Wow, I love where you chose your apartment. Very Nice! In regard to the employees--I'm not sure if the store is government owned or not but in China they try to employee people so they have a job. I have a friend who works in a government job in China and they told him that the government wants to eomployee as many people as possible so people have jobs even though some jobs will only take one pwerson to do, and there may be 3-5 people doing that job. For government jobs, the government still makes money but they could make a lot more if they cut down the number of people working but the government doesn't see that way....if people are employed there are less of overall societal issues. China also has policies that if anyone sees anyone homeless it is the business or community's job to offer help. So I would assumed that some of these businesses in China are that way as well.
our friend must not be Chinese. Because the Chinese people all understand that the government will build roads, power stations, schools and hospitals, but they have never heard of the government building supermarkets and shopping malls... Not a single supermarket or shopping mall belongs to the government in China.
@@djadventurearchives do native english speakers still need a damn fccking BA or MA degrees just to teach english to kids? Isn't a TEFL certificate good enough for schooling young kids?
they finally reopen their border I was planning to visit my friend in China last year but the 14 days isolation and the whole pcr qr code thing is just too much😂
I've been asking myself the same question since I first came to China. They are super annoying and not to mention disgusting and smelly. And there is always chorro on them lol. It sucks cus alot of places still have them and sometimes I have to go really bad and there is only Chinese toilets. Let's just say these toilets ain't good for big people like us lol Also there is never any toilet paper in Chinese bathrooms you always have to bring your own toilet paper lol ya this is one of the only things I dislike about china loL

Before you showed up to China how much Mandarin did you know? I'm just curious, how much do you know now? And do you recommend that newcomers to China to learn some Mandarin before heading over there?
I knew no mandarin at all haha 🤣😂I know enough to get by much more than i ever thought I would know because it is a tough language! I think you should learn some basics but once you are here you are forced to learn to get by so you will learn one way or another haha lol
@@BassOdysseyy my school assigned someone to help us out with everything in regards to settling down. While we were looking for an apartment they put us in a hotel and they always had someone with us to take us everywhere who spoke english and chinese. She helped me set up my bank account, phone card, and apartment as well as other important things. Most likely your school will do the same. Where are you moving to? If you need help with anything let me know.
