It was more a tip than a drop, since it kinda bounced off his fingertips. I think he was really concentrating on the footwork aspect of that particular drill, which caused him to get his hands up just a little late. Once he’d had a chance to do it a few more times, he didn’t drop anything after that.

@jamesbarnhart1232 Okay I'll be civil & respectful but more than this, I'm going to be honest. Xavier Worthy isn't as fast as advertised. His fastest 100m time is only a 10.65. This doesn't even put him in the top 70 fastest men in NFL history. The NFL combines is very inaccurate bc the start is hand motion timed. Let me explain. Xavier bent his elbow at the start, which allowed his body start his running motion without the clock starting rendering him a head start which shaved hundreds of seconds off of his time. Xavier is more or less about a 4.4 guy, which is still very fast for football but extremely slow compared to the real fastest men in NFL history. If you think I'm full of it, there's a very good video on YT explaining how Xavier manipulated his 40 yard time start. It's all hype to sell the NFL. Xavier is nowhere near as fast as he's been sold to us on.

The footballs from college to the NFL are literally different it takes some people A little bit of getting used to, the NFL balls seem to be slightly fatter and they are harder to track because of a lack of stripes that the college footballs have (I’m a DI receiver)

If a drop pass is to occur, would you prefer that it happens at camp/practice or during a scheduled game during the regular/post season? That being said, let’s be honest receiver in the history of the NFL has ever caught 100% of their passes. Case in point: Jaleel McLaughlin: Denver Broncos RB with a 91.3% catch rate… which means that he has dropped passes !!! IT HAPPENS!!!

JERRY RICE, famously dropped passes in the beginning during his first season in the NFL… Obviously things took a turn for the better. So it’s not all doom and gloom… 🤔

Not a Chiefs fan so I don't know why this popped up on my stuff, but I don't believe a player can be labeled a "BUST" until after their 2nd season in the NFL!! This kid hasn't even taken a snap in the NFL yet!! I'm sure he probably feels a lot of pressure catching passes from the best QB in the NFL too!! One drop and everyone(fans and media) screams at you, even if Pat says the pass was a little off!! This unnecessary short is evidence of that! Not saying the throw was off, but I'm sure y'all know what I mean. IT'S PRACTICE!!

Chiefs fans saying Xavier Worthy is a "BUST" need to chill out! Xavier was drafted over a month ago, and won't play his first official NFL game until September. Give Xavier a few years to develop before calling him a "BUST"; the Chiefs are going to be fine either way.

Thing is.. I would check in on Texas games, just to see our(UGA) former 2 time champ AD Mitchell. I would see Ewers throw deep balls just for #1 to drop it. This is a knock on him, although one he can improve on. I saw him drop a few passes, but I think he can get it right. Doesn't drop many

With Mahomes in a "deep threat" mode on his way to a three peat, Worthy will probably get rookie of the year. The rest of the NFL are just losers, or whiners. Let's see....Cincinnati, Buffalo, SF, Denver, LA (Chargers), Baltimore, LV are just a few who come to mind. The only thing that will stop it is if one of these low rents injure Mahomes, or Jones, or Kelce.

Well the difference between Jamar chase, Derick Henry & worthy is that Jchase & Henry both was better draft prospects than worthy.. Dude was a 3rd pick until he ran a 40, ALLAH J ROSS
