I hope in X-Men 97, Jean can move a coffee cup without collapsing. The original painted her to be ridiculously weak. I also hope they don't give us another dose of the ULTRA-BORING, incredibly long-winded Phoenix Saga. That sh!t was a cure for insomnia and seemed like it lasted 32 episodes!

I'm guessing that in choosing a main roster they could only have so many characters. most of them were members of the blue team the other few gold team. suppose it was better that they had other key characters appear as guests than not appear at all.

Makes sense in a evolutionary sense too! Selfish gene theory -- mutant X genes want to survive and proliferate in a population. Why harm/kill another individual with a copy of the genes that are closely related to yours? Just be diluting the number of copies of your genes in the pool...
@@hmrhuang Same thing happened with Black Tom and Banshee in one episode where they mention "Your powers could never hurt me little brother." "Nor could yours hurt me big brother." Its a lore of the X-Men universe that very briefly ever got mentioned in the show. Only twice.
Beast's reaction to Wolfsbane is why I have always loved this version of Beast. This show had the best versions of Beast, Cyclops, Gambit, Wolverine, Rogue, Jubilee, Magneto and Professor X.
I love what they did with Storm. In the comics, she doesn't say anything when using her powers but in the animation it's like she is commanding mother nature to do what she says
The Game Master 2035 None of those were as successful period, I believe mostly due to poor writing and slightly worse animation. This series made Marvel a TON of money, which is why they had to sell off X-Men when they went bankrupt because it was their biggest commodity

THE BRANDINO Same. Same. Same. That sound and her powers will always stick with me. Her powers are usually not what her opponents expect, and she usually gets the drop on some of the most powerful villains...like Juggernaut.
To lazy? This is Jim Lee like style of art, it is used in Spiderman TAS and Savage Dragon. Too many details and lines to animate, thats why they went on cheapo simplistic artstyles throughout the years?
Technically there is an episode where they reveal what happened with Cyke's dad and brother they just never outright say his brother is Havok....which is stupid cause how tf don't they recognize each other
Love this clip! Iceman could've overtaken all of them, if only he discovered the full extent of his omega-level power. He still has some nice scenes, though.
Peter David is the best comic book writer short of maybe Chris Claremont. But this team misses Strong Guy’s sense of humor (he’d call Wolverine “cupcake”), Rhane would of apologized after hitting Beast, and Alex / Cyclops would of blasted their shirts off like in Xtinction Agenda
I didn't realize this version/roster of X-Factor has been around for so long. It's a helluva thing to learn they were formed in 1991. I like to think I've been a mostly faithful fan of the various X-Men titles since the late '70s, but man, this X-Factor team really slipped under my radar. I only knew the original X-Factor team (which of course was the original X-Men team reunited after the discovery of Jean Grey in stasis).

Yautja Xenomorph Keep in mind that Scott and Alex haven't seen each other since they were kids. Alex was adopted from the orphanage while Scott stayed. But Sinister still kept tabs on both Summers brothers. Scott and Alex didn't gain their powers till their parents were kidnapped by the shi'ar empire as well.

I like how Quicksilver could've ended the whole fight if it wasn't for the limited understanding, imagination, and or (willful) ignorance of actual velocity and the factors involved that the writers possessed.
He also wasn't that fast when he started out. When Quicksilver first appeared he was about as fast as a hot rod. Maybe 200 mph max. Even at this point I think he could barely break the sound barrier.
This is my favorite episode. I found it really funny when jubilee was screaming when she was in quicksilver wind tunnel and I loved the line when multiple man said "no more like a bakers dozen" such a good episode
At least the series acknowledged it. If their powers hurt each other I would have been pissed..like how the Xmen last stand made it so Juggernaut and Charles were not step brother. I mean how much more interesting would that have made the movie?
@@ItzMeWill Well...Deadpool 2 movie retconned that. Jug told that annoying boy when they escaped together that he wears his helmet to protect him from his brother who reads minds.
@@bhlakbatosai as far as im concerned, the only real xmen movies were the Deadpool movies and Logan.. All the characters from the other Xmen films were not represented right. If the characters don't have the right personality than they are not my Xmen
I hear there's an X-Force movie in the works, but it seems difficult given what happened in Deadpool 2. (Though if they want anyone who died to be used again, they can just say that Deadpool also saved them when he had Cable's time device.) But I've always wanted them to do that; give those splinter teams their own movie series. We are close to the New Mutants, though!

depends on which version of beast to be honest beast sometimes doesnt contribute to fights when the xmen has omega level mutants like fenix and iceman in the fight
That was a cute touch with Cyclops and Havok just "miraculously" not being to blast each other with their powers, they just put that in so casually (lol) After the entire Shi'ar ark with Corsair, as well as Cable's antics, it's incredible how RIDICULOUSLY the producers trolled EVERY ONE OF US who have comic book knowledge on this show, by putting Cyclops JUST out of reach of finding out about not only his long-lost brother, but also his long-lost FATHER, and even his future (long-lost?) son, WITHOUT even knowing/revealing it on the SHOW! =O lmao Seriously, the SHEER extent of trolling on this show by producers was just SUPERIOR level to those of us who read the comics(!) =O lol Only JEAN found out about Cable the first time they met in this cartoon series, but then she ALSO kept it a SECRET from EVERYONE in the cartoon ... ! I couldn't help but notice that Jean was PREGNANT in X-Men '97 ... I wonder if the events in the episode where she and Cable "first"(?) duriong his FIRST appearance on this show met will be a part of the new plot ... !
That X-Factor line-up was created to fight evil mutants like Mr. Sinister's "Nasty Boys", "Freedom Force" which were really Magneto's "Brotherhood of Evil Mutants", etc. Magneto was often labeled as a Mutant Terrorist waging war on humans! The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants were Mystique, Quicksilver, Pyro, Blob, Avalanche, Toad, Destiny, and sometimes Rogue! They were funded by a secret government project to prove mutants were not all evil, by fighting Senator Kelly and his anti-mutant allies!
Perhaps if he is a Zombie however Wolverine as long he is with the X Men and Charles Xavier school he is forbidden to kill as it will come with bad reputations.
Cable fought with Cyclops and Jean along with the others when he was trying to kill Bishop and they got in the way.....he doesn't know his origin in this show they could have easily fought.....Cable was also created to be sort of an opposite to Xavier in fact his original code name was going to be commander X.....his outlook is much more aggressive and militant at the same time he doesn't strive for mutant supremacy like magneto.
If you're an X-Men fan the only thing you get in 2018 is half assed movies :( It's really draining to me to be an X-Men fan :( I miss the 90s where we had cartoons, and video games.
Basically, there's this Marvel exec named Ike Perlmutter who wants to pretend the X-Men never existed just because he's salty over Fox having the film rights instead of Marvel. It's very deliberate (but there's hope that now that Marvel and Fox are both under the Disney umbrella, there'll be no more need for such pettiness and the X-Men and FF can return to their proper prominence.)
