They literally just signed Franky not that long ago and only wrestled about 6 matches in the few months she'd been there. Hopefully she gets picked up by another promotion because I'm such a fan and wanna see her again. At least she can go back to being Taya Valkyrie now.

Ember Moon's release was tough for me. Watching her matches (and Asuka) in NXT is what brought me back to watching wrestling. What they did to her in her 2nd run in NXT was a travesty. She went from being nearly undefeated (only losing to an undefeated Asuka and losing the title to Shayna) to being released with a disastrous win loss record. Yep, she did win the NXT tag titles with Shotzi Blackheart, but they should've won them during the Dusty Cup. I'm so mad for her right now...😡😤

The ones I'm the most upset over are Scarlett and Mia Yim, believe it or not. Not only were they released, but so was their S/O. Imagine having the nerve to eliminate an entire couple's source of income. Frankly, it's disgusting.

Frankys debut was so anticipated and they only had her wrestle six matches before being released 😒💔

"Budget cuts" is code for "We don't know what to do with you." The real sad thing in my view is a WWE career seems to be the dream job in wrestling. Look at everything that's gone on over the last few years & how many times "WTF are they doing?!" has been said. WWE is the biggest company in the game, but they're not the best at what they do. I hope everyone that was released quickly finds that this is simply an odd looking opportunity. One door closes, while another one opens. 👍✌❤

I know not many people like her but when I found out that Nia Jax got released I really broke not from a fan standpoint but she gave confidence I never thought I had and she was the main person that made think I could potentially make to WWE one day, I'm just so heartbroken over this news

I'm so sad about Ember Moon and Nia Jax. Nia was like a modern day Beth Phoenix - ugh! Best powerhouse woman in such a long time. And Ember Moon?! She never got the main roster run I was hoping for. I am hopeful she will return someday maybe somewhere else.

Just when I think WWE can’t shock me and do something more stupid then they have done before they come through and prove me wrong ... The majority of these releases legit don’t make sense . B Fab who literally just got called up with Hit Row and sings/raps majority of there theme music you decide to release for what ? Ember who arguably was top 5 women wrestlers in the whole company could be used to make other women not as experienced especially in NXT look good you decide to release ? Franky although I wasn’t a massive fan of what I saw so far legit just got here this year and not given a proper chance to break through as of yet but you decide to release her ? Scarlett who arguably made Karion a complete package has charisma for days as even if you didn’t want her with Karion there was other areas you could put her but yet you release her ?? Mia who has been in damn limbo for over a year now super talented in the ring and would likely have thrived if you just let her actually wrestle instead you release her ?? Eva who you made such a big deal about her return , her return ended up being a flop (likely because of your direction) but instead of trying to fix it or make it work you release her ?? Nia ... I know she’s not everyone’s favourite but that woman love her or hate her was entertaining for the most part , a big character within the company and apart of a lot of memorable moments . I will honestly miss watching her within WWE . Even people like Zayda Raimer who was still so new and had massive potential and more to give . This all just sucks !

Tbh, the only ones that I'm shocked by are Nia, Taya and B-Fab. Ember was in limbo and wasn't doing anything. Scarlet and Mia haven't been on TV in forever. The hype of Eva wasn't the same as her first run.

What angers me about this is how dull WWE has become. I TOTALLY see Eva being a “The Kat 2.0” type character: not a good wrestler but winning the title anyway. Scarlett and B-Fab are AMAZING managers and there are so many storylines that could be done! Ember, Mia, Nia, and Frankie breaks my heart because they’re also talented and amazing wrestlers that could have added flair to the division

Literally agreed with everything Paloma had to say about Taya Valkyrie. With all these hot releases this year, I'm truly contemplating whether I should stop watching WWE altogether. You build up these characters with enormous talents and get us so invested and then you let them go?! What Fandom are you catering for?

This sucks. SOOOO MANY women were released and big names too. Ember was doing good on NXT Nia got way more herself and really entertained me B-Fab is part of a popular stable and I love her confidence Mia Yim never recovered from her "Reckoning" days I was sooooooo scared about seeing Dana on the list too. I'm glad she's still with the company.

I really hope that Nia takes this time to improve so much more than return to WWE and prove everyone wrong. Eva Marie, Nia Jax, Ember Moon will be missed heavily.

One of the many problems with WWE, specifically Vince and his team of gross, old white straight creative team is the get fixated on one or two “stars” and completely ignores and buries all other potential stars that the fans really want to see be pushed as a top star or champion. Vince is insanely out of touch with what fans actually want. He just does what his old brain wants. It’s sad and scary and gross.

Honestly the only one I'm surprised by is Nia Jax. Now is a great opportunity to have Piper Niven back as a badass imposing character. Ember Moon will be fine. She is a great talent with an awesome unique finisher. She would be a great get for AEW or Impact.

Not sure about Eva but somewhere in my mind I wanted her to be a big heel who couldn't wrestle. Having Doudrop with her could have achieved that like a bodyguard but maybe someone else other than Doudrop because she is quite a natural face.

Sadly not surprised with Ember Moon or Mia Yim. They’re amazing but WWE had been misusing them for years. However, I was SHOCKED with Nia Jax. I thought for sure Nia’s tenure and family ties would keep her in the company for life. Personally Eva Marie is no big loss in my opinion but still kinda surprised to see her released so soon after all the hyping up of her return.

I do wonder how the contracts of the wrestlers are written up. In most other sports you can’t just release employees from their contracts except for serious misdemeanour so how come it’s easy for WWE to release wrestlers in this manner? I am genuinely curious

Nia probably wanted to be released (dont see they just let her go if it was not mutual). Eva contract was only 6 months, it was meant to be short. Scarlett and Kross probably heading to impact as well. The rest.. idk, maybe Zayda will go to nwa

But on a serious note I believe every one of these releases will make impact, AAA,AEW and New Japan that much better stupid move wwe ….. but you still have charolett and her tantrums😄

I do think WWE is in the mind space now where if a talent says they're unhappy (backstage, twitter) they will take note and grant your release.

Its clear that wwe is moving in a younger direction as it relates to pushes. They released a lot of upcoming stars who are in they're 30's. Its pretty obvious and its sad that in the world we live in 35 is too old to invest in nowadays

I think TNA or AEW could use Nia Jax, Ember Moon, and bring back Mia Yim. Those are very great talents you could use in your company.

I heard a rumour the real reason for these releases as well as the previous ones is because Nick Khan with Vince's approval of course is purposely getting rid of all the indie folks because they're seen too much as a liability at this point. Originally they signed them up because Vince and idiots were too lazy to make any stars and since CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and the Shield minus Roman Reign's who's WWE homegrown, were such huge successes, they just went and grabbed every top and popular wrestler from the indies and made NXT with them with a few exceptions like AJ Styles being shot up immediately to the main roster. It worked for a while until they got called up on the main roster that is. Then 2019 came up and WWE pretty much tried to hoard as much talent as possible so AEW won't get them and hopefully die off. Problem is AEW didn't die off and with WWE misusing so many of them, jumping ship to another promotion after their contract is up became too much of a recurring thing, so Vince is cutting his losses with the indie folks and trying to get rid of all of them. With the top merchandise sellers being the last on the list since WWE wants to milk those folks for all their worth. This is also why NXT went from the brand with the indie darlings to the brand with all the new wrestlers Vince is trying to build from the ground up. Would also explain why they're destroying every tag team left and right because they're all the indie folks. Essentially they want to get rid of all the indie folks while simultaneously trying to wreck as much of their star power so when they do go to another promotion, will take a while for their star power to be what it was before they went to main roster.

Backstage segments really gave the women back in the day in depth characters and dialogue other than the in ring promos, I realized they don’t do that as much anymore , no hardcore backstage fights, street fights, bar brawls , nothing that they work with to make the women more interesting. The story telling today is a**

Can I just say I'm absolutely lost by Scarlett Bordeaux... Like she's literally the epitome of what a WWE women's wrestler should be. I feel like with the rebrand of NXT too, she practically could have been a member of Toxic Attraction or done her Smoke Show act. Overall, I'm sure there are a lot of women here that still have a big career still after their release. There's just a lot of missed opportunities to see big stars be made, and that sucks.
