1000 ft. is about when I do my turns to start to intercept GPS course from takeoff climbout, nobody told me anything about this, it just seemed like common sense on most takeoffs, given elevations or obstructions near the airport airspace. This plane looks marvelous, I am buying it asap.

Fuel pumps are not used for start. They are used during take off and landing.

It's odd, I did an Oostende-Innsbruck flight today doing RNAV to Runway 8, and it worked the entire way except the final right to left turn down the valley to line up, then it stopped following the GPS line, I had to take manual control and steer the SF50 back to the line, and then line up, and land it manually, which was fine. I was wondering why the GPS started to not follow the RNAV and I think at Innsbruck it's designed to only bring you to the final few miles and you're supposed to hand-fly it the rest of the way down. At least, I think so. Otherwise it was a surprisingly easy approach using the RNAV profile. I think those G1000 altitudes in the fix profiles are the alts. you're supposed to be at as you hit each fix, and/or the AP should hit those marks as you hit each fix. I don't think you're supposed to change em! Hit em! Hit those alts. for the FAF and IAF etc., and you should have a perfect RNAV landing going with GS and all that. I think it'll still work if you are off a bit, but don't quote me. I usually just activate my approach and then let the AP bring me in to IAF and make sure I'm manually at the proper altitude for the IAF, then hit APR button (that's if it matters or not, I think it does) as I'm turning to IAF, then let it bring me down and the LPV indicator and GS indicator comes alive.

Hi! Nice video. About VNAV You haven’t done anything wrong! You activated properly VNAV. VPTH was armed (white) before crossing the vertical profile but, for some reason, the aircraft didn't capture the descent profile. That happens sometimes and I don’t know why. In that case use VS as soon as possible, selecting a rate of descent higher than indicated by the black bug, in order to intercept the vertical path quickly. When intercepting, VPATH will be captured without doing anything. After a lot of flights I found that the best moment to activate VNAV mode is just before crossing the vertical profile and normally it captures VPATH without problems. This is just my personal experience. About the altitudes you couldn’t change. The small white altitudes at FAF and after cannot be selected, so it cannot be changed.

Yeah it's a tricky little thing, if you activate VPTH (VNV button) more than 5 minutes before TOD, it wont take you down. True of the IRL system too apparently. Guess it's a safety feature? Also always remember to reset your requested altitude (light blue) to a value lower than or equal to the one you are going to descend to. Those are the two things that tripped me up anyways.

I think all you do is hit APR at the IAF, and the RNAV just engages. I read the entire G1000 manual for XPlane and still can't figure out if you have to hit APR at all, or not, given this isn't an ILS approach. Anyway, you shouldn't have to hit the VNAV button, I don't think. Usually the approach just activates and hit APR and it just simply works. I've also seen it NOT work at the IAF, for some reason, and then I had to do the go-around procedure and re-activate the RNAV approach, and then it worked fine the second time. If those VNAV "arrows" don't show up as you approach the IAF, on the altimeter left side, and the purple GS "button" doesn't start showing as G at top of altimeter, then that RNAV approach is definitively NOT working right. Oh, and the LPV indicator should show up at bottom of the PFD. When the RNAV works flawlessly, it's better than sex! (????)

Yup you gotta hit APR to get active glide slope guidance from RNAV afaik. VNV button is only used to arm VPTH for your user defined glide slopes. Note that you can arm APR while you are still in VPTH, there is no conflict. RNAV just waits its turn and takes over after it intercepts slope at IAF. Set up properly, the G1000 can allow a smooth hands off flight from shortly after take-off to right before touch-down.

Xplane from steam is the same as if you downloaded from someplace else. All aircraft will work.
