It's not actually McFassy/Fassavoy fanart though, what they showed was strictly Cherik fanart, as in Charles Xavier/Erik Lehnsherr. I ship Cherik and I draw comics and fanart sometimes, and I also read Cherik fanfiction, but I don't ship McFassy/Fassavoy, RPF is creepy.

please those people are often fat gurgling drooling creeps and perverts, they won't get published and if they ever are published their stories are never heard of and often end up in the fantasy section and a few pervy fantasy geeks who love the thought of turning into a talking animal or whatever buy those books. Somehow I doubt you know what makes a good book, or what makes anything good for that matter.

There's plenty of good fics out there that make adjustments to the original work (e.g. timetravel fics, fixing hates about the work, crossovers etc.) in a way that changes the story and makes for an interesting read while maintaining your favourite characters and their personalities. I won't deny that a lot of them feature ships but that's no excuse for you to call fanfic writers perverts or drooling creeps (and anyway wtf do you call explicit sex scenes in films then? That's a fictional couple written and acted out for audiences who will enjoy it. It's the same thing only using characters/settings used before). Yes, the real life ships are creepy if you read that stuff (especially explicit stuff) seriously. Mostly, real life fanfic ships are written as jokes. Some fic writers really are good enough to get published if they changed the characters and settings and used their own content. I have no idea why a fanfic writer would publish their fanfics.

I'm a fanfiction writer, my friend is one, I know a lot of them. Can you imagine that even the 'most normal' person you know could be a fanfiction writer? I personally know people who write fanfictions including romantic (and maybe more) interactions between characters, and they’re all very nice people. They’re not different from you, me or 'a normal writer'. Secondly, not every fanfiction is about a ship doing romantic or intimate stuff! There’s much more to it than that. I don’t really know any fanfiction that got published, but there are some people who write stories on platforms where someone else might post a fanfiction. Some of those authors decide to get their books published, but that’s not automatically a fanfiction that’s getting published, you know? I’ve seen some of those books in bookstores. You’re just insulting things you may don’t seem to understand and that’s really sad. No matter what kind of experiences you might have made, that’s the wrong way to deal with it.

There's fan coupling like this for all popular shows with attractive men (often in erotic cartoons, some of them quite graphic, called yaoi or some similar categories). Eg. Dragon Ball.
