I feel like the new look being conjured like that kinda implies that Storm had a mystical awakening which then rejuvenated her x-gene. She comes from a long of African sorcerers, now she has BOTH mystic and mutant power. She's gonna be even more powerful now.

Charles's lesson is something we all desperately still need. Not only about colonization, but just in general: life is not a competition. Other people don't have to be inferior in order for you to be good enough, and conversely, other people being better than you at something doesn't mean you are worthless. The saying is "a rising tide raises *all* ships", not "a rising tide raises whichever ships sail the fastest". Coexistence, truly helping each other for no reason other than a morality founded upon empathy, is how we will all survive. If we continue to compete at every turn, continue to step on others to reach greater heights, then soon there will be no more steps left, and we will all fall into oblivion.

This Episode was so Good and I Loved it how Storm Got her Powers Back and Possibly Got an Upgrade an Evolution a Second Form That Comes with the Change, It Seems like her Power Level went Up Quite a Bit.

Forge's machine worked!!!!! It was Storm keeping her power from coming back. The mind effected the body! And also the Adversary feeding her more doubt to feed off her misery. And Forge is Native-American and I think his mother was a Shaman, hence the book of magic. I think he's also magically inclined to an extent due to his lineage allowing him to see The Adversary haunting Storm and feeding off her misery, preventing her from rejuvenating her x-gene. I feel like she unlocked her mystical ancestry in the process, hence the transformation.

Forge doesn’t just uses his abilities to invent any machine he wants but he also has magical abilities as well. Another thing he has in common with Storm, speaking of Storm… I’m so happy that she got her powers back. Not only that, but she also got her original black costume too and it looks fantastic. I was totally caught off guard by that since I’ve never seen that costume in animation before. Deathbird had no chill in this episode lol.

I can't believe they got rid of Ororo's mohawk so soon, but her magically Sailor Storm growing out her hair & then manifesting her iconic tiara shows that she's claiming her supernatural heritage. They even showed Forge's shamanic power (I mean I thought they'd just keep it simple in the cartoon & have him remain the science guy). Literally a shamanic journey for both (& with Xavier as well), with Forge letting go of logical Western "science" to rely on the age-old wisdom of his mother & use faith to help his friend, Ororo accepting her past (her original 70s outfit), defeating her demons ("What are demons but reflections of our fears & shame") to let her move towards the future. Screamed & hollered when Ororo got rehabilitated. She was NEVER depicted as THIS Goddess & THAT badass punk b*tch with the strongest will amongst all the mutants in any type of media apart from the source material (deplorably NEVER in the films, nor to this extent in the old cartoon). I swear most of the writers in LA nowadays have GONE THROUGH SHAMANIC HEALING SESSIONS & this shows in all of the best writing LOL.

This is an absolute metaphor for American Imperialism, the ways in which our country expanded and what we did to "lesser countries" in the name of capitalistic interest under the guise of spreading our version of "democracy." Yeah, the writers were firing on all cylinders with this one. And the way Charles was given this lecture toward the end was for sure akin to a Carl Sagan lecture when he ended with, "says who, who made up these silly rules," is where I realized it, @17:05. Carl Sagan's words echoed through Charles Xavier was everything I needed and didn't think I would ever get. Pure genius!

However The Watchers minor appearance implies that this is not separate from the Multiverse. So you’re right and wrong at the same time. In the beginning of 97 series assumed that it would be a lot of individual episodes that wouldn’t have nothing to do with the next, but now I see it’s one big movie that’s chopped up in episodes. This episode is about to start a firestorm of shit show proportions! What happens when Professor X comes home? Up to this point; the whole Mutant Tolerance and peace talks had been because everyone thinks he's dead. Magneto joining the X-Men and playing the part of the good guy had been because he believes Charles is dead. So what happens when the truth comes out? What happens when the UN and Magus learn they've been played the folks? That's how everyone's going to feel, and it will only give fuel to the Mutant haters more than they do already. Mutants lie, they can't be trusted, stuff like that. This is bad

I only wish they made forge and storm’s relationship more natural I was hoping they had some kind of backstory in the old series. But for this to be their first time meeting and us not knowing how long they were together we never see their relationship move from friends to knowing they like each other.

@@thenomad4123 Okay, I see where the confusion comes from. That is NOT Mar-Vell. In this Universe's continuity, Carol Danvers is already a thing (like it was a whole storyline in the original show, that resulted in Carol becoming Ms Marvel and then Rogue getting her flying and super-strenght powers). Mar-Vell was mentioned multiple times in that storyline as well, as already being the Captain and protector of Kree (if I remember right, he even appears briefly as a hologram message, already in his Captain outfit). That color scheme wasn't exclusive to Mar-Vell - it was just suppose to match the other Kree Uniforms. The guy we see here is just wearing his own - he's just another Pilot - that's all there is to it... I rewatched the entire Show before '97 came out, specifically to avoid confusions like this one.

But IIRC and as you said Ms. Marvel took her powers unrelated to Mar-Vell, and if he is mentioned as Captain of Kree that guy still can be him. However you are probably right that his costume isn't likely original but standart uniform, so maybe that isn't him.

GLORIOUS!!!!! Totally different pacing than last wk's episode but utterly satisfying chapter as well. I can't believe they got rid of Ororo's mohawk so soon, but her magically Sailor Storm growing out her hair & then manifesting her iconic tiara shows that she's claiming her supernatural heritage. They even showed Forge's shamanic power (I mean I thought they'd just keep it simple in the cartoon & have him remain the science guy). Literally a shamanic journey for both (& with Xavier as well), with Forge letting go of logical Western "science" to rely on the age-old wisdom of his mother & use faith to help his friend, Ororo accepting her past (her original 70s outfit), defeating her demons ("What are demons but reflections of our fears & shame") to let her move towards the future. Screamed & hollered when Ororo got rehabilitated. She was NEVER depicted as THIS Goddess & THAT badass punk b*tch with the strongest will amongst all the mutants in any type of media apart from the source material (deplorably NEVER in the films, nor to this extent in the old cartoon). I swear most of the writers in LA nowadays have GONE THROUGH SHAMANIC HEALING SESSIONS & this shows in all of the best writing LOL.
