Pretty amazing that 2ks red headed step child game has finally caught up to their flagship one. For the longest wwe games felt last gen compared to all the nba games.
@@KoolKeithProductionsit’s honestly the most polished wrestling game in some time , it’s got a very stacked roster and many enjoyable features , I’ve put in 25+ hours in the last week
Lol it's stil a decade behind comapred to other sports games. Constant bad crowd chants like fight forever ! Or tag team wrestling ! Commentary tht is Constant and never shuts up
The gameplay is so smooth this year. I had a banger against Cody Rhodes, and it didn't feel forced. Sometimes I have to guide the AI into having a good match. This year, the AI puts up a great fight and doesn't do random dumb stuff mid match. I love it.
@@yenkocamaro6965 it's a letdown but overall it is still a decent mode. I definitely prefer it over the previous showcase modes (even tho I love cena and rey)
@@NoMoreHeroes75 so instead of trying to unlock the arenas after purchasing supercharger, they’ll be on community creations anyway so no need to waste my time?
I havent played a 2k game since 2K19 i lost faith when 2K20 came out ive been thinking about getting back into it & the one video ive been waiting for is your video on this! Im going to be getting it
Then they'd have to make new entrances for each wrestler. Each entrance is suited for that specific stage ramp size and for an annually release game it would take up a lot of resources considering the ever increasing roster size. Maybe one day they'll try working around it but in the mean time i don't see it happening.
Man, 2K22, 2K23, 2K24. 2K have put 3 very very good wrestling games on the table back to back to back. They aren't perfect of course, however it is great fun to play all 3 of them.
They kind of all feel different: reversing Irish whips in 24 always counter whips vs 22, 23 where it doesn’t; submissions are game breaking in 22 and 23, not 24; weapons interrupting in 24 makes it feel far more Wild West than 22, 23; 23 had best soundtrack; 22 had the most forgiving reversal windows and has unique pandemic content, 23 has the best showcase and roster for ruthless aggression fans
I will say that I don't mind being in the Roman Reigns long title reign spot, but I just feel it takes a bit away from so many more amazing stories you could have.
Its almost rare to see an annually released sports game to get this much praise from the masses. I am so glad for this, I am definitely buying this game.
Im a huge fan of presentation and small details and they nailed this year hard for me to give the game a break its so fun took a year off from WWE games and im really enjoying 2K24!
The sheer amount of quality content to play is incredible. I bounce around from MyRise, career, GM Mode, my Universe. Haven't even touched Showcase mode yet
Showcase while very cutscene based is such a nice walk down memory lane, and as someone who never got to experience the og wrestling it really had me loving what I was getting. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did
no yeah there were tedious moments for sure i kinda just tried to look past it and work with what i was given but i can totally understand where you are coming from@@HandsomeSteveJacobson
I personally enjoyed it. As someone who's played all the showcases over the years including 2K14's wrestlemania showcase, I do prefer the older format, however I did enjoy 24's even with it's limitations, less so for the fact of playing the match and more of just watching the old footage and enjoying it, and knowing i'm unlocking everything along the way without doing much. Objectives got a little annoying but worst case scenario for me was turn the difficulty down and it'll stop the AI from interfering all the time. The only time I didn't really enjoy myself was on the wrestlemania rumble which was after the showcase, for some reason it took me a few hours to finally win that match due to the frustrating AI difficulty. @@HandsomeSteveJacobson
I literally played an Ambulance match with my step dad who doesn’t like wrestling and is somewhat anti wrestling but he found it fun and it was a great laugh when playing
1:08 No joke when the game came out I played the first match of Cody vs Reigns at WM39 just so I could end it my way this was also on the highest difficulty as well, but I gave Reigns 3 cross rhodes, and his super finisher and he kicked every single time with one time from his resiliency, it was crazy, legit made me feel like I was actually facing the tribal chief game is amazing for sure
I had such a nice ending. Triple Threat Randy Orton (Me) VS John Cena (CPU) VS The Rock (CPU) The whole match felt like i was gonna get pinned, in the end. I hit the Rock with my signature and RKO while John Cena is laying outside of the ring, John Cena comes into the ring, RKO out of nowhere, Pinned The Rock and won the match. It felt so good, the game is amazing especially MyGM Mode
Throwing weapons and the amount of blood is my favorite new features. I recreated the cracked out match between cody and golddust and it looked just like their real match. Pure bloody chaos and i was very happy with it
I love how they made the legendary cpu harder. I had to up the cpu sliders so much in 2k22 because of how easy they were. Now they actually feel legendary
The one thing I miss from the old games, is the replay value that career mode gave. The branching storylines, the multiple year long seasons. They need to bring that back.
I do wish we can get a RTWM mode and a Season Mode where we can play as both Superstars and Created in future titles if not both maybe just one of the features, other than that can't wait to purchase just for the game play itself 😮🤘🏼🔥
Couple issues I have -When the ref goes down for the pin, he kinda just sits there for a second before starting the count. I assume this is because of them reworking the refs. -Face paint degradation not being able to be toggled. A few of my universe characters use face paint as a permanent part of them, and it disappearing doesn't make sense for them specifically. This could be solved by letting me use fafd paint as a tattoo, or just giving me an option to turn it off altogether. -The referee not noticing submissions, or not even getting into position to check them. This drives me absolutely insane, no explanation needed. -Finally, multi-man matches not working properly in universe. For example, gauntlet matches for titles don't award the winner the title. Same goes for Royal Rumble. Mentioning the Royal Rumble, it also doesn't work. The winner of the Royal Rumble doesn't get a title shot at WrestleMania 80% of the time. What's the point of a Royal Rumble then? I'm sure there are more, but these are the major ones. Overall, I think it's a solid game, but some stuff needs to be fixed soon.
The last 2k game I played was 15 and I got that one on sale in GameStop for 360 I just bought 2k24 yesterday and I got to say it's amazing to me it's been a while since I played one I think the last one was 18 at a friend's house and to me it was fun but could have be a bit better but this game takes me back to the raw vs smackdown days so fun for how little I played it
I had a triple threat between reigns,Rollins, and dragunov and it went for like 35+ minutes, the ring was just red, so many insane spots, the gameplay is so good this year
I did a fireman’s carry into flapjack on ringside by the barricades. If you direct it right, once the upper body hits the barricade, 2k made a animation this year that actually has the character’s top body hit it and fall to the floor. Not like last year where if you try that, they only land straight onto the canvas..
I haven't played WWE games since Smackdown vs Raw 2011 and also right after WWE 2K12 came out I quickly stopped playing the game after hating Wrestlemania 27 so much. Now coming back to Royal Rumble 2023 and loving it so much, I am very excited to be playing a new 2K game that will be amazing and with my favorite current superstars like Cody, Drew, Gunther, Roman, Mami, Seth... and the legends from the Ruthless Aggression era nd the WWF era
Sim matches using free roam camera, and putting yourself in the crowd is one of the most awesome things ever implemented in a wrestling game. Having a blast with this one!
Don't know about 2k24, but in 23 there's an option that changes the button mashing into just holding the button. Leagues better. Probably in 24 as well. Mess around in the settings man.
Especially the blood splatter and the longer the match the more you hit your opponent on the head, the bloodier they get all over their head , face and chest
As someone who plays wwe games in legend difficulty for challenge. I can confirm that *CPU* in this game is brutally hard to beat. At least for me. And the bizzare thing for me is that I only moved on from wwe 2k18 from switch as that was my main console because I didn't have any other console. Till I bought Steam Deck and WWE 2k24. And man the legend difficulty in 24 is very hard and. I love it the cpu are finally don't act like brain dead computer controlled players. They act like humans. They'll strategize the match, if you have are big slow and heavy they'll run at you do running moves, and dive from top rope. If your normal to lightweight your faster and you might be technical but they "CPU" can easily counter your 'attacks/moves' and find a way to beat you they'll adapt to punish you with if you play legend difficulty!
My biggest nitpick is unfortunately still here, and that's how FLAT the championships are. The universal title especially looks so goofy once you notice it.
The best thing is the gameplay. I've got no clue how to explain it and it definitely doesn't translate to video, but the best way I can describe it is that the gameplay feels "buttery smooth"
I think one very very small thing i wouldn't mind is a balance ootion for hitting the bleeding/split open threshold, sometimes i feel like the first few head shots cause vlood, which is cool but i think it could be fun to move a slider to the point where splitting someone open is a huge piece of the match
Absolute UNIT of a game! You did a great job showcasing just how good the game can be. The AI actually feels wily instead of just cheap and reversal spammy, like you're actually fighting against someone online.
I pre-ordered the game and got it day one. At first I was not very impressed and thought it was just okay but as I continued playing I got quickly addicted and now I can't stop playing it. Not that I want to stop anyway.
I love the new 2k. I don't like the submission feature because it wont allow you hold the submission. But, I love how we can throw weapons and beat up the referee 😂
You definitely notice the minor upgrades from 2K23. But what they’ve added in match types and unlocking superstar skins from MyFaction really put this game on another level!
WWE 2K22 is still my Number one favorite WWE 2K Video Game but WWE 2K24 still is a great game love the improvements 2K got another hit on their hands Legendary video and Thank you God and 2K that WWE 2K24 is for the PS4 as well hopefully they will have WWE 2K25 for the PS4 also Thank you Keep it up please 🏆🐐🎯🙏❤️
One thing I like is you can start your Universe Mode with update movesets or tag team you made in the game instead of having to make them again in Universe Mode.
2k24 is my first wwe game in 10 years, and I'm enjoying myself really much, sadly I have a game breaking bug, where every time I win over Trish Stratus in myrise and hit cintinue it will crash, so I can't continoue the story in myrise, witch I'm pretty sad over. besides that awsome game (I'm on PS5 btw)
I haven’t played a wrestling game since smackdown vs raw 2008, and I tell you this is way harder lmaooo. I just got it because I got back into wrestling. I like it though. Definitely something to get used to
Since they brought back the classic camera angle, they should add animated show logos for the mini-trons instead of a static ones. That would perfect the overall presentation, other than that it's like watching the real thing.
Its okay. They have alot to fix. I think the main thing is OMG moments, crowd fighting, online mode, chain wrestling. Pin system. My faction/my gm / my career/ SHOWCASE. They should combine universe and my gm, they should combine myrise and factions. End showcase and bring back road to WM, or season mode. It will keep the game replayable. And fun with content for over a year!!
Well now I’m going to share my fav 2k24 match I did. It was nwo bray Wyatt against Cody Rhodes in an ambulance match and cody was on one he was doing moonsaults left and right like prime perc angle while I was using all the weapons I could and made him bleed at one point. We then went backstage in the middle of the match where he busted me open with a cross Rhodes on concrete. Now there’s blood everywhere but I eventually get Cody in the ambulance and get the win after almost losing myself. The AI is so good this year and I edited the sliders to make hem more cracked out and every match I’ve had were 5 star bangers
I wish they could add more offline things. Like more showcase machines involving some DLC characters (like Punk vs Undertaker for example), or new MyRise stories
We all have our very own playing styles and ways of enjoying a game, and mine is playing casually and having creative freedom over everything I do. MY problem with WWE 2K24 is the absurd difficulty spike from the last few games, and I'm NOT playing on legend difficulty... I'm playing on EASY with the sliders all down to ZERO. No matter what I try and do, the AI seems to reverse nearly every move I make and they won't let me hit big moves like finishers or having them follow me to the top of a cell to throw them off only for them to reverse me and do a cheap move that knocks me off the cell somehow... and there are many technical elements of the game outside of me or the AIs control that makes the game feel off and unfair, like hitting them with a chair until they get up but they knock the chair outta my hand and my wrestler takes a step back which negates my window of reversing their sudden running strike that they always do. They should make easy difficulty EASY and then make legend difficulty LEGEND as it should be, and zero reversal sliders should mean ZERO and not 90%... I want to actually play the game and have fun the way I choose based on the games settings, not spend half a fucking hour trying to escape an endless barrage of near-impossible to reverse attacks from my opponent. Rant over, now I can say all the good things about this game... ALL OF IT! (I genuinely never laughed harder before at a WWE game, omfg special referee and throwing chairs at the wrestlers while counting stupid fast for no reason and blood EVERYWHERE is just so fun!)
