@Dense it's just velcro if it makes such a huge impact on your life that it helps wrestlers do their job then you are just being ungrateful As is a lot of this fan base...
@@tomkeene9004 true, it's just velcro and it does seem a lot more comfortable and easier to use for the wrestlers anyways, most important is that the wrestlers don't mind so why should we.
The super strong magnets are neodymium magnets (or rare earth magnet) it would likely work well but I think the are super fragile and most likely would end up breaking into pieces maybe that's why but not completely sure they are also more expensive not to much but maybe with the cost and the chance of breaking are not worth it
@@ReadytoDiveIn If the most prestigious wrestling title in the world looks like a children’s toy, it diminishes much of the impact and importance of the person holding it. Nine tenths of WWE’s titles look absolutely terrible and are a shadow of what they once used to look like.
I’m glad the replica belts still use the buttons. Makes them feel more authentic. But I can appreciate the velcro being used too, makes a champion celebrating with the title a bit less awkward if they want it around their waist
I feel like the snap buttons for the looks but then thing magnetic strips under the leather would work well. You can get really thin flexible magnets that are still definitely strong enough. But that said I understand why the use the Velcro, it does make sense
i noticed this too on the usos title belts. They need to use the snaps. The velcro looks cheap and the worst part is that the snaps are still on the title but theyre not functional
Well, I thought they just changed that because the snap one's were always given to the wrestler when they won the championship to take home. And I like how Asuka displays her. 😀❤️
Idk I like the Velcro. You know we used to cry about how much the generation before us didn’t want to embrace change. And we as the youth told them it is what it is and to get with the times. Well I think we as the next generation need to embrace change too. Be better than our predecessors. Idk why I suddenly wanted to post this on a random video but oh well
WWE Championships are looking like a big joke nowadays. No matter how good their storytelling is without a proper look for belts they aren't looking as important like during attitude and ruthless era(s). It's not a big W logo a problem, every main event title looks the same. That's the problem
Macho Man had velcro on his belts back in the 80s and 90s for the same reason. It's just standard now, and honestly, having dealt with both snaps and velcro, give me the easier option
Macho Man was the original Velcro strap belt holder back in the day. They switched it back to the button straps before the wm 5 match with hogan (you’ll notice the belt is different as hogan puts it on) as hogan probably preferred it that way
Alternatively, if they get creative, they could use neodymium magnets tucked under the leather underneath the buttons to replicate the click-in-place effect.
The lack of gold plates is a shame. I don’t know why they didn’t could just make the main part of the belt have a gold plate instead of the blue/red/black bumpy leather look but hopefully the next belts are better
You’re absolutely right that they’re not what they used to be. They used to be called “belts”, like they should be. Not “championships”. A championship is a status, the belt is the physical representation of it.
I hope they change this imagine some bad ass wrestler saying in a promo segment“ I’m the champ” then takes the strap of his waste to lift it over his/her’s shoulder but you hear the Velcro tearing noise
WWF title belts had the snap buttons which were a lot bigger and better title belts. Crusierweight belts from the past look a lot bigger and better than the WWE belts today
