I actually just bought an a.A model that's missing the grip(s). I didn't realize there were different variants of the quillback and only looked it up when I noticed the handle shape was different than my 98/05's.
Love that. I own one and bought it because of that reason. I agree with you on all this bayonets failures and appreciate your honesty. We collect because we like. Good job.
If you have one of these with a prominent serial number on the crossguard and frog stud and a coat of arms on the pommel below the mortice slot, then you have a Peruvian modelo 1909.
Dude! What a good video you made! You have a very good chanel! My favorite! ❤! Very interesting, i have the same in my collection. Love to see you do a unit marking video because i am still not good at it
Hey for a suggestion about a bayonet acquisition / video, I have what I believe is to be a Mexican Rolling Block bayonet. Missing the button but has initials carved into the grips. It's a cool bayonet and took a while for me to figure out what it was. I can imagine how hard they are to come by where you are located, but it'd be a cool video I'm sure!
I found your channel yesterday to look for info on a chesspot bayonet but I've looked at your videos and channel and i really love and respect what you are doing keep it up !
