I’m REALLY glad they really gave Madelyne’s story the respect and grief it deserved. None of this WAS her fault. Mr. Sinister pulled the absolute MOST evil thing he could do. It wasn’t her intention to steal from the real Jean, and she built part of that life herself. So to have it taken away, to have Scott and Nathan taken from her is heartbreaking. But the true Jean understands that, and she even offered her a permanent home amongst the X-Men, that was the respect she deserved in the comics. Would love to see her pop up again as a “sister” whether she’s been corrupted, or is there to provide support.
I didn't buy her wanting to leave so quickly, especially since she knows she could build a new life with Logan. She wanted to leave with Scott, not leave Scott and start a new life entirely like Storm tried to. She just loss her baby, it doesn't make sense for her leaving so soon.
Keep in mind a lot of casual audience hate Jane Grey because they can't stand the phoenix, then you have her clone finally make her debut outside of the comics in her own twisted view on what the power did to her and they love her
I personally think it’s because they JUST skip straight to the dark phoenix part and not everything else. What makes the whole phoenix force/saga interesting, for me atleast, is it starts out as a grand cosmic force/protector that attaches itself to Jean (a second personality) and is used to help stop an powerful force but since it was just a force, it never experienced human emotions and it becomes obsessed with it, then (with the aid of a secret society) it starts experiencing dark emotions/destructive behavior and becomes addicted to this ending with the dark pheonix stuff. That stuff is way more interesting but all they do is simplify it to “jean becomes evil” and this is from someone who just recently saw the X-men tv show/the actual storyline (I always assumed the pheonix force was an evil entity instead of a cosmic force that was never meant to have human emotions but gained them and becomes addicted to it) Also, let’s be real here, the goblin queen outfit is hot and they’re probably also obsessed with that
The problem with Jean is not when she is the Phoenix, it's when she's not. She's supposed to be all powerful mutant, but always screams and faints in the battles.
@@marcosnonato the movies had the opposite problem where the only trait about jean was just "oh no the phoenix" with constant visions etc and not much else as if that's the only thing we care about and the dark phoenix movie does a terrible job at this where they keep saying she is out of character because of the phoenix even though we have no idea what's in-character of her
@@thunderbear9418bruh what are you smoking, since when is Jean a Mary Sue, I swear y’all just throw this word around any time you see a woman in anything that has any bit of power. It’s insufferable🙄
@@cloberlobster2276 No shame, it's great fun with a good dom, guys shouldn't let egos get in the way of a good time and besides, roles can always be reversed whenever.
An episode ago and a literal day ago. Nathan was born at the same day Storm lost her powers, and Storm leaves at same night. The next day they are reading storm's letter and the real Jean shows up.
Jennifer hale was channeling sedusa in this episode for sure because I was wondering why she sounded so familiar and then I realized she was using her sedusa voice from powerpuff girls. 🤣
Im not aroused, IM NOT AROUSED, 0:45 WHY DID SHE SAY MOMMY LIKE THAT?! 1:04 WHY THEY DREW HER LIKE THAT 1:18 AHHHHHHHH 1:24 AHHHHHHHHHHHH 2:00 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO- 0:20 (((MONKEEEEE NOISSEEEEESSSS))) 0:57 DOMMY MOMMY!!!!
It escalated too quickly, as soon as beast told them she is a clone, scott acted like she didn't matter anymore after spending years and creating a baby with her! So what if she's a clone?! 😐
In his defense considering everything happening from ep 1 to now probably wasn't helping and since goblin queen was a dam near perfect clone of jean with all her memories in his mind finding out who she really is he probably feeling some part of his life was a lie i do agree pacing little off they prob could had made this 2 episodes
I mean the clone ended up going evil so even if he stayed by her side things would’ve still escalated with the mind control/brain washing. And then afterwards it would’ve been weird because it’s not as if she is Jean’s biological twin from birth that he fell for, plus she wanted to leave at every turn basically which is something he doesn’t really want to do and I think subconsciously he would be comparing her to Jean. He fell for the clone because she was behaving as Jean. The clone doesn’t really have her own personality outside of Jean and that’s something she can somewhat discover while away from the mansion. It’s just a horrible situation that I think he deserves more slack for because he was also a victim in all of this, granted not to the level of the clone and Jean or Nathan, and there’s no therapist that could really help him unpack all of what happened including his fear of abandoning his child came to fruition even though it wasn’t really abandoning but saving Nathan.
she is actually weaker than Jean, its just that Jean does not abuse her powers and acts with moral...Jean always restraints the use of her powers this is why Emma frost was eventually added in the team. Emma is a beast and holds no bars
Agreed, it was definitely rushed as hell (no pun intended). They used Sinister's brainwashing as a plot device for her to immediately turn evil instead
Remeber back in the day when the trend of animated thick, dark lipped sticked, goth girls put an entire generation in a choke hold? Thats what X-men 97 brought back when they made this episode
Yeah it makes no sense. Did Feige and Woke corps examine the animators when they made Rogue and when they weren’t looking the animators made Goblin Queen? 😂
Okay, so let me get this straight: Marvel removes some of the «good bits» from Rogue’s charachter in this reboot, but are willing to make Jean as the goblin queen super thick?
