It's been years, but the WWE Retro figures from Mattel are finally back! This was sold exclusively through Mattel Creations, and this special four pack includes WWF Hasbro inspired figues of Rowdy Roddy Piper, Mr. T, "Cowboy" Bob Orton and Mean Gene Okerlund!

Cool set but would of started with a better lineup. Piper needs a t shirt & we didn’t need one since we have a good hasbro version. I would go with a DX or NWO pack. Release some unreleased Hasbro like series 12, Rhythm & blues, Anvil Heart Foundation, Beefcake maniac, Tugboat. I hope they don’t start rereleasing hasbros unless they need an upgrade like Rick Rude & Ric Flair

The original Hasbro Flair sucked. But the Mattel Retro Hasbro style Flair was great

Yeah these are awesome. So glad collectors of the Retro line are getting more of these. Looking forward to seeing what else gets released in the future. Edit: I would lose my mind for a Hart Foundation ‘97 four pack. Bret, Anvil, Bulldog and Pillman.

I got this 4 pack of Piper, Mr. T. Orton and Mean Gene. I'm getting the next 4 pack off mattel creations of The Hart Foundation, Jimmy Hart and Nikolai Volkoff. These retros are amazing. I never had any of the original Hasbros from back in the day. My issue with the Mean Gene figure is when he does his action feature he tosses his microphone. It doesn't fit snug enough in his hand. My Piper's eyes are a little derpy looking compared to yours. Yours are painted better.

The Mr. T move is similar to the Texas Tornado move, Mr. T's arms just move up is all. Still slightly different though so yeah that is cool.

Good likeness. Okerlund is a little big though in body and height. Now we need Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Mr.Fuji, and Slick. Since Hasbro never made the managers in the early 90’s.

I agree with you. Mean Jean is the best looking figure in the bunch. He's too big compared to the other figures. Mean Jean was small, so he's out of scale. Mattel does a terrible job making hasbro style figures. They reuse the same sculpt too much. But lucky for us we got Zombie sailor toys & Chella toys. Way better figures

Tatanka and the Texas Tornado had that Mr T arm spinning move. Can't remember off the top of my head if any others had the same move from the 90's Hasbro sets.

This Piper is a MAJOR improvement over the original Hasbro. Glad to see Mr T and Mean Gene. I really want to get these!

I live the new retros but I’m new to WWE. I have series 1, series 2, series 3 from Mattel creations. Can someone explain why Mattel’s latest retro 4 pack is series 11? Is it because they have now changed to start after the previous number waves and we won’t get the pst figures again

Some of the waves never even came to Australia so, this is no huge change as far as distribution goes. I hope the next wave is a bit more… Popular in terms of the superstars. maybe Hulk, Hitman, Andre the giant, some of the real big names we haven’t had in Mattel retro but have had in Hasbro form. Fingers crossed

Its a shame these arent available at retail. Saying that I really liked the masters of wwe universe. I like the more creative stuff like that and the retros. I would like a full revival of retros.

A few years ago Mattel already released new retro figures like Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, The Rock, Cena, Lesnar, Angle, Elias, etc. so my question is: does anybody have a clue about why this new line (Piper, Mr. T, etc.) is officially called "Retro wave 1"??

I mean, any toy line can come and go. better to have an ending that an infinite amount of things to collect, but this revival seems to have plans with three more sets announced and probably more to come
