for you to know, Yoshiki suffering a nervous disease that causes loss of feeling in his left side so the side that touches almost completely numb and still is considered one of the best in the world, even praised by ozzy osbourne, if you could see X Japan concerts but really that is usually shown with a neck brace to use to prevent your disease from getting worse
he has tendinitis in his wrists. and yes he is one of the top drummers in the world and at one time one of the fastest, he use to hit 800 strokes a minute,
I know, Buster Keaton did a stunt in a movie dealing with a water tower next to a train track where the water gushing from the tower knocked him over to the ground & he didn't know until days later & several honking great headaches, that he'd broken his neck!! But, the thing I'm on about is that if you KNOW you've got a broken neck, WHY would not only go on stage to play a gig, ESPECIALLY if you're a drummer, but keep rolling your head around the entire time?? One false move & you're dead!!
Oh! Okay, sorry to hear that! I didn't know. But, just because John Osbourne praises him doesn't give him any Brownie points in my book. If someone, whose opinion I valued, praised him, I MIGHT reconsider, but, still from what've seen here, he's nothing to write home about.
No, sorry, someone with a broken neck just doesn't do this shit! I had a friend with a FRACTURED neck and she wouldn't even drive the car without a neck brace!!!!
Honestly, I'm not that impressed. If you play an instrument long enough, you SHOULD be able to play it blindfolded. I play my guitar with my eyes shut all the time, and I'm no guitar god. Don't get me wrong, he's a good drummer and all, but there's a TON more drummers out there that are way better if you ask me.
I started playing entire gigs blindfolded back in 1982. I never looked at my drums, anyway, so the blindfold never bothered me. This guy impresses you more than Peart??? I'm by NO means a Peart ass kisser, Bill Bruford's the best there is!! Tim Alexander's better than Peart!! But Peart can EASILY play this guy under the table!!!! Most drummers I've heard can play him under the table!! Try Clive Bunker during, "Dharma For One", at the Isle Of Wight festival in 1970!!
