The claws aren't always CGI in the films, only in some scenes. X-Men Origins:Wolverine used mainly CGI but we will not speak of that film.

Hugh Jackman wears the claws. The CGI were only used for impaling and extracting the claws out of his hand.

David Mackinnon Although the glowing sun on the hilt will be impossible to replicate. Perhaps he should just stick to making a brass orb and polish it until it looks like gold and reflects light.

This is great! The only thing I wish is that you made them splay out a little instead of all being perfectly parallel to each other. His claws kind of spread out just like your fingers when you hold your hand wide open. The quality of these look amazing though!

I actually have a set of these plus I made some a long time ago but they were the kind like the comics where they come out of the back of your hand. They didn't retract but they were cool. My friend wanted them so I gave them to him and he ended up giving them away, I was pretty mad about that.

Actually in the first 2 xmen movies they were almost completely practical effects! Including the bar scene was completely practical using an animatronic arm and a clever camera angle

i think a system of hold and release spring. like in butterfly knives....and the part where it glides made out of lime stone only a thin layer of lime so it sharpens every time it comes and goes in and out.....also cleans. well occupied and tied or not so tied but a lock in place sysyem that it wont slide out so easily but comforable with army knuckles on each glove to the elbow extend. looking at wolverines costume.....might just make sense. wow guys ! i think the world is impressed at your skills. no doubt . you guys are skilled.
