Chris Flores alright man so in the end when everyone is alive is because the current timeline was changed. Mystique didn't kill Bolivar Trask in the original timeline which lead to the Sentinel program being cancelled therefore none of this technically ever happened. In the end it's an entirely different timeline where everyone is alive .

If you are going to have a super hero movie or something involving fantasy, its a good idea to use the fantastic elements of the story to give your protagonists a villain who contends with them or even defeats them.

Days of future past is one of my all time favorite movies. Such a satisfying narrative flow and for a long movie flys by super fast.

Yesss. This opening scene was a game changer for the franchise. Everyone was losing left and right but the KEPT FIGHTING. I get chills just thinking about their bravery, conflicting with despair and desperation. They were fighting for the greater good and knew they were going to probably have to sacrifice themselves and last as long as they could for the goal. Man, such a good movie! One of the few that made me feel like a kid again in the theater. Being taken on along journey and not knowing what's going to happen

My knowledge is based on the Comics. And there he evolves from an Alpha Level Mutant to an Omega Level Mutant. In the Age of Apocalypse Comics you can see a good Portion of what he can achieve

What can he do exactly?

Iceman is a mutant with the superhuman ability to lower his external and internal body temperature, projecting intense coldness from his body. Like any normal human being's, the nerve centers for regulating Iceman's body temperature are found in the part of the brain called the hypothalamus. However, Iceman can mentally override his hypothalamus to allow his body temperature to be lowered by an unknown internal mechanism. This ability converts the latent thermal energies in and around his body into an unknown form of energy that is efficiently dissipated. A related mutation has rendered his body tissues unaffected by sub-zero temperatures. Iceman's power to generate cold is so great, he was able to stop a massive nuclear explosion. In the past, Iceman has formed ice-ladders, ice-slides, ice-shields, ice-domes, ice-bolts, ice-blasts, ice-beams and other constructs of ice. Iceman has created constructs of ice so powerful that he was able to easily encase and contain the likes of the Hulk with him being unable to break out of it for quite some time. On at least one occasion, he has even been shown to make it snow or cause a blizzard. He can also Unfreeze matter. Iceman is able to form a rising column of ice beneath his feet, capable of lifting him off the ground. Iceman although has shown that he is not limited to creating constructs and can fly on his own with his control over moisture, or by levitating the ice on his own body. Iceman's control of his powers are so vast that it extends to the molecular level, to the point that he can freeze all of the molecules of an object/being with a thought, as well as unfreeze it. An example would be freezing the blood in the veins, thereby stopping flow to the brain. He has demonstrated the ability to control chemical reactions on the molecular level, at one point preventing Sunfire from accessing his powers. Ability to not only cover his body with ice, but to actually become organic ice. Though the appearance is similar, Iceman is now actually translucent in his ice form. Iceman is virtually indestructible in this form, allowing him to reform his body should it become shattered. He has been incinerated while in human form and was able to rebuild himself. In his ice form, he is able to use the moisture in the air to form spikes, shields and attach other extra appendages to his body. It is currently unknown if Bobby would be considered immortal. Due to the amount of water on Earth, Iceman has a virtually unlimited supply of moisture since it is always present in the surrounding air or environment. Even desert air has sufficient moisture content for him to make temporary practical use of; however, the mental effort needed to employ his mutant power under these circumstances could eventually fatigue him and render his freezing ability temporarily dysfunctional. Iceman can manipulate water at molecular level, he can use surrounding moisture to augment himself, allowing him to travel within large bodies of water very quickly. He accomplishes this by breaking himself down to his base levels and reforming at the destination. He is able to convert his body to gigantic proportions as well, through absorption of a body of water or water vapor in the air. One side effect of this is he gains superhuman strength to match his superhuman size. Wherever there is any moisture, Iceman is a threat. Iceman has demonstrated the ability to be transformed into nothing more than water or water vapor, yet remain conscious and retain the use of his powers. Anthony Craft with how easily he cut her claws, its safe to say that adamantium isnt something wasily copied despite the powers. I saw the diamond like form amd it seemed like it was to resist fire based attacks. Emma has been dead long before this model of sentinels came to be and mystique being captured. So i think they can just turn into whatever substance that can make them more defensive. Cause besides that laser beams and turning there bodies to weapons/ elements, what powers did they really show? No fire blasts or ice. They just used he element to get closer to them and then try to break their necks. So sentinels cant actually use powers in that way like people think they can. I mean look at logan. Hes strictly close combat based BUT hes still alive. So its safe to assume that they cant mimic burning adamantium ( probably the only thing that can easily cut other adamantium) or defeat his healing factor I mean if phoenix cant kill him with disintergration probably spelled that wrong, then what can they do?

Did you read my sentence? He can rebuild himself if his entire body is shattered. So decapitation does not count. His regenerative powers functions like that of Sandman and T-1000 or the latest Terminator in Genisys or any fictional character that has Deadpool levels of regeneration. He's indestructible as long as there is moisture to sustain his ice form. You should also know Bobby can transform into water vapor. Meaning no head or limbs, just water vapor.

So far in the X-cinematic universe, the only seems-like omega mutants are Phoenix and Apocalypse. I'd prefer it that way, if we just have bunch of overpowered mutants like in the comic then it wouldn't be fun to watch anymore.

A very one sided fight. Considering the Sentinels have absorbed/copied other mutants' powers, they would no doubt have the ability to shutdown regenerative powers, so they'd just pull him apart like they did to colossus and burn the remains into nothing.

His ice isn’t exactly ice that you pour in your drink, he’s an Omega-Level Mutant- which means his ice may be stronger than metal and can withstand temperatures as hot as the surface of the sun

If I remember correctly, in Marvel Comic Books, his body is just covered in an icy layer, and not made of ice.

He's able to regenerate in his ice form. If he shatters, he'll just come back together.

@@generationx5338 that was how it was originally, as I recall - as Bobby developed his abilities, he learned how to transform himself into a figure of organic ice. In this form, he is almost indestructible, and can indeed reform if shattered or broken somehow. Even while in human form, he has demonstrated the ability to regenerate his physical form even if it had been totally destroyed.

He can control Technology. The worst of humanity would end up handing this guy an unstoppable army. And given how much they were advancing it was only a matter of time before a Sentinel Patrol found Apocalypse and awakened him before he took control of them.

He can but it takes time before the power mimicry kicks in...So he will need to take them out before it's too late, for someone who has Mass manipulation and Telekinesis is just too dangerous.

This sentinels have high resistence to pure energy of brutal force but they are not inmortals. Apocalypse have the power to desintegrate them and control at molecular level. So their resistance, survavility and adapts-powers will be useless against Apocalypse. But maybe if they outnumbered him and take him by surprise he will die.

I've been wondering that myself. After watching the scenes with the sentinels many times, it's made me realise that they do have a weakness. Whilst they're able to adapt to mutant powers, the only thing they can't adapt to is technology. So say someone was able to gain access to sentinel technology or better the sentinel's software, then someone may be able to develop technology or weapons that can counteract the sentinels adaptive capability, scramble their detection systems or program them to whatever the hacker wanted like destroy other sentinels or themselves.

Well there not completely indestructible. Bishops shot with his gun does visible damage to one Sentinel. And Blink's portal makes one lose an arm. The problem is they can take a massive amount of punishment before being taken down, and they can adapt to the powers being used against them to negate the effects. So not impossible to kill, but extremely difficult.

Jean Grey as the Phoenix would've destroyed them. Too bad she was dead.

@@benjaminaldismo6832 this is where the movie version of Days of Future Past begins to diverge from the comic - in the comic, it was Rachel Summers who sent Kitty's mind back through time to prevent the triggering event (Destiny assassinating Senator Kelly). Obviously, as the movie does not occur within the comic continuity (not on Earth-616 in the Marvel universe, in other words) then the exact events don't matter; as long as the basic premise remains intact (send a mutant back in time to prevent the existence of a dystopian future by stopping some event from occurring) then it follows the Days of Future Past formula.
