Oh watching this before x1-3 was a choice 😭 the movie holds so much emotional weight when you watch those ones first but too late.

Did you know that this movie was based off the episodes from X-Men 92 "Days of Future Past parts 1-3" and takes some elements from that movie.

There is no clear chronological order in this franchise, some movies changed the time line, this is why release order is the proper order, specially after this movie changes the end of last stand and every one is back.

Loved your reaction as usual Val. I think my favorite part is when Logan as Charles to find the young X-Men and help guide them because Logan of all the X-Men is one of the most broken. He knows he needs Charles. He needed a father figure. He is a tortured soul who was soldier and abused and only seen as a weapon, but Charles made him feel like a man....and for Charles to make him History professor is awesome as Wolverine has lived so many lifetimes :) Logan has a good heart even being tortured and used. Honestly off all the X-Men the Logan movie is 5 Stars a 10/10. It is top notch when you get chance to watch. You will get more on Logan and Charles. I agree with your assessment 3.8.

Not sure if you saw it yet, but there is a post credit scene that features a young version of another X-Men big bad. Hope you enjoy it!:)

The x man movies are completely 🗑️. Hate the fact that wolverine is always the main character just because the actor is “hot”. It’s so stupid to me.

It only makes sense to watch the Rogue cut version. Who advised you to watch an incomplete movie?

Valery you need to see the Rogue Cut of this movie! When this was being released, Anna Paquin was marketed but then she was cut at the last minute for time. So many of us were so mad cuz we love Rogue. The original version is still really good, but if you see the version that included Rogue, it just adds so much to the characters. They released it on DVD a year or so later. Idk if it’s worth a reaction video but it def change some things up with the story if you watch it on your own.

If you try reviewing the movies in chronological order, you are in for a headache, as the series has several branching timelines and watching later movies will spoil events from earlier films. To that point, if you are doing them in chronological order, the original timeline would have you watching X-Men Origins: Wolverine (1979), while the newer timeline would have you watching X-Men Apocalypse (mid-80s) next. But with some set in the past, some in the present, some set in the future, none of it will make sense in the end as the movies are going to be all over the place.

I can't believe how much people still trash the Fox X-Men movies, especially when they're as great as X-Men Days of Future Past. This is objectively the smartest, most powerful and timeless superhero movie ever crafted.

I never watched First Class so maybe some things from that timeline were lost to me, I remember this as a younger person, like a 3.5 I'd say. I think I watched it when I was 20 on a plane ride to Arizona

I like this movie. It's probably in second place, just after First Class, if I were to rank the different X-Men movies. I'm not a huge fan of time travel in superhero movies/comics (even if I like it in general) since it's usually an easy cop-out after you've done something drastic in the main timeline that needs fixing. But I think this movie does a great job balancing the two timelines without the resolution feeling cheap. The unfortunate problem with seeing the movies out of order (even if it's technically in chronological order) is that this movie is the final sendoff for the original crew - that you haven't really met yet. There are some heavy spoilers for the earlier movies in this one. Hopefully you'll still get enjoyment out of the later (or earlier?) movies. It might be worth coming back to this movie after you've seen them just to be reminded where they end up. But just to be clear, none of this is a knock against your decision to view the movies in this order. I understand why you'd do so. It just has its dangers.
