorthodox and talked from his heart 2. Because he died early. In reality his flow was pretty crap imo. Cappadonnas flow and rhyme scheme is off the charts.
WITH NO TOO MUCH TO SAY: LOST MY WIFE AND SON IN A ACCIDENT IF I'M STILL ALIVE IS BECAUSE 36 CHAMBERS CAME OUT AND ENERGIE CAME THROUGHT MY BODY AND THE WU-TANG GAVE ME THE INSPIRATION TO LIVE AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH RZA, RIP ODB AND THE ALL GROUP LOVE YOU, TRUE STORY
Kinda lame how the crowd got more hype for meth than deck, decks verse is probably one of the sickest in the history of hip hop period. I love method man, but come on now!
