I'm surprise no one is talking about the fact that the person that made the "Magneto was right" speech was a human, and a human from the united nations on top of that
it is an interesting point that this is when they admit he is right. Before now it was always a back and forth, where both sides were being aggressive to eachother. Here Magneto was entirely being good, complying with laws, was happy to be put on trial and all of that, and they still went for mutants. Oh to play by the rules and still they come for you
@@rogerwest6482 if she was Mystique it would undermine the speech, plus it would be a plothole seeing that Sentinels can identify her even when Shapeshifted.
This is why I can't stand people who support Magneto. Throughout all of comic book history "they" for Magneto is everyone not a mutant. That's why he is evil. Whether you held prejudice or didn't you're thrown into the same bucket with him.
@@T0X1C_Demon my guy are you watching y-men because why would magneto team up with the people that captured you and, make biological robots to attack other mutants
Yeah but the opposition will say he went overboard by killing a bunch of humans. Not knowing what they really were. This along with Xavier being revealed as alive destroys whatever trust the pitchfork mob had
Nope he just declared war. Funny thing is if war is declared you have options: surrender, negotiate or respond in kind. Magneto chose the 3rd option. Also forget the Prime Sentinels how many people did he kill with a world spanning EMP which shuts down technology, you know things like planes, cars, hospital equipment & NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS! Not to mention unleashing a monster like Omega Red. Nah sorry that wins him no points for his contribution to if not further escalation of the cycle of hatred
@@BigBWolf90 the retaliation was bigger, but let's analize what the retaliation of Pearl Harbor was. When attacked, you need to hit harder so the bullies think twice before messing with you. I'm with Magneto in this one, of course there were a lot of casualties but in any war there are, it's a sad reality. (BTW, what a fine writing this show has that makes us have these kind of conversations.)
Bro was really on his redemption arc for half the series too. He told them "I'm trying to be better. Do not make me let you down." And guess what? They did.
Magneto one of the very few that can maintain a level of dignity and respectability while prancing around in his underwear. Dr. Mcoy and Sub-mariner being the others.
This monologue is so cool. Take a minute to think about what Val actually says. She doesn't say, "The scariest part was that Magneto was right." She says, "The scariest part was _the thought that_ Magneto was right." She says it's "the only sane thought" that a mutant fleeing the Sentinels on Genosha could have. She's scared of how many people might now be thinking that thought. So really, she's frightened by knowing the event will radicalize mutants against humanity, and she's frightened by how she herself no longer believes they're wrong to think so badly of humans.
I had a similar thought. Except it was when bastion unleashed the sentinel primes and magneto goes to the North Pole and disables them in one hit. Omega level magneto in the building
It's frightening he had the end to human electronics in his back pocket as a last resort when sentinels took over too much of the globe. That means all of his actions, even his preparation for war, were the MERCIFUL route.
@@MynameisBrianZX yep, everything he did was stuff that could be targetted at those who attacked him and his people. This was his best card, but it would catch so many innocents in the crossfire. But now that every mutant, no matter who or what they are is being targetted, that collateral damage is acceptable
@@fmthebaron if Genosha showed us anything, it’s that humans would still be frantic about mutants gathered in one place with their own agency. Conflict was inevitable because humans spark it.
@Andy-su5wg yep because Humans are hostile towards them whether they do it as a united group of through apathy. In all honesty magneto could not be as radical as he is and shit would still hit the fan because of how messed up humans in marvel are.
@@scientistsupreme5211 Reminder that mutants literally enslaved all of humanity during the reign of Apocalypse. Dont play saint when no one is unjustified.
Finally, in a mainstream x-men show someone showed just how strong Magneto is. After all the jokes about how "just use a wooden gun and magneto can't do anything" or "just use wood against him, ha ha, it's magnets lol" they finally showed what this guy can actually DO. Dude. . . he doesn't just "do magnet stuff", he can tap into the earth's magnetic field. You know, the thing that protects us from the sun's radiation? He can literally just turn that "off" if he wanted.
I don't even think messing with the magnetosphere is even all that hard for him. And not really impressive. His best use of his power is when he stops the iron in ANYONE AND EVERYONE's blood stream and renders them unable to move or use their powers because they can't metabolize or do any biological functions.
@@kennyhudson9201A lot of people don't realize he can do that... Literally had the Xmen and X Factor dead to rights before if he wanted to actually kill them.
@@kennyhudson9201I mean Magneto is the master of magnetism and the entire universe depends on electromagnetism. Full power magneto wouldn’t ever be shown because tbh he could end pretty much any threat in an instant. Like light is electromagnetic radiation.
@@KaoticVibesand he knows the source material and the bigotry that the mutants face. I personally don't care about the OnlyFans situation; if Beau can turn out material like this..... he can have my viewership on the X-Men and I will tip his OnlyFans because his writing on the X-Men is amazing.
@seanwilliams7655 Marvel needs to rehire this guy. Don't know what he did to get fired but if it isn't anything too horrible, Marvel needs to rehire him and just give him a warning or something. This is the best depiction of the X-Universe on screen .
Yeah… the comics did a stupid thing having them be retconned as not his biological kids. However, at the very least the recent Trial of Magneto did reconnect them in terms of bond.
I think Magneto will be blamed for all those human sentinels "dying". They'll look at it as going overboard for what happened in Genosha. Plus with Xavier being revealed as alive. It's about to get thicker.
Bastian, the president and OZT declared war first when they slaughtered Genosha. Magneto is just accepting their terms. You don't to cry about casualties when you take the first lives.
@@Mysterio1412humans always take the first shot and then cry when their actions lead to them dying. It’s as simple as this: if you don’t hurt us, we don’t hurt you.
When a human admits Magneto was right, that means shit has really hit the fan! Magneto showed *tolerance* towards humanity and it led to the *extinction* of mutants in Genosha. That's why Magneto said "Enough!" as he now means war!
He lifted the UN council to the edge of space, and for all that he dressed it up, almost _pleaded_ with them to not push this. You cannot say humanity was not warned.
@@blackmanwithcomputer you're right! And the rest of humanity watches as said handful plots genocide. But hey! It was apathy, not malice. Does it matter to the dead? Well we aren't to answer that. If we live in apathy to atrocities, we must be consistent.

It occurred to me that Charles made the right choice with Magento to lead the X-Men he was trying for his friend to be better and was succeeding…Humanity failed him
No, they weren't. Bastion wanted to enslave them. Magneto also could've easily destroyed the facility, Sinister and Bastion...you know the people that attacked Genosha? Instead he left and decided to kill millions in a tantrum.
@@blackmanwithcomputer You weren't paying attention. The vast majority of mutants in Cable's timeline are dead, with the very FEW that survived being slaves, if his goal was to enslave them there'd be a lot more of them in the future than there are now. Further, destroying the sentinel facility would've done nothing, there were thousands if not tens of thousands of sentinels around the globe, literally even if he was still a "good guy" this was still about the best he could've done. Further, world governments conspired to do Genosha, as well as secretly turn their citizens into sentinel hybrids, it wasn't just a few individuals.
@@blackmanwithcomputer You're just making stuff up about the show. Bastion is uniquely immune to Magneto's powers (hence why he didn't go catatonic with the other Sentinels), Sinister isn't robotic, and Sentinels were actively slaughtering mutants every second during OZT. Also, you realize people don't just explode when they're hit by an EMP, right?
@@blackmanwithcomputer bro calls this a tantrum? Magneto was kidnapped by Bastian who mocked him about Genosha and constantly explained his plan to enslave and kill mutants. Which would've killed millions to. Uses random civilians for his Sentinel program which end up fighting the X-Men against their own will. Yet somehow every time i see people watch this show under these comments literally gloss over every little thing humanity does and finds someway to hate Magneto. I swear this is why I hate dealing with some of you fans in these X-MEN videos. Nevermind the fact that the show descriptively shows how freaking bad the humans are being.
@@Thed538dhskthe entire speech is a reference to how everytime a tragedy happens, like a school shooting, bombing, or even an ongoing genocide, people will care about it for a day before going on with their lives and acting like it never happened or won’t happen again.
The crazy part to me is like the post above says, it was always relevant but now we’re the adults and the relevance is staring us right in the face rather than being kids and simply being caught up on the spectacle of it all. I agree, it’s deep what they’ve always been doing with the message behind the X-Men but now jeez, yeah it hits deep especially with those of us who grew up with it the story and the relevance to our particular lives.
The sad thing is Magneto really doesnt want this. He truly tried to change. The guy trully just wants peace, but surviving the holocaust, ww2, mutant hunts, and so much more. You cant help but get sucked into "it's us against them" when the world lets you down again and again
So true .... makes me wonder Charles could off done alot more lol, like should got in the minds off the humans, see why they hated mutants so much and change it or help with it, or even getting ride off the hate lol For Charles Future to work lmao he might have too get a little dirty too get his dreams come true lol IF YA WANT A PEACEFUL FUTURE LOL
The saddest part about this is that after all the effort magneto put into being the man charles wanted him to be he is pushed into once again becoming the villain he swore never to become again, at times like this i think who is the real monster here, the villain or the society that constantly forces the villain to exist
Technically MasterMind declared this war sending the shape shifting nanobot called Nimrod to the past to make a nanobot mutant baby with a human woman. Bastion is that baby all grown up and working with villains to exterminate and enslave mutants
@@fbiuzzbut Gyrich declared war back in EP 1 of the first season with sentinels hunting down mutants and enslaving them. Also tests on wolverine occured before that
by definition that spiderman is the 90's spiderman that most of us grew up with since they done a crossover episode that time so this gives me hope for a reboot.
never been a "magneto was right" guy, but at this point I'm with him, he genuinely tried to do things the peaceful way, and they still killed so many mutants, at some point they have to fight back and not let themselves be constantly hurt
Can we just talk about Catherine Disher's voice acting? She is just simply incredible! While Jennifer Hale is doing an amazing job as Jean, I still wish Catherine Disher voiced Jean again.
A lot of people don't like Magneto because his actions end up with so many innocents dead, but they never seem to mention the innocents that died on his side, the aggressor must be forgiven and the victim must never fight back is what some think you fuck around, you find out, nobody to blame but themselves
I've noticed that in the comments of another video that Bastion was planning on Magneto escaping and declaring war on humanity but I disagree. Bastion's entire plan rests on his prime sentinel program and the fact that his body is technically that of a mutant, one who can control technology. Magneto's response (that is what this was, not an attack) just devastated every active piece of electronic equipment on earth that wasn't adequately shielded, which is probably over 80% of all tech. Hospitals, various military bases, transportation, communications, etc: all gone. Food can't be preserved or transported, materials can't be manufactured, and financial transactions can't be processed. The world's governments have no choice but to focus on restoring basic necessities and maintain/restore public order. They'll need to employ their remaining military assets (the ones not active when Magneto used his power) to do this with any sort of speed and efficiency. Bastion is now left to fight his war against mutantkind with just his prime sentinels, which at best have been severely reduced in numbers. All in all, Bastion's in a tight spot now.
While this is an epic scene that showcases what an Omega mutant can really do it’s kinda fringe horror when you think about it. How many cars lost control in traffic when their battery’s died? How much financial data was lost on the internet? How many medical care machines were shut off for critical patients? How many planes just fell out of the sky? Wolverines right. Magneto declared war.
I thought of that, too. I wonder if the show will actually acknowledge those deaths going forward. Although a lot of mutants were also killed on Genosha. And despite the claims of those 2 Sentinels who took Jubilee and Sunspot, I’m guessing a lot of the other Sentinels were using lethal force against mutants until Magneto’s wave shut them down.
Yup. That was probably Bastion´s plan all along. He knew Valerie Cooper would ended up releasing Magneto. This will only futher bastion´s goal. Cant wait for next weeks episode
Well, it's Magneto. And *THEY started it, not him. They (humans) always have started it..Mags just finally decided to do the ULTIMATE thing about it lol In FATAL ATTRACTIONS, Mags did a similar thing, cars, planes, pace makers etc, thousands of ppl died as a result - Xmen went to go fight him, got their a$$es handed to them (Wolverine suffered the most), Charles mind wipes him, *eventually leading to ONSLAUGHT! Maybe the show is going in that direction, sorta??
....WOW. What Cooper says actually mirrors the thoughts of everyone who watched this show when Genosha was brought into the picture. And that's honestly scary in of itself.
Here’s the thing with Val Cooper; she’s often either the problematic ally or the example of something that sounds progressive but is anything but. Heck, her comics debut was her saying mutants could be enslaved to help America overpower the USSR. I could see Val joining a group like Orchis because she thinks mutants were getting too big for their boots or dooming themselves to fail with island states like Genosha, Utopia and Krakoa. She does get it sometimes.
@@tylongkicks8821 She does sometimes. Worked with War Machine in ONE. Not her finest moment. Right now, she’s having the most Republican lovemaking with USAgent lol.
magneto regularly recruits juggernaut to the brotherhood whos just a human. It just proves he doesnt entirely hate humanity hes just sick of a lot of the assholes and injustice not just against mutants but against other humans in general(Magneto is a holocaust survivor fun fact) and if you are capable enough he is willing to fight with them if they support his cause enough.(juggernaut just wants to fight the x-men especially xavier.)
magneto tried. he really really tried. but the world wouldn't let him be good. they call him a monster. well he just showed the world how scary of a monster he can be.
@@Theking-y2z1b IRL, there was a solar flare that fucked up the Earth's magnetic field so hard the northern lights briefly moved to Nevada. OP is observing that it's funny that happened only one week after the episode that contained this scene.
Magneto is actually Omega level. His magnetism can rip Earth apart. He can even draw the other planets and moons to each other like magnets. Meaning he can quite literally drop the moon or an asteroid on your ass.
@@kennyhudson9201 Read Avengers Annual #10 when the Avengers had to just take on Rogue by her lonesome self. Btw the Big three (Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man) and Vision were on that particular roster. Check out what happen. That is just one X-man and that was one who had not yet even undergone X-men training yet. What is not talked about enough but should be obvious is only the most powerful mutants on the planet are allowed to be a part of the X-men. Now imagine if the full roster of X-men that was in episode 2 had been in Genosha at the time it was attacked, have mercy on the planet and the nations involved. I count at least four to five omega level mutants on the X-men roster who can easily cause planet wide destruction if they really wanted to.
I was kidding, just joking about the scene in Endgame when Tony gets mad that Thanos threw a moon at him. Magneto would wreck IRON Man. LOL. Metal Man versus Magneto doesn't sound fair. In the end it takes non mutants to beat Onslaught.
Magneto going full Omega in Speedos. Although he may have well united all of humanity against him (playing right into Bastion's hands), still a GOAT moment.
I can’t believe he actually did that. Seeing him manipulate the Earth’s magnetic field at a planetary-scale, he’s truly Omega-Level. If he chooses, he could’ve end all life on Earth. All the shows and movies with Magneto in them, he’s been holding back, but this time, he won’t be holding back.
And Omega level mutant doesn't have limits to his powers, witch means Magnetos powers don't have a limit of metal or eletromagnetism he can control at time, he could just throw another planet against humaninty if he wanted.
When you put it like that, it makes sense why Wolverine said "Magento finally declared war." He basically killed people to stop the sentinels. Thus, non-mutants will retaliate as a result of this.
Perhaps the most chilling thing about this, is that it isn't a Mutant saying it, it's a baseline human. She looked at what was happening, what she was helping to do until less than an hour ago and realised; it doesn't matter how much Mutants bend over backwards to show their good intentions, people like her will always exist. People who will present the mutants a simple choice, with no peaceful option: Fight or Die.
