@@DemonDriver31 I only got into playing No Mercy recently (cause i was born after it came out and didnt get into wrestling until this year) but I feel you there. Mr Ass somehow is always the one to end my survival mode runs. Other honorable mentions of bullshit opponents include any handicap match (Taka and Eddie, Eddie and Chyna, and especially Vince and Shane) and TRIPLE GODDAMN H.
100 percent man. If only there was a way to play online. The blocking and moving away features with L & R meant matches with your mates were like paper scissors rock matches trying to guess what they'd do. So good.
You never played the Japanese games. You don't know any better. Go play king of colosseum 1 and 2, Allstar pro wrestling 2 and 3, wrestle kingdom 1 and 2 and VPW 2.

A Tekken character that plays a wrestling game.. LMAO! Imagine having you created in this game and you would see how it feels to actually have the smell of nostalgia in the morning.
Lots of memories with this gem of a customizable game. Back in high school Me and my friends would de-stress and take our anger out in this game. Probably the best n64 wrestling game.
I love this game. I am a little upset they couldnt fit certain stuff in like two announcer tables, full entrances, a physical referee, rock's elbow pad physically coming off, triple H's separate hand wrap, entering the crowd, accurate faces they had before the final version, missing women entrance music, ladder falling animations, record option to keep track of your records in the ring, and things like that. It's crazy because this game still came out to be a masterpiece without all those cool features that was supposed to be in the game during beta mode. That would make the game too perfect but I guess there can never be a perfect wrestling game.
There is a gameshark code floating around that does have the Rock's elbow pad come off during the people's elbow. If I remember correctly, the person who created the code never publicly released it.

The only reason she's even on the game is because she won the Hardcore Championship in a fluke win during the belt's chaotic 24/7 rule after a scramble saw champion Crash get knocked out & various other wrestlers fought to pin him or each other for the belt & in the melee, one of Godfather's "ladies of the evening", shall we say, got into the ring & pinned the wrestler who was then champion to win the belt, only to be dropped to the floor & subsequently pinned herself. Ultimately, Crash - the "Houdini of Hardcore" - won his belt back after pinning the latest champion & escaping up the ramp, as J.R. would say, "like a scolded dog".
I was more upset with the championship paths progress being deleted than my CAW. It was one thing to just finish it once but to find all the different paths there was to one to completing it 100% was such a killer for me. 😔

One time I was playing with a friend his wrestler came out first then when mine came out he immediately skipped my intro I was like wtf he was like you skipped mine I had to explain to him that this game didnt have full entrances aaahhh good times
As a huge fan of WWF No Mercy growing up, there's 2 this I've never noticed: 1.) A couple of wrestlers could actually change facial expressions! This is something I thought only existed in today's games with the advancement of technology. 2.) Some wrestlers have unique entrance lights, something I also thought came out in the later years in wrestling games, I never noticed this before Smackdown vs Raw
My least favorite parts about this game was the blurry titan trons, the partial entrances, and the overall graphics in general. I remember complaining about the graphics even back when it first released. But it sure didn't stop it from being super fun. Though all my brother and I cared about playing was the 100-man Royal Rumbles with the first blood and TKO options turned on. The funnest way to play by far. No WWE game has came close to that sort of fun since.
They should have left out the titantrop clips altogether. Even then they looked terrible. The lack of proper entrances was the biggest flaw in the game.
@@HeemTheDream32 I was there during it's time. Right from the beginning. An no, the shortened entrances and poor quality titan tron videos was NOT great. Even back then.
I’ve never wondered this until seeing them all walk out. Why did they choose “No Mercy” out of all the ppvs including the big four to make a video game out of. Especially one of the best made that would get their brand name out there
Me as a kid: *watches default character come out w/ that generic theme while playing championship path* Who is that? When did he come into the story? *checks data* WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!? WHERE'S MY CAW? WHY ARE ALL THE PATHS @ 0% WHY IS ALL MY DATA GONE!? I HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN!? NOOOOO!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 I've had to restart maybe 4 or 5x because of that stupid glitch before I gave up altogether. 😑
@@XCassy_chanX That sounds just as heart breaking as the screw up in smackdown just bring it when using Goldbergs moveset for a caw. I think the glitch had to do with his finisher. Idk if he had just one and the other one messed up but I remember loading my file and it kept loop stuttering after so I couldn't do anything.
After all these years I just noticed that the titantron is blank. Unlike in Wrestlemania 2000 that actually has it showing the wrestlers titantron animation.
Kids these days won’t ever realize the struggle it was to convince their parents to buy a ppv for $70 to watch wwf that came on tv Sunday Mondays and Thursday lol
One thing I noticed is that No Mercy didn't have the titantron playing in the background when the wrestlers were on their way to the ring like how WrestleMania 2000 did
@@futuregohan4837: Since Kid Rock sampled Metallica with that song & Metallica cost a body part to afford seeing in concert, it's an easy answer why the song has been replaced, considering licensing fees.
Kind of glad they cut the entrances short. Put Big show back in, stop the slowdown during four-player matches, and get rid of the save bug. The game would have been damn near perfect.
I'm about to buy this game and Nascar 2000 on the n64 hopefully I already played the shit out of nascar 2000 and WWF smackdown 2 know your role on the PS1.
I wish WWE remade a new wrestling game like WWF No Mercy but name it WWE No Mercy 2.0 or something cool and have modded Arenas and new Classic:old Finishers and Tag Team matches and Manyyyyyyyyyy Moreeeeeeeeee!!! WWF Wrestlemania 2000 was awesome too..
