I love that sample...how they made it sound like an authentic needle on classic vinyl replete with the cracks and pops...And that Third Base diss though😂
all they music was dope!!! their cds are super hard to find nowdays ..I was jus arguing with my nephew he think he a rapper hes good ..but not this mumble rap and tattoed face crap we got now days ...dislike
I am an African I don't wear Greek...must I be reminded of a legendary thief, who tried to make Greece in comparison to Egypt but they got jipped cuz their minds not equipped. ...My black friends who pledged in college used to get mad when I say this line lol
I always thought xclan was doper than public enemy. Although they share the same views , the clan just had that flavor that was so street with a conscience
sadly not promoted as the fucking masterpiece this was/is in the 90's. I get it. racism was less subversive as today. as a suburban white kid moved to a large metropolitan city a new friend gave me this tape because I said "yeah I like rap" ...changed my whole fuckingn outlook. no one had ever spoke their truth like this (not "my truth" that we were fed in school) uncensored and then made the product so goddamn funky and so information packed you cant deny it. I still go back to this album 30 years later. holds its weight against any 90's hiphop
I love this track..i remember buying to the east blackwards on cassette still got it.I love that sample with the female vocal anyone no who it is? Peace to all old hip hop heads from Sheffield England ✌️🇬🇧
My dad put me on a couple years ago I’m 20 now and he’s 50 Shis wild and I’m stoopid hooked on the oldschool bounce flow they bring🤧he said he had bboy choreography for all of the songs on the album 😂 and Thas why music is so filthy this shit will be around for me to show my kids like he’s doin now
This music is not from this world, and is why it was way ahead of its time. Listen to the words, Listen to their ritual dance towards the end and how it all comes together with the many different sounds and the scratching. But most proof lies in the verbiage, 4 predictions came to pass knowing what we know today, 1 being (The coming of Isis 3:22) X clan was the chosen vessel to relay their message, only the ones that understand and knows their ways will get it. Funky Lesson and The ways of the scales are the only 2 obvious ones, direct gifts to mankind. Both tracks are connected in topics, predictions and teachings. Look up some of the words that don't make sense to you and it will lead you to some powerful knowledge, took me years to get to this point but then i had to leave it alone because i needed no more proof. Brother Jay knows he was the messenger and was able to use the rest of the album in defense of the cultural movement they had going on which by blood and spirit were connected. Nothing after that album ever sounded the same again. Brother Jay knows this and has stopped trying to find the blessing that was taken after he did his part. ...I know its sounds like its way out there to deem as possible and wouldn't blame ya if you totally disagree, this for sure DIVINE properties all over it...Funky Lesson and Ways of the scales, titles alone reveal teachings and prophecy....enjoy...
