I can transmit from Wuloo to my programmed Baofeng on correct frequency but cannot answer from the handheld? No PL codes chosen. Just simple channel 462.725
Great video and thank you for taking the time. Is it easy to add additional units to the system if you decide to buy two 4-packs? I'm guessing that it is as you were able to integrat the door bell monitor. Just thought I'd make sure. Thank you in advance!
All you need to do to add more is make sure they are on the same channel and settings. Simple as that. These things are great and we still use them daily.
Can I use just the outdoor doorbell unit with these intercoms? I like the ring feature of the handhelds, but don’t like the handhelds for my in-laws as they will just lose them and not charge them. Prefer the wall mounted unit. I’m considering buying a 2pack of the 666, and a single outdoor bell, if it can chime the 666. Thanks for your very helpful videos!
Hello, can you monitor multiple rooms at once? If I have 3 youngsters in three different rooms I want to be able to listen in on all of them throughout the night.
You can't do 3 at a time, but I would not use this for something like that anyway. While it's good for a quick call and chat, leaving it "open" for a long time isn't secure. Someone with a two way radio could "find" the channel and listen as well. The way these work, is just like a walking talkie in a sense... They're just setup different so they are a bit more simple to use.
Yes, the same way. Set the room you want to monitor on a channel, then monitor. Then when you select that channel on another intercom unit, you will hear it.
How does GROUP function work? Does it simultaneously transmit to all 10 channels or does it use a common pre-defined frequency between all wuloo intercom units?
@@CallMeColtLLC Thanks! Would that mean you need a Dual Standby radio like the Baofeng UV-5R to receive on both the specific channel frequency and the common group frequency?
No, you don't have to hit call. When you press talk, it will start transmitting to anyone on the selected channel. Call is just to send an alert tone if there's no answer.
I have a question for you: I am considering purchasing both the doorbell and intercom units. However, I read a note from the owner's manual that states although these units are compatible with each other, the outside doorbell unit cannot summon or ring the intercom base. Can you confirm this and elaborate your experience? If you do not have this experience, would you try it and provide your feedback? Thanks...
The outdoor doorbell unit doesn't ring the intercom. But, unless you have a very large house, usually the ring can be heard from the indoor unit. And if you are not near it, but near the intercom, you can respond to the ring with the intercom. We do this at my house all the time. If you found the video helpful, please consider using my link in the video description to make your purchase. It will help me out a tiny bit! Or, you can use the Amazon link on my website, www.callmecolt.com. Either way, thanks for watching.
@CallMeColt™ Thank you for the prompt reply. I appreciate it very much. I will definitely use your discount code or link if I decide to purchase. Right now, I'm considering several options to fit my intended needs. Thank you...I also stumbled on your video for use of a two-way radio. Great vids.
Mine works intermittently. I can call them and they can respond. Then an hour later I can call them but then I cannot hear their response. Any suggestions?
I believe they function the same, but the WL-888 has a digital channel readout instead of just having the number pad light up the number of the channel that you are on.
@@MustPassTruck A copy and paste from my notes: When you calculate everything you can (except the cross itself which would be Tav), you get two Teths and חַי and בז, Chai and Bez, "living" and "Falcon", 18 and 27, the two letters Teth are when you break 18 and 27 both to 9 which is the letter Teth which in some mystical schools of thought means 'serpent'. INRI in hebrew is ינרי (read Hebrew from right to left) and adds to 27 בז, which means 'Falcon' the sign or Horus and breaks down alpha-numerically to 9 ט, Teth, 9 because it is the ninth letter of the hebrew alphabet. Since the letter Vav means nail than 3 nails is VVV and vav is the 6th letter of the hebrew alphabet making 666, which alpha-numerically breaks down to 18 חַי, Chai which means "living" or "life" and is kind of a big things to Jews. And Chai also breaks down alpha-numerically to 9 ט, Teth. So what you are seeing encoded into the crucifixion story is the symbol of the priests of magical communication, travelling and healing, does two serpents and a falcon on a cross ring a bell? I would argue that the writers of the gospels encoded the caduceus into the text however it is difficult to trace the origins of teth meaning serpent. The Phoenician equivalent is an encircled X and is simmilar to the Egyptian glyph meaning "place" (the Egyptian seem to be more of a concept essentially meaning 'here' and 'now'), this glyph is exactly the same as the X-Men logo. However it is also interesting to note that the hebrew letter Lamed,ל, looks suspiciously like the side profile of an Egyptian Uraeus in its proper written form, specifically Wadjet, the cobra patron of "lower Egypt" and the Nile delta but that is a different discussion.
