Eagle Eyes hit the nail on the head. This is the reason why I collect WW2 artifacts. When I hold a helmet or an ammo pouch or a mess kit I know I am holding something that bore witness to an event that changed the world forever and that is very powerful.

Looks like some great stuff coming up in future videos! Loved the coastal artillery gun that Eagle Eyes was working. Jealous of him getting to do that since coastal artillery sites are a favorite of mine. Will be really looking forward to seeing that one. Whenever you find a live cartridge metal detecting, I always imagine the way you do how it ended up there. Maybe a frightened, green private who didn't have a stripper clip fumbling to load his karabiner as his hands shook and he cringed in his foxhole with bullets snapping overhead. Or maybe running the bolt after a failure to fire and ejecting the unspent round onto the forest floor to get back in the fight.

5:22 I cannot believe the condition you find so many artifacts! My camper will be ready next year then im on the Ferry 'Operation Atlantic Wall'! I have discovered a radar tower I think has not been found for many years! I want to see this! 9:54 WOW this is a superb model Eagle Eyes! I was due to fly the 2 seat Spitfire 2 years ago then lockdown happened and we all lost our places on the list! I had been waiting for 4 years - but seeing you marvellous flying Spitfire makes me feel better! We have seen EE grow from very small to tall now in all the WW2 adventures - I think he is about 18 now? Tusen takk til dere begge.

As a coin collector for over 50 years I remember as a child getting German coins from 1940 , 1941 WW2 so I also know what its like to touch WW2 history I also own paper notes from Germany on dated 1917 WW1 time I wonder how many hands or famous people have touched that bill son I love wartime history
