Wonderful ,unusual what style of dance is this great work children i enjoyed this performance thank you best wishes from the land down under and Thankyou Anton
It is based on a 19th century stylized fairytale/short story by Nikolai Leskov, "The Tale of Cross-eyed Lefty from Tula and the Steel Flea". The boy with a green apron is the Lefty, an uneducated but brilliant inventor/blacksmith. Think of him as a kind of old-time folksy/fairytale-sy "Inspector Gadget", constantly creating something unusual and unexpected. At one point he puts miniature horse shoes on a miniscule mechanical flea. In the dance, he shows the flea to the girls and they are using magnifying glass trying to see the flea and the horse shoes on its legs. Then they imitate the dance of that mechanical flea.
Judging by the name, Lefty, this dance is based on a story from the late 19th century, about a master who could do anything and even shoed a flea and shows girls who try to view a flea through a magnifying glass. )))
