WZ-111 Qilin - The Auction - Worth it? 

I have literally not been inclined to bid in any of the auctions…

What a dissapointing auction. 4 for gold and 1 for credits 🙄

I miss the old black market auctions, those were generally for credits and it allowed even F2P's to get their hands on premium tanks The first good premium i got was the turtle during the BM Now, all WG ever do anymore is try to bleed the whales and collectors of their gold, no longer caring to toss a bone to the F2Ps as well

I won the ISU-122-2 and the TL-7 for the minimum bids on the NA server. Those were the only two I was mildly interested in, so I’d call it a win.

ISU-122-2 was the gem of the auction. Derping for 800 and ramming for 500+ never gets old. I'm sure they will sell it multiple times in the future, but still nice addition.

Miss the sensible HE ammo mechanics too :(

T22-M was the only one that interested me but was waaaaaaaaaay out of my price range.

You can change whatever gun you want to have the Qilin gun effect in the XMLs, it's silly on the T7 Car or any fast autoloader.

I think they should have redone the order, sell the less expensive/non gold tanks first. Hitting a 24k tank on the first drop had people start to really question what was coming after and had people question how much they wanted to bid.

This was my first year buying xmas boxes and I ended up having 169k gold... 35M credits.. So I indulged in the auction.. Not sure I want to waste money on another tech tree tank with a different skin... but watching Karl Heinz play so well... it would inspire "anyone" to try this vehicle. Thanks..

Regret not getting the t-22 medium. i was saving the credits for the other vehicles as i expected more than one credit auction

I would LMAO if the Grille was AFK because of an emergency bathroom break, came back and thought wtf and blasted the Qilin.😂

on console there was actual merit to get it cause it has 560 alpha instead of 490 with a 9 second reload making it one of the better heavies in the game and best in the game for a while until power creep caught up to it. was my fav tank to play for a bit hitting the rare 700 high rolls before they nerfed the RNG of damage rolls.

Thank you for your input over these last few days. it has allowed me to save inhouse currency and still allowed me to get a few new tanks to enjoy through the rest of the year.

The minimum bid is 250,000 free XP with a competitive bid of 280,500 and 3 hours remaining. 2000 units available with almost 2500 bidding for it. I thought the auction was disappointing however as you mentioned on the SEA server, there were some bargains to be had with the free XP.

So basically the tank that was sold for credits on last auction now cost gold ??

Got the ISU-122-2 unfortunately a bit too expensive, but I really wanted to have it and absolutely don't regret it! (+ my first ever auction i am part of) I bloody love it! It is so flexible with that way-too-good-gun-handling-for-7880-damage, 2 seconds preparation is really short and 1 second lockout. It feels super flexible, yet not OP due to 2 seconds preparation, not much armor and rather large vehicle. Nicely balanced, very fun and free2play friendly because you generally don't need HEAT.

Hello, I don't know whether to buy the kanjpz or the strv s1, which one do you recommend?

I got the ISU-122-2 for 5.4k gold worth of free XP in ASIA (during a 1 gold = 35 free xp sale before the auction). Considering I also got the 703 from an advent calendar sale for 10k gold 2 years ago, the ISU-122-2 was a steal.

My main argument as to why the ISU-122-2 is not "the highest alpha damage premium tank at tier 8" is because it is not that easy to hit a double. You have to continuously aim at the enemy tank's future position for 2 seconds, or kinda do it at the last moment but then it's hard to tell exactly when that is. It would be much easier for example if you could load the shells for 2 seconds and then have a 1 second window to press the left-click and unleash the double (and then after the 1 second the shell are disconnected again or something). It has the potential of 780 alpha dmg and higher pen than the BZ-176, but arguably it's much easier to actually deal that 800 dmg in the BZ-176 because 1) It's not a double 2) insane armor, a turret and 10 degrees of gun depression.

Got the TL-7 for 11k on EU. I knew the play style would be right up my alley since I love the Char Futur 4 and GSOR 1008, so 11k for a T9 premium that earns extra credits and bonds is a win for me.

I really want to buy this tank but I can’t justify 15k + gold for basically just buying a style for a tech tree tank

bought the tl-7 with free experience for 181k - min bid was 177500 - but i got concerned in the last 3 minutes so i bumped it too 181k and got mine. Only 3000 available on asia1 wot server. wz-111 QL - only 2000 available min bid is 250k free experience - which i'll buy as i have 383k free exp still left over

Hey qb have you seen the buffs for 1.24 on ru server, and do you think they might come to eu? For example m48 patton (health 2000 -> 2200, top speed 45 -> 50 ,engine power,cammo buff and hull and turn dispersion by 20%). Also m4a1 rev ( pen 200 -> 236 ,gold pen 250 -> 270 , viewrange 390 -> 400)

I got the ISU-122-2 on NA with a bid of 10K. Managed to get my Ace in the first game, but did way more damage in my 3rd game and only got a 2nd class. The values for this tank were rapidly increasing. It was a fun few games to play, I'll be picking this tank more often.

none of these were for me, the TL-7 was tempting but purely bc its a tier 9 prem and not because of the tank itself.

I only picked up the TL-7 from this auction. Wasn't going to until I saw min bid was 10,000 and decided why not, if I get it sweet. I got it and am happy with it. Feels like a tiered up gsor 1010, which I also enjoy just being able to dump out those magazines. The rest were kind of meh and I'd rather save my gold from the Christmas event, considering I picked up the gsor 1010 and the sptk-tvp while they were on sale in the shop for gold as well.

I got the ISU-122-2, just because I thought it was cool, and I kind a like the gimmick of double firing followed by a single shot. Also, I REALLY wish I had more credits for the T-22, but I just couldn't nab it. As for the other tanks... not even worth my time. All in all, kind of glad that I held onto most of my resources. Guess I'll just save up for the Assembly Shop later in the year.

I got the BZ for 23.5k and QL for 26k on EU server. Left over gold from Christmas so was worth the snag. The rest i wasn’t interested in.

I Do regret not going for the new BZ, But it was rather expensive.

Problem is that i dont care about many premiums and tier 10s anymore. The only ones i still care about getting are the cw rewards and since i dont have a clan that plays cw campaigns i wont be getting those (because time). I'm not just suffering marathon (and bad onslaught) fatigue, i simply have most of the things they can offer me. I dont need yet another soviet td. I have the su130pm, that's all i need. The only things i want are the chief and carro. I'm a fan of challenging tanks. And yes i would splash 1m fxp, 20k+ gold or 50k bonds at them.

i regretted not getting the t22, but i think there will be another opportunity someday. i got the others, the bz, isu and the tl, because i just wanted all 3. now i'm just waiting to see what the minimum bid would be and if i really want it. just getting the 2 td's is very cool. the bz was rather easy because i also wanted another tank.

All of the auctions on the Asian server is for free XP which is ok for those who just keep accumulating as they’ve researched just about everything. This WZ-111 QL has minimum starting bid of 250,000 which if your converting with gold is 10,000. Don’t know if that’s good value for what is a tech tree tank after all

I want this since I got the WZ-111 5A and love the heck out of it. I also got the BZ and it's fun to play but I still love the wz.

I think that people naturally gravitate to shiny things and that is why the WZ went for over double the minimum. Had WG done some flashy looks on the other vehicles, I would bet they would have gone for much more.

So like how much is this tank going for? i know it's going to be gold i'm thinking 20k?

I wonder how many people actually spent any gold at all? I have none of those tanks. Im not sure if it was QB or Skil that said that its better to save your gold for season passes. At least you can get useful things. Bonds and bond equipment. I have been doing that and it has been a rather nice tip (thank you). So I have not spent any gold on this auction. Imo WG is going to have to try harder to get me to spend gold.

I'm glad it has so much gold for the auction. If you bought min boxes to get all tanks in the Winter event, you'll have about 120-160k gold. They're now allowing you to use that gold.

The only tank I took a shot at was the ISU-122-2 for 9,100 gold, and was surprised to wake up to have it in my garage. Looks fun to play and I can't wait to give it a go! Everything else seemed meh 😅

this auction is a big win for me, I finally got my T-22-sr thanks to your video informing me middle of the night all of a sudden I did not expect this at all, was waiting for the trading caravan this year if they have it , one day before the first auction the T-22 sr , I thought I would never able to own this tank in world of tanks, I already built one in 1/16 RC Tank , so QB thank you, and I just don't care that this tank now sucks or bad blah blah blah you whiners always complaint, tank too good you complaint, tank too bad you complaint, no one asked you to play the tank like an idiot, every tank has it's pros and con, for this tank I just love it so much, it is exotic and rare, but now not so rare anymore

I'm a guy with premium tanks but not much. Only pay sometimes, but I'm still sort of poor when it comes to such auctions with my (currently) 1,050 gold. I had the opportunity to bid for T-22 med. And didn't really care what would be next, because I wanted to spend credits for a tank. Ah yes, I lost the bid with only 4-5million difference. Sadge 😂

Here’s an interesting and irritating fact. I paid 22m for the T22 and absolutely hate it. I should have known because Russian mediums definitely aren’t my strong suit. So I decided to sell it. They only let you sell it for 1000 silver price the sell price of any equipment. THAT is messed up.

as a collector what i want is older tanks that have not been on sale for years.

I'm a tank collector and I'm not bidding on this bad tank, I got the the ISU122-2 for 10k gold and the TL7 for 11k this was all paid for by the 80 loot boxes from Christmas which i was able to get 45K gold and all 5 tanks. I still have gold left for the rest of the year.

I don't think I've wanted to bid on anything so far. The T-22 was kinda tempting but then with the amount of gold I've just been throwing at them in my games they are barely an issue.

So at wz-111 ql I decided it's not worth 15,000 gold to me and also not worth the 17,100 gold that is needed for the competitive bid. just to get it with the skin. I'd rather see what kind of event might come at the beginning of february.

Its my first participation in an auction and i thought the two tanks i got the ISU122-2 and TL7 were good value at minimum price on The EU server 9k gold and 10k respectively were good value for what looks like two fun tanks. would have preferred the Qilin for credits as 4 tanks for gold and only one for credits is not great but as you say WG trying to grab back the gold from the Xmas lootboxes. With the he mechanic we have now the he could have been absorbed by angled armor and done 0 damage or the magic non pen would have only done 150 damage this not killing the griller. Yes both of these have hapened to me.

Damn he was lucky. when shooting ebr I usually get armor not pene or just a wheel.. normally tank would be gone if hit.. still I dont think he would make same result nowdays.. too many of these RNG & 15-1 games where u die in a single shot oddly.

So far I got the TL and ISU-122-2 at minimum price. Well not exactly minimum as WG has the base price but when you bid its 100 gold more. So it was the base plus the 100. Still thats a good deal. There isn't much interest in them I guess in NA.

isu-122-2 gets 258 standard pen and 68 he pen :) same standard pen as the t-103 for that matter
