I'm still new to board games and this is the first board game I saw and immediately liked it. The concept of the game and also the images provided are very good. Just hearing the explanation made me want to play it. Thanks for video 👍

Thank you to Rahdo and both of you for doing this playthrough! It was fantastic and thoroughly helpful and very enjoyable to watch action by action. I feel like I have played the game myself and I now for sure know that I will like the game myself. But given how fantastic this was and how extremely enjoyable it was to follow this playthorough, I also feel highly disappointed by how it was only done for half of the game. Of course all the mechanics and every bit of the game was already very nicely explained and clear by that point. But due to how much I enjoy watching board game playthroughs in general, and particularly how much I enjoy watching Maggie and Amy talking about board games, I think it's a shame this wasn't completed. I would have loved to see how the game continued to develop for both of them and how the scores compared at the end.

sorry about that. the tricky thing is the longer we play runthroughs, the more complex the game gets and the more likely we are to make errors while filming. and since the overwhelming majority of viewers stop well before the halfway point of the video, it's just never made sense to do a ton of extra work and mental load for only a very tiny tiny portion of the audience. again, apologies for the disappointment! :(

Don’t forget about the anytime action to exchange any 2 resources for any 1 resource. You could have exchanged those meat for gold!

Looks very nice, but I think that they missed an opportunity to have a brief bit of dragon lore on each card.

they wanted to ensure the cards are more readable for vision impared players, and squeezing lore on the card would get in the way of that. the game does ship with a huge lore manual though with all sorts of details about all of the dragons :)

I had a feeling that it was a visual impairment thing. I googled Wingspan cards, and the visually impaired ones look exactly like this, without the bird facts.

Looks solid and I’m inclined to preorder it. One thing however that visually annoys me even more than the card design is the dragon guild design. It looks so bland and the tile placed on it looks like it jumped out of a PowerPoint slide deck. Also the fact that the cave colors overlap with player board colors is really a huge oversight

I'm on the fence about the artwork of this game. On one hand, the boards and cave cards look gorgeous; on the other hand, the dragon cards look like they're prototype 😕

Just what I was about to say. The dragon illustrations themselves are terrfic, but the rest of the card doesn't make them justice. The point and egg icons on the right are weirdly far from the edge to make the space for the dragon look "crammed"..? The Sea Viper for example.. wow, gorgeous painting. Does the card look that good as a whole? I'm not sure.

I have a feeling that it will look better in person. It just looks really bland in videos so far and the graphics design on the cards is questionable at best. 😢

@@BenBoersma yup, i'd agree that it's likely video doesn't do the game justice. when i covered tapestry originally there were a lot of comments that the game looked bland and unengaging because it was so spare and streamlined in it's graphic design. but most folks, when seeing it in real life, i think agree that there's a nice elegance to it that doesn't translate well on video. I'd expect the same thing is true here, though i can't be sure since i'm still in mexico and won't be seeing it myself irl for a few months!
