Elixir is one of the things in martial arts novels and it is basically, any item with power that is used to gain more of the one the elixir is responsible for. And that Elixir can be anything from a pile of snow to a piece of rock. Chang'e isn't a weird spelling of "change", it's a name. I'm not super well versed in that branch of mythology, but based on context clues I assume Chang'e is a woman with moon affiliation, since the joke was about Sun not being half-way to the moon and Pigsy has a recurring character trait of hitting on women. Also, "BDK" is clearly the initials for "Bull Demon King". ALSO also, there was an ellipses at the end of "you could never expect treachery", meaning the sentence continues. Might save yourself some time if ya knew the full sentence before stating your opinion on it.

I just figured out, or at least created a reasonable theory, as to why the horse represents human will yet is useless. The horse carries Tripitaka as a representations of the monk choosing to “carry” out his mission/ choosing to seek enlightenment yet is yanked around by the others to represent how our choices/will/willpower is influenced by the things the others represent: our mind (Wu Kong), our base instincts and desires (Pigsy) and our loyalty and complacency (Sandy).

Pretty sure that heaven is the celestial beauracracy and the hells (yes multiple) are ruled by the Yama kings that are judges of the underworld. They decide which hell the dead are consigned to, based on the records of their lives. It is beauracracy all the way down.
