Am I the only one to notice how many of these passes to him he had to slow down, jump, or turn to catch behind him sometimes unnecessarily? There's your YAC yardage that a some of you claim he's lacking.
Ball placement from Rattler wasn't always accurate/timing rhythm was slightly off. You're right Leggette had to slow down, catch behind or turn to adjust to the ball. The Clemson game would of been a walk in TD if thrown to outside shoulder, instead thrown to inside shoulder turns and gets tackled at the 1
XL is nasty. Hard to bring down. He brilliantly creates space in a few of these deep passes. He'll run too far inside, bump the corner, then correct his path to the ball on the pushoff. I haven't seen other WRs do that before and I love it
Interesting prospect, seems a bit stiff and limited, but the potential is high. Maybe start him in the slot so he doesn’t have to face much press coverage and then transition him to a more traditional X if he improves his routes. Kind of disappointed by the designed touches he got this season, tons of screens and jet sweeps that didn’t show much from him. Wish he broke a few more tackles considering his athleticism
Spencer Rattler is running for his life with that O line. I believe he's the biggest sleeper in this draft! Looks like Mahomes imo. His desire to win is unquestionable
He's not good against man to man (no separation). Cannot break tackles, always go down on the first tackle. His best attribute is that he can jump high. Not a good route runner. Chiefs need a guy that can beat man to man coverage.
X is going to be a game changer for you guy. I had the pleasure of watching his whole career in Texas and that man is a beast. That being said I am over the moon getting Legette, he will be huge for Bryce with Thielen and Diontae Johnson taking the short and intermediate passes allowing him to go deep
@@kingofqueencity1503 Steve Smith loved Jonathan Mingo. Steve was great on the field, but sometimes the best players don't make very good talent evaluators
if he booms, he's gonna really boom! and usually you say that about players with a low floor and while i think his floor is significantly lower than his ceiling, i still think at worst he's a pretty decent WR in the NFL. also sidenote, Rattler is pretty damn underrated imo...
Xavier and Spencer were the lone bright spots last year. Would have been nice to give them an Oline or a running game to help things... Maybe even a second reliable receiver
Almost no yards after contact concerns me for a guy that big but once he gets going he has elite speed and of course he can go up and snatch the ball like few others in this class. Honestly wouldn't mind him going to my Pats at #34
Can you do Malachi Corley please 🙏🏽 I’d also like to see Troy Franklin heck just do like the top 20-25 WR in the upcoming draft💯💯💯 it’s honestly insane just how deep this WR CLASS is🔥🔥
It’s a few things but everyone has their flaws. I like he a big wr and has speed so he can pop one any play. Against the better talented cb’s he didn’t win a lot. Some throws was behind him but didn’t create that separation like he did against less talented cb’s. He dropped a few that was his fingertips and his hands. Carolina qb Bryce doesn’t throw that many jump ball throws or if u don’t get separation. So him not being able to get open and catch in traffic is a big concern. I like the upside tho. I don’t expect him to be the guy but definitely can find downs in the rotation. Plus he’s from my hometown county
Not very shifty at all, hard to dance around with them thick thighs I guess. I think the draft rankings on him are about right, generally see him ranked around the 60th best player. Its easy to be wowed by his strength / speed and hands on his best highlights, but overall there's a lot of question marks. Can he succeed in the NFL purely being a strong fast straight line guy?
