WW2 Army Truck has to rescue Fire Truck from the Mud 

I am so glad that somebody got this on film! This is us in our 1943 Scammell Pioneer. We heard that the Fire Truck was stuck and needed help on the War and Peace Radio, so we went to the rescue. The fire crew didn't believe that it could tow it out but we proved them wrong. Thanks for filming it and posting it on here! :)

Army experience tells me that the Scammel was not trying very hard. They are capable of so much more.

Coolly done, a pleasure to watch! Not even a recommendation for the fire engine.

The Telehandler in the background would have got it out even quicker!

For those who have messaged on here and privately about the music, it's actually American Rock 'n' Roll star Carl Perkins... used because we had just played it on the event radio station (www.radiowarandpeace.org) who's window we filmed this from (and because 40's jitterbug and 50's rock 'n' roll are a big part of the event).

You're welcome, and feel free to share if you need. We were watching from the Radio War and Peace studio at the top of the grandstand, so it was a bit of a long zoom for the camera... but at least you can see it !
