Murata Tamu auditioned for Yoshiki who wrote the song and is the original drummer. She Stunned him!!! She performed at a higher BPM than did!! She is a world class drummer who also plays keyboard and a little guitar.
Cheers for that Mr. Green :) I must say, you regularly show wonderful support and help. I must say, I do appreciate your support and am glad to be conversing as we do from time to time. I hope you have a great Sunday and look forward to future nerdings out :) Be well.
@@DRUMNERD Here is one of your wishes an isolated 3 camera video of Haruna of Lovebites playing Raise Some Hell. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vtxjR0CZnjc.html
You can see the other girls glancing back to her on the drums to see if she’s still alive and making sure she’s gonna make it. As well as, wondering how she’s still going
Nerd fact: Nemophila is a flower that grows in the USA en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemophila Don't know if they play this one in the right tempo but it seem so... here is a drum cover from one of my fav drumentertainer 140% speed of this song: Dainashi: ( by the way dainashi and Yoyoke released a drum video recent) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S4NliciaXHw.html
Cheers for that David, I appreciate the nerdy help. it's a gorgeous blue flower and one that rather perfectly sums up the band :) Hope you're enjoying your Sunday. I've saved the link and will do my best to take a look and add it to the channel (if that's what you're wishing of me :P ) Be well.
@@DRUMNERD Actually his drumcover of the classical Carmina Bura and Turkish march is a bit more impressive. Check out his channel.. he is a goofball and makes some fun drumming. some better than others but his foot job is sometimes amazing!
you might want to check the japan x cover of "x", that tamu recorded with her old inspion crew: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lNd3K8nCpvA.html
Her cover of X is also my favourite cover of X JAPAN by Tamu. She did X solo before and with full backing of her INSPION group, she shown how phenomenal she is as a session drummer to be seated in any band. She did the same when she covered for Gacharic Spin's drummer during NAON YAON 2021 - reading the notations on the fly for the whole performance.
Tamu is presenting er new drum kit with a drum cam version of an old INSPION song. may that´s interesting for you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MsX_10A-Lso.html have a great sunday.
5:13 MAYU demonstrating the correct and only way to say NEMOPHILA followed by TAMU opening a big O' can of whoop ass. She's covering Yoshiki like no one else can 🤘😁🤘 🌸✨🌠
As you are a drum nerd you might want to look at Yoshiki Xjapan's drummer he is legendary in japan .Composer and one hell of a musician. Tamu is one of very few who can do him justice the collapse on the kit at the end is something he would do live .Live he would drum himself into the ground and ended up having to play in a neck brace .There is live footage on YT for Xjapan .Good to see you doing NEMOPHILA (only one i not two) LOL there a awesome band These practice room videos(don for fun) are at Tamu's studio and her overhead drum cams the recordings are ok but a listen to there CD Revive either the CD or the down load from ototoy japan (its a flac file super high QU) then you get the mastered version by Jens Bogren its well worth it .And to end Neil Peart for me LOL.
Thanks for this Robert, I'll be sure to investigate Yoshiki and more of X Japan. I will absolutely ad more of their actual recorded stuff to both my private spotify play list and also my youtube channel, thank you for the great tips and suggestions. And yes, Neil Peart for ever and more! :P Be well.
To your question: Whoever starts the fight will loose because the hero always wins ;) I want to ask for a reaction to Dir en grey's song "Rinkaku". I really want to know more about the drums in this song but sadly there is no playthrough. I would recommend this live version which might be the next best thing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gKtfu4a-y8c.html Thank you!
Cheers for that. You have raised the best point there in that who ever starts it would be defeated. Now I've started watching who would win videos with all sorts :P I also appreciate the suggestion and have put that in my to do pile so hope it's up soon. Happy Sunday and be well.
As far as the shoes/boots goes, there are some metal drummers who beg to differ. Nils Fjellström (aka Dominator) plays in combat boots if I'm not mistaken and he is an extremely fast drummer since he plays black metal. The videos I can find (eg. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ldFk6_0AdgI.html) don't show his feet unfortunately, but you can see him in the combat boots in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xFGAWSh11kE.html You don't necessarily need to react to that one, I don't know how much you would enjoy the music or not. But it is very impressive to see. But I am not trying to argue necessarily, I am not a drummer and I do agree that I have seen most drummers use either light shoes or no shoes.
Those are valid points, I would say it is down to preference and the individual. From my experience, heavy boots though granted help burry the beater and generate more power and attack, do make things a tad bit harder for faster tempo or subdivided sections, doubles or kick drum based fills. I do love these exchanges with you and other drum nerd family members - diversity is beautiful. Thanks for joining me on this channel's journey. Be well and happy Sunday.
Oh dude, so many things.😨 The main thing, great band and great cover, but this other video is better to check out Tamu Murata's drum kit: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EBcuPxjbJRU.html 👍 So if you mean Kai Hahto, you're right, he's good, but not that good. On Neil Peart... I think he, along with Stewart Copeland and Ringo Starr, are the most overrated drummers in music history... Virgil Donati, Marco Minnemann or Thomas Lang could have kicked Neil's butt any given day. 😃 And before you throw a tantrum, I've been listening to Rush since before you were born.😉 Finally, Gokū or Superman... well, lets say Gokū.😲
All I can say is good job on being ill informed and this is all. Have a great day and enjoy all that you do and strive for. Opinions are subjective granted, but some are founded off more credibility than others, remember that. Be well
You critique this performance like its a all out production when its a simple studio mix and the band having fun, you need to chill. I await your drum cover of this song so we can critique your skills and sound, after all your channel is Drummer Reacts.
You critique my comment like a butt hurt fan girl. My comments and reaction is purely based off of things I love and hold stock in, if you're not a fan of that you're more then welcome to leave the channel. I would have no problem covering the song, when my studio is up and running and I have the time, by all means I will. Cheers and have a great day! Be well. P.S - my channel is Drum Nerd - I'm a drummer first, reaction second.
Neil Peart is definitely one of the best drummers of all time. BUT, you should listen to more Band-Maid. Akane may change your mind on who is the greatest. It will take many songs to hear a good portion of her different talents, kits, sticks, no sticks, etc.
Bill I do love all of these bands so far, Nemophila, Nightwish, Band Maid - they're all genuinely skilled beyond belief. I unfortunately can't, with all good faith and years of study and playing suggest there is anyone of a higher pedigree than the Late, great - professor Peart. I value your opinion and that of others but the reaches that man had is just untouchable. Happy sunday and genuinely I do appreciate you and your opinion. I hope to chat in future videos and spread more drumming love :)
I like Band-Maid quite a bit and would consider myself a fan of the band. I think Akane is a very good drummer, but I wouldn't even rank her number one in Japan personally. I would rank her among the better Japanese drummers I have heard for sure and they are very difficult to rank because of style differences, but I would personally rank Senri Kawaguchi as my favourite/the best Japanese drummers (from the ones I have heard). Other great ones I have heard apart from Akane are: Kanade Sato, Murata Tamu, Nao from Maximum the Hormone (I am sure Akane would rank her above her), Haruna from Lovebites, Junna and Yoyoka Soma. I am sure I am missing a lot of good ones though because there is a huge Jazz scene in Japan, which I am not super familiar with and the ones I have heard (Senri and Kanade Sato) are amazing, so I expect others to be as well. But while Senri Kawaguchi is among my favourite drummers in general, I would not dare rank her the best drummers since there are so many other great drummers and they are very difficult to compare.
@@MaartenT I am a huge fan of both Band Maid and Lovebites. Unfortunately those see 2 bands have fans who constantly drone on about the superiority of their favorite band and members. It is testament to those bands but an irritable offshoot.
@@tackle47 I think you have that kind of thing with fans from a lot of different bands actually (old and new), but I have noticed it as well with Band-Maid and Lovebites. I think a lot of people just confuse favourite drummer/guitarist/bassist and best drummer/guitarist/bassist. I can completely understand why Akane or Haruna would be someones favourite drummer though. It's not really a huge problem imo, but I do agree that it can be somewhat strange to see sometimes. Especially when you start comparing them to bands who are in the Rock and Roll hall of fame and things like that. I don't know all that much about Rush with the exception of a couple of songs, but I do know Neil Peart is considered as on of the best drummers.
Thanks for the comment, though if this is in reference to just saying I want more drums - it's not an insult to the others - it's a decent statement given the name of my channel is ''drum nerd'' Happy Friday.
If Lovebites wants Hara-chan and agree to term as in Hazuki with Li-sa-X BAND and SAKI with AMAHIRU, it could happen... but for Hara-chan to leave NEMOPHILA for Lovebites, its not going to happen. Hara-chan is the co-founder of NEMOPHILA with Mayu and its unthinkable she would choose to be apart from Mama Tamu. Furthermore, based on RU-vid channel alone, NEMOPHILA formed in 2019 got double the subscriber counts than Lovebites that formed in 2016, 3 years before NEMOPHILA. Pure fantasy for Hara-chan to leave NEMOPHILA for Lovebites. For her to play in both bands, not impossible as Hazuki and SAKI also a member of 2 active bands.
But on second thought... based on Hara-chan's personality, I couldn't imagine she would agree to wear a set costume as required by Lovebites 🤔 ...nah, I don't think so. Hara-chan is wild 😅
