if you want to know why steve cried it's because he sat down with his son before he left for college and told him to take his studies seriously and not behave in any manner that didn't speak to his upbringing and that he would support him the whole way. and he ended the talk by saying to him, "it's me and you till the wheels fall off". to know that his son took the words to heart and made them into a beautiful father's day gift made him cry.

My father passed away on May of 2020 with zero assets, zero dollars in the bank, and no wife. I have nothing from him but a XL San Francisco Giants Hoodie. I wear it on his birthday and whenever a holiday comes whenever he crosses my mind. He didn’t have a very successful life so he did not tell me much about how to live but instead how not to live. And that today has gotten me into UCLA where I will be getting my Bachelors in Economics in 2024. I Got a Tree blanket pinned up on the wall in my dorm saying “Strong roots from the Cordova Family” and this video just reminded me of how strong my bond is even though my dad ain’t here no more🙏🏼 ❤️
