When it comes to Romans return, you MUST have his music play, at this point it's really part of his character, it fits so well with how important he is.
I like the Bloodline 2.0 story, but the problem is just that the story of them has felt like it's in a holding pattern for the last month until Roman re-enters the picture.
My thoughts are if Gunther/Priest go on Before Liv and Rhea, you have Fin Balor turn on Rhea and side with Liv. Now you've got two sides of Judgment day, or Priest, Rhea, and Dom go off on their own.
I think Jacob Fatu has been booked as a beast for a reason, maybe the reports were a deliberate work because you can quite easily not have him taking out like 2 people every week. He is overshadowing Solo, but I think it’s by design.
Thing with Fatu is they’re presenting him as a beast (as they should) but they’re not even showcasing his amazing mic skills. He could easily be the main guy
I won’t be surprised if Rhea wins the title back only for the big betrayal reveal during Priest’s title match. Also expect Raquel to come back, probably during the raw after summerslam. Interesting to see which way Raquel goes since she hates Rhea but will she go along with this darker Liv. Don’t think Liv will get both Raquel and Dom by her side.
I have to say. Gunther is the obvious choice but they can still have priest win. Would be really funny and kinda cool if this is when he finally wins clean to cement his babyface turn. But then there’s Finn. Very interested in this match.
Surely the reports that WWE were hesitant to bring Jacob in because he would overshadow solo. Have been completely debunked. If you were scared, someone was going to overshadow someone, then why would you have them debut in such an epic manner? That doesn't sound like something you're going to do for someone that you're scared will overshadow somebody that you're trying to build. What's more if you actually look at Jacob , in MLW and you look at him now. It's clear why they've kept him off TV because the guy has been working out like a beast. That's why they waited not because they were scared he would overshadow solo. Because that just doesn't make logical sense.
Priest wins - not sure how this happens but I just see Priest winning here and Gunther at Bash at Berlin. Nia wins - better stories going forward with Nia as champ. I think Tiffany plays a part and she'll even tease a cash-in but end up letting Nia take it. Liv 100% wins - Not sure who in JD (I'm leaning towards Finn and Dom is truly just a pawn at this point...I agree that Dom isn't clever enough) turns but someone in JD turns. Rhea will eventually win at Bad Blood. Logan wins - I am not confident on this one and I want LA Knight win but I just feel Logan retains here. Bron wins - I kinda think it should be almost a squash match. This is another no brainer. Sami shouldn't have the belt while being in the BL v BL feud. Drew wins - With Drew getting screwed over so much it just feels like Drew gets this one...Seth will of course play a role in Punks loss. Cody wins - I think Cody will win before Roman comes back. I'm not sure how it plays out and it could be with the help of Roman but I just don't see Roman helping Cody. HHH has been good about someone not just coming back and being buddy buddy with everyone they've wronged so I see a return for Roman, Paul and maybe even Jimmy Uso but they won't play a role in Cody's win. I do think Jey, KO, and Randy will add assistance though.
The problem with the whole 1997 Summerslam Bret Hart v Undertaker finish is that Drew has a reason to hate both Rollins and Punk. Taker just lost the title due to a rogue chair shot. I personally think that Rollins would rather screw Punk than McIntyre due to his sheer hatred for him, calling him a cancer in the industry. It just writes itself.
Somebody has to be one who wins a belt and loses it quickly in this new world of long titles runs. I'd count the tag title switch last night but both tag belts feel like they can just be flipped whenever. All the singles belts have been treated like once you win you're guaranteed 6 months with it.
Wwe have been teasing Roman’s return so much now, and people are now starting to expect him to return, but I don’t think he will. I think they will swerve us with a rock return, make the story feel like the bloodline is in control and must be stopped, and the only man who can stop them hasn’t and won’t return. Also I made a bet with my friend and would really like to not have to review every Kanye song!
The show looks like it will be a fantastic time but man, with a 7 match card, the sheer amount of commercial breaks on this thing I am paying for is gonna be a struggle.
I think a hooded figure will cost Solo. After Cody wins, the hood comes down to reveal Jimmy. The Bloodline surround him in the ring and then Roman's music hits to make the save. Good Bloodline stands tall as the show closes.
The fact people can't fathom the whole point of the bloodline standing tall was for them to take out each of cody's allies 1by1 and also turn randy heel. It's not that hard to grasp
Remember what Solo said after Wrestlemania. “Losing has consequences” I think that’s an important line to remember in Romans’s or maybe Rock’s potential return
Regarding JD, I think the end result should be everyone, including Dom, turns on Priest & Ripley to side with Liv. Rhea is already a face and Priest is ready to go full babyface, plus its an ironic twist that JD kicks out Priest and Rhea, as that's exactly what happened to Edge. As for Dom, he's a big heel. He should just be a heel going forward because it suits him so well.
My Predictions: Gunther to beat Damien Priest to become the new World Heavyweight Champion Bayley to beat Nia Jax to retain the WWE Women's Championship Liv Morgan to beat Rhea Ripley to retain the Women's World Championship LA Knight to beat Logan Paul to become the new U.S Champion Bron Breakker to beat Sami Zayn to become the new Intercontinental Champion CM Punk to beat Drew Mcintyre Cody Rhodes to beat Solo Sikoa to retain the WWE Championship.
I’d argue that Drew has been Bret Hart and Punk has been Austin. Think of it Bret kept getting screwed and nobody seemed to care and Austin was the one stirring the pot. Also Luke hearing you talk about all the Fin clues I had a vision of seeing the clues revisited like the end of the Faith No More Strip Search video.
I actually think its been a positive waiting on LA Knight to win the title. Its shown he can actually keep crowd support and momentum as a popular midcard talent
I've got a crazy pitch. Have a DQ finish. Have Romans music hit to distract Solo, Cody hits the Cross Rhodes and as he goes for the pin the Bloodline 2.0 jump in, but have Solo loft the shoulder just in time
Here's what grinds my gears with Damien Vs. Gunther. Nobody can say a valid reason for Gunther winning other than Papa H loves the guy. There's no valid story reason for Gunther to win the title. Gunther wins, then what? Who does he fued with? There's nothing there yet for Gunther. The only way I see Gunther winning is having Finn cost Damien the title, but then you ruin the big reveal for Reah Vs. Liv. Damien retaining makes more sense. He proves he's the real deal. You can set up Damien Vs. Finn for the belt and give Gunther the redemption against Damien in the future. The other thing is Seth, McIntyre, and CM Punk are gunning for the title come Mania season. Are you going to feed them to Gunther? Idk. It doesn't make sense to have Gunther win.
Gunther can go on to winner of Phil-Drew, followup that with him facing the winner of Seth/Loser of Phil-Drew, circle back to Damien around Rumble time. Then if your going Dragonov-Gunther for Mania then you set it up by Ilija being the Iron Man in the Rumble only to fall just short, then he wins the Chamber after being either one of the first two or the first one out of the pod. If you really insist on waiting till Bash in Berlin... Fine? But as someone who believes we are heading towards Rhea-Dom-Damien vs Finn-JD-Liv.... Damien doesn't need the belt in that feud.
@SteintheKid so you feed either Seth, Punk, or Drew to Gunther just to have a repeat match from NXT at Mania? Idk..... I can't see that happening so soon. Besides, Gunther's gimmick isn't connecting with the fans. Or at least his promo doesn't seem to have any reaction from the fans. Other than the typical booing a heel gets by insulting the crowd. Having Damien drop the title now undermines the whole "I have to prove I'm worthy of this title" story. He loses the last 4 months of work just goes out the window. He wasn't good enough cause he just lost to a guy that before last monday, he hasn't had a televised match since May. Yeah, that doesn't make sense to me.
So...then Drew vs Punk should've been HIAC afterall since everyone is spinning off. The Itchy and Scratchy/Punk Drew routine is getting old. Drew needs to win or get dq'd for going too far.
What if . Hear me out , one of the members of the blood line try to interfere, jimmy comes out and kicks one of them , they jump jimmy , distract solo , Cody wins , then the bloodline attack Cody .. when Jacob Fatu is about to place the necklace on solo , Roman’s theme song plays 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I've never bought Solo's thumb poke of doom as a finisher. Unless the wrestler who takes it kayfabes a crushed larynx for the next few weeks, then what the Hell is it? Dude pokes you with a thumb and it's all over.
I've got a feeling that we might actually get Brock Lesnar coming in to help Cody when the odds are stacked against him. He hates the Bloodline, he's still a Paul Heyman guy when the chips are down, and he respects Cody.
I’m thinking the swerve is Jimmy returns to cost Solo the match, Cody wins and then the Bloodline attack Jimmy and THEN Roman returns. It doesn’t really make sense for him to return and help Cody but it does make sense that he returns to assist Jimmy.
Im starting to think Seths "i will count when i want to count" makes me think we will see a recreation of SummerFest 97 but Rollins refuses to count and when he and Punk are going at it Drew recovers and hits a claymore and gets the win
I have a feeling Nia vs Bayley might underdeliver. They had a good match in NXT sure, but (and this very much is just my opinion and probably not the prevailing one at the moment) Nia has only marginally improved on the return run. She got a little safer in the ring, but there hasn’t been a single match since she came back that I went “oh wow Nia really stood out and showed dramatic improvement.” Couple that with the NXT crowd from the black and gold days having their good match in their minds and it’s setting an even higher expectation that I don’t think it’ll live up to. I hope I’m wrong, the last thing I want to see is disappointing or bad matches, but I just have not seen anything that gives me the feeling of this being a big match.
Ilja v Gunther would be an excellent BIB main. Both dudes are wXw legends and you can bet that a lot of that PLE crowd will be wXw fans. It's a nice treat for the crowd. I'd rather Bron, who presumably is winning the IC Title; have long reign and I think you can build to Ilja v Bron down the line. Possibly at Mania.
The Smackdown this Friday should end as follows: Bloodline 2.0 is in the middle of another beat down on Cody. From the entrance, Paul Heyman steps out, wearing a neck brace. He watches for a moment, as the Bloodline stands over a fallen Cody and raises the ones. Then just as the logo appears in the corner of the screen, Paul takes out his phone and, very deliberately, says. "Call Roman Reigns!", and fade to black.
My prediction for the main event. Randy and KO attack bloodline getting them out of there. Hooded figure attacks Solo causing Cody to win. After match hooded figure revealed as Jimmy Uso. Solo and Jimmy face off and Roman’s music hits.
The Punk Drew finish can go either way actually. I can see Drew winning thanks to unintentional interference from Seth. Drew leaves happy and now Seth has cost punk like he cost him
Or...Roman's music hit after Solo win, someone walking in a hood and mask comes to the ring, puts the ulafala on Solo only for Solo to put the ulafala on him, hands him the championship, and reveals it's The Rock
man I'm excited for the whole show but looking at the card it makes me sad there isn't any tag title matches, and they haven't built to anything for them. i miss tag team wrestling it feels like both companies haven't been building there tag divisions much lately
Yeah, having the tag title match on smackdown is dumb, they should've had different challengers and been on the PPV. I mean.. with Gargano is just. makes. sense.. I definitely do prefer the product we're getting these days, but some of the booking decisions have been confusing to say the least.
What about this, Solo calls in Fatu to finish off Cody and Fatu takes out Solo and say "For MY Tribal Chief", then Raynes music hits. Raynes sent Fatu in.
I don't think Roman physically returns at SS... but his music plays distracting and costing Solo. Solo then goes on TV and demands Roman show himself. Weeks pass, eventually Roman returns, asks who the hell Solo is to demand anything of him. Bloodline 2.0 attack and beat down Roman. Roman turns to Jey/Jimmy/Rock and sets up WarGames match, Rock turns on him there, setting up Roman/Rock at Wrestlemania.
Nia Jax wins here. Jordynne Grace vs Nia at Survivor Series. Grace wins the WWE Women's Championship!!! It's Tiffy Time! Stratton cashes in and wins the title from Grace. You want a first time ever? A non-WWE wrestler wins a WWE title on a WWE PLE. And it's counted.
Suggestion for the Roman return: do what Dan said, rhan have him leave, Solo goes mad over the next few weeks, and then have the music pop on the go home show or at BiB. Roman isn't gonna be there every week anyway 😂
I have another idea for Roman return, if we go off history of the Bloodline, I think we will have the return of Roman at Summerslam but I see him doing the swerve of pretending to save Cody but infact joining the bloodline under Solo. Solo then will treat Roman like Roman treated Jey at the start of the Bloodline and over time Jey and Jimmy try and save Roman from Solo and the new bloodline members, (Sami role).
Honestly think you're being a bit harsh on Smackdown, for sure the past couple of weeks have been meh (really not a fan of Gauntlet matches) but it had a decent run of very good shows before that.
I predict punk gets screwed over by Seth Rollins, bloodline win the tag titles, Liv Morgan retains, nia Jax wins the title but tiffy cashes in, Cody Rhodes retains only to get jumped then roman reigns returns to help Cody.

@@Ciki92 I agree with this in theory, but if Roman/Rock or both are coming back then that has to be your closing shot of the night. Purely from a business standpoint, that will get more eyes on SD than whatever ending we get from Drew v Punk will bring to Raw. It’s unfortunately just a purely numbers based thing.
I'm predicting that in the 3hr preshow that unholy union will lose to jade and Bianca because they have done naout with the titles since winning them. And the bloodline will win the smackdown titles in the preshow also.
I don’t think Roman returns this year. Or Rock. I think Rock announces the Rumble he’ll face Cody. Roman returns that night and saves Cody from Rock which will lead to Wrestlemania feud. Elimination chamber will give us the opportunity for USOs and Roman to tag team against new bloodline three on three before mania match against rock. And then we get Cody vs Orton with Randy winning elimination chamber.
