@@Crow_Rising Aile's transformation is only 15 seconds longer than Vent's. And to be fair both are far shorter than other transformations in say Kamen Rider or even in Devil May Cry series.

@@barrybend7189 I actually own the Zero/ZX Collection on Steam, which has all the raw video files within it's system directory. Vent's Transformation scene in ZXA is 1 minute and 1 second long. Aile's scene is 1 minute and 34 seconds long, 33 seconds longer than Vent's, a little over 1.5 times the length of Vent's scene. I was never trying to make the argument that Aile's scene is the longest transformation scene of any game. I was joking about how long it feels to wait through compared to Vent's scene.

@@Phoenix_Blader_93 I meann mega man power ups always were in most cases, situationals (with exceptions like the metal blade), same happens with pseudoroid, they obviusly weren't created to be able to beat a whole stage with only said transformation like the biometals, and that's not necessarily a bad thing

I did a lot of that when I first started playing back when it first came out on DS, but now I've beaten the game so many times over that I only really ever die to spikes and the final boss.

@@Crow_Rising I've never beaten up, even in hard game. When a kid, cuz of lack of skill. Tried after growing up, but the DS started havin those dust issues in the Dodge buttons, which is fatal in that game. I pushed thought and only reached the final boss on that run, but couldn't beat him

@@turinmormegil7715 It's a bit easier in the Legacy Collection version on account of the save assist system, which basically lets you have infinite lives. It's a great way to practice.

@@Crow_Rising I see. But I think I was that close of beating It, If not for the hardware issue. Nowadays I coul probably beat It If I played the original version on a DS in good conditions, just would need a tad of practice after years without playing it

@@turinmormegil7715 Yeah I was a bit rusty myself when the collection came out, but I managed to 100% it. I'm sure you'd probably be able to do it too with a bit of a refresher.

Why bother with it instead of just using the guides? As far as I know, it's not like there's any tact or thought into the recipes - no pattern you can follow to discern whether or not a combination will yield anything other than Junk Armor.

Having ZX as one of my favorite games ever has condemned me to a life of suffering. Knowing we'll never get a ZX3 because almost nobody bought the second game is really sad.

@@MechanicalRabbits ZX was awesome. ZXA was good, but flawed, namely in the powers and situationality of the replicated bosses. It was a clever idea that Megaman should have done long ago, but I suppose if they'd tried it sooner it might have killed off the entire franchise! Oh wait, Axl in X7...

@@EdKolis ZXA is definitely a worse game than ZX, but the sole reason why it didn't sell is that Capcom was barely even trying to promote the series. I asked to get it for my birthday when it came out, and I remember my parents telling me it had been really hard to find in stores, they had to check many different ones until they got one. I also remember bringing the game to school about two years after it came out, when I was 12, and evey kid who played it instantly fell in love with it, and they all got bummed out when I told them it was impossible to find in stores anymore. Many of them would've probably bought it, but they literally didn't know it existed. I don't know if it was like this everywhere else, but in Europe it felt like Capcom had zero faith in these games and did the bare minimum.

@@MechanicalRabbits Maybe you already know, but a recent podcast confirmed that they were making a ZX3 game that was supposed to be called ZXC, but they stopped when they had half of the game finished because ZX and ZXA had low sales. But you are right, i don't remember any ad or at least post or page on a videogame magazine that had ZX or ZXA. How do they expect to have good sales? btw, the cancellation was in 2008 or something like that

@@archersterling6726 I still believe a X9 is possible, but I don't think a new ZX by Capcom will be good, and even if they call Inticreates back I personally don't think it will be good either lol their new games made me quite skeptical about this...

@@archersterling6726 it is worth just for the Zero games, get it in sale to save some bucks. And ZX series is mostly "completed" but there are some questions left, sadly ZX3 was canceled quite a while ago

I honestly wouldn't even be bothered by his opinion normally, it's perfectly fine that he has his own opinion. He can like and dislike whatever games he wants. However, his insistence that it's nothing to do with him and the game is just bad, and his doubling down on this in his return to the game just doesn't feel like valid criticism to me. Not every game is going to please everyone, there's no such thing as an objectively good or bad game just as with any other form of art. He discusses a lot about how he wasn't burned out and all that, and I don't entirely believe him, but whether he was burned out or not isn't the issue. In fact, even though games are less fun when you are forcing yourself to complete them within a deadline in general, that still isn't the problem. The problem is that instead of just saying that he doesn't like the game and can't recommend it, he had to go out of his way to drill in the fact that it's not his outlook on the game that's the problem, but the game itself. Then he revisited the game just to double down on that. It doesn't feel like something an honest reviewer should ever do.

I’d gladly replay the game because it’s amazing, but yeah putting that thing in only one stage on top of making it an essential part for many recipes was a stupid decision

I'm a fan of both ZX and ZXA, and I honestly think it doesn't matter. ZXA boils it down to two options (whichever one you picked in the first game, then the opposite) and they both work fine storywise. It's like battle network's split canon, there is no point where they need to converge because the only thing after ZXA is Legends, which does not care whether it was Vent and Ashe or Aile and Grey who dealt with Serpent and Albert. So when trying to figure out which is "canon", the right answer is neither and both. The only "canon" is that the opposite choice is canon to the one you choose in Advent.

Kinda honestly. Zero 3 is my personal favorite though

@@sph9564 that’s obviously not the reason. j doesn’t understand the zero/zx series enough, specifically advent. going back to the reviews, you can see a lot of complaints that aren’t real issues and a lot of misunderstandings of the game mechanics.

I mean, Arm Parts have probably the most annoying obstacle in the series save for the X4 Arm Parts
