This is so awesome to see this day. My heart is feeling so much better after watching these videos and remembering growing up with this beautiful music and Ashley's awesome movies. not knowing the wonderful history that will continue to live on. They were such a throwback. They were pure country music. This duo would never have happened in today’s world. Wy is one of the best voices in the history of country music
No it wouldn’t of happened in today’s world, because these women know how to sing. They don’t need autotune or to go out flashing their behinds. Today’s music is non music because it does not exist. I call it Noise crap
Why would you say that? It's the talent, the chemistry the two of them had. You have several country artists with more then one artist in the group. In my opinion they would have been even bigger now if they were discovered in today's country. They are a sell out today when ever they were together. Their harmony was off the charts. Their music hit number 1 in record time. Ms. Naomi was the writer of alot of their songs. Yes Ms. Wynonna is on fire when she sings. Unless you have done your research you should probably not write such a bold statement. You sir have no idea of the country brilliance, and the fan's that would follow.

Wynonna has her bio dad's sleepy eyes...my son has those sleepy eyes like his father too..everyone would always say he's ready for a nap or he must have just woken up ..no that's just him just like WY has...
Wy, You are truly a wonderful person. I wish that I had you for a sister. You are down to earth. You are a loving person. Your first thought was to want to take your mom home and love on her, when your mom got Hepitis C. That was the right response. That is what should have happened. I don't want to be critical of your mom, but if she was so ill that she needed to retire, then why didn't she do that right away? There are times when she said things to you that she shouldn't have said, in front of others. You would be blind sighted and you wouldn't know what to say or do. It wasn't right. On one hand, your mom made it possible for you to become famous, and have a wonderful life, in a lot of ways. But she also made your life very difficult, in a lot of ways. It's like she had a split personality. Sometimes she was extremely loving and would build you up, then she would say and do things to tear you down and make you feel unloved. I believe that she did love you. But she didn't love you more than herself. Her words and actions showed that. It wasn't because she was evil. It was because she was human. Satan influences us. He puts thoughts in our minds, to try and destroy us and others. As long as we are on earth, he is going to try and destroy us and others. For many, many years he causes me to want to kill myself. I have tried to kill myself many times, but God has kept me alive. I don't know why he has done that. No one knows that I don't want to live and they don't know that I've tried to kill myself. The ways that I have tried have always been with pills. No one would usually stay alive with the amount of pills that I have taken. For what ever reason, God has kept me alive.
I think Naomi in some ways didn't want Wynonna to out grow her. That's why she'd build her up then tear her down. She wanted her to stay dependent on her. It was unhealthy but Ig it's what she knew. But it don't make it ok. But it's not for us to say.
They had a hard life. But they became Famous people. Naomi Judd looked happy as long she was singing. You know I have lived with Manager depression all my life since I was 14 years old. I am not going to end my life over the depression. I'm not going to I have not wanted to die. But I don't have it none . Because I want take a medicine that gives you suicidal thoughts or be like a Zombie. I fight it every day. Put I am a happy person because I love life. I will fight it every day. And I say Satan get behind me leave me alone. I'm GOD'S CHILD. And I will keep saying I'm God's child
Hepatitis C is treatable. This never made sense to me. How convenient, in a way, that the illness would occur at the precise time her daughter was about to get married. Hmmm. Also, how fascinating that Naomi somehow found the strength to go on one last, much lauded, farewell tour. None of this makes sense. It does if you know anything about adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, what they can become, and how well they can hide it, without the proper help. They can be extremely manipulative, especially to their own children. I believe Naomi is very good, at appearing to be an exasperated, but loving mom, when in reality, she manipulated Wynonna into believing she couldn’t make it, without her Mom. Many survivors can have a child, for all the wrong reasons, to create a little version of themselves, who can never abandon them. Not the other way around. So they very insididiously, plant the seeds, in the child, that will create self doubt, one moment, and confidence the next. Sort of a pattern of “I love you, I hate you, I love you, don’t leave me”. It’s a mind game. Adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse have had to lie their entire lives; they are often scapegoated by their parents, as a means of avoiding a dark truth about themselves. Statistically, the vast majority of childhood sexual abuse is in - cest. Naomi may not have intentionally hurt her daughter, but she also didn’t intentionally make certain, that she wouldn’t hurt her daughter.
@Foster Cat , she was. She was quite a liar. She claimed she was in med school, but she gave it up to help Wy's music career. Her ex-husband said she tricked him, letting him believe her pregnancy with Wy was his because his family had more money than Wy's bio dad's family. He said she went on and told many lies on him. He said he realized that Wy wasn't his when Wy was 3 years old. When Ashley exposed Naomi in her book, Naomi started telling the story of being sexually abused at age 3, and started saying she had treatment resistant depression. Poor Wy had a hard time with her.
I don't quite understand this story. I have seen videos, and even confessions by Naomi...that Wynona and Ashley had DIFFERENT fathers. Is that not true? Just asking.
I love Wynonna voice. I thought she didn't want to go on the road with her mother. Idk where I heard that from but I did years ago. But that's obviously not true.
Maybe U don’t know poor people can’t afford rent?? They move out in middle of the night owing MONTH$$$ to old landlord to NEW place they FIND that will TAKE THEM & let them move in just like they are??? I KNOW there ARE PARTS of their story in the Beginning that don’t “JIVE” for me either⁉️‼️I “LIKE” their talent... NOW “DIANE-NAOMI” has completed HER LAST part of the Family FULL of Mental Health Moments😢
She sure rips to shreds the man who loved her enough to marry her, carrying another man’s child, and raise the child as his own. I wonder if Naomi enjoyed having the power to shame her 30 year old, Uber talented, multi platinum record selling superstar daughter, by making Wynonna’s blessing, all about Naomi’s memories of being pregnant at the age of 17. A truly loving parent, would never make a moment like this, all about herself. She would ease her daughter’s fear. Naomi sure found one hell of a passive aggressive stooge for a pet, in Strickland too, by the way. What a doormat.

Wynonna got the voice and mama got the looks. Any woman would make the trade. I think there is a lot of resentment towards her mother for being a bombshell and her not so much
That's so wrong Wynonna was and absolutely beautiful. Yes Naomi was as beautiful but that certainly was not the issue between them. You probably read and truly understand all the other things that they dealt with. No way was Wynonna jealous of her Mother.
Though Wynonna is very beautiful, she probably felt less beautiful around her mother because her mother was so tiny. It makes you feel bad when you around someone who is stunningly beautiful. I've been there, on both ends. I used to be very beautiful, in my youth. Some were very jealous of me. I didn't say or do anything to put anyone else down. But some acted jealous just because of how I looked. After I gained a lot of weight, some liked me better, but some looked down on me, because of me being overweight. Sometimes you just can't win.
Try to put yourself in her shoes, she spent 24/7 with her mother when most young women are off to college, jobs, testing your wings. Wynonna didn’t have those opportunities and I don’t believe she is complaining. She’s just very blunt and honest. B Just FYI: ‘alot’ is not a word in the English language.
Did your Mother lie to you for 30 years about who your biological father is? Naomi is no saint and not always a good parent when they were being raised either.

Never was a fan. If it was them against the world then why were they having such vicious fights between each other?! Came across as so ungrateful. Also never understood if Naomi was struck down with this potentially deadly disease how the heck did you handle a farewell tour?! Obviously now we know it was the mental issues and she wanted out. The fake tears and fake sadness and next thing you know...she's all healed. Never bought any of it. So fake.
