Not to mention how poor the endings were aswell lol. I was a bit disappointed, because my game save glitched and I got to a point where I couldn't finish the game. So I dropped the game completely and checked how it ended instead. I weren't far from the finish, but never mind lol.
I'm a new fan of your channel, just subbed yesterday, and I really enjoy your vids. I also collect mainly for the Xbox and the Xbox 360. They are fun, affordable platforms to collect for, and as a father, I can still enjoy collecting on a budget without feeling guilty. It is super refreshing to see someone on RU-vid say "we're going game shopping today, we have 40-60" to spend", because it's relatable. Many big youtubers out there are dropping 500$ every week on games, showing off their hauls, and while I'm sure that's a great rush to do, it's totally out of touch. Looking forward to more Xbox and 360 content!
Thanks so much dude, I really appreciate the kind words and I'm glad the vids resonate with you. On my latest vid (probably coming out tomorrow) I spent $150 and honestly felt a little guilty lol, so I totally understand where you're coming from and usually spend around $50 when I go to a game store. Thanks again for watching and take care - CJ
Absolutely loved Dead Rising, such an awesome mechanic for the time. Also, big fan of the Left 4 Dead series, the co-op was perfect and it was definitely my go-to PC game.
@@collectorjohn9538 same I’m so mad about that. Turned on my Xbox series x tonight to play some Alan wake remastered and had to download an update, was trying to preorder AW2 and the Microsoft store was giving me problems. I’m like yup. This is exactly why I rather play my OG Xbox on my crt. Contemplating getting a 360 console but I have so many 360 titles already on my series x
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is to this day the scariest game ive ever played. Maybe a little janky, and rushed twards the end, but the first couple hours is filled with dread and pure panic. Suprised it didnt make the list.
Dude, Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 are amazing! You should get them while they are somewhat affordable. Especially give raid mode on the second one a try with a friend
Good video. If you haven't used the codes that came with RE6, it'd be wise to use those before the X360 store closes next year. In fact I would recommend that everyone purchase any DLC that you've always wanted before the store closes.
Yes!! Your number one fan in Bloomington, MN checking in! I click like before even starting the video. Ha. Keep it up bro. These videos lower my anxiety on the road for work. Keep up the great work man!
What about Run Like Hell, Evil Dead Fistful of Boomstick and Regeneration, Land of the Dead Road to Fiddler’s Green, Jaws Unleashed? I need to look through my collection again.
Nice list of games! People are definitely missing out on the Xbox side, especially in the saving money department! I still have to play those Castlevania games on 360 that I got not too long ago! There's also Castlevania Curse of Darkness on the OG Xbox that could be added to your list as well! I'm sure you'll find some more horror games to add to your collection for next year to do a Part 2! Great video and keep up the good work!
Nice collection of horror games! I'm also pretty frugal when it comes to collecting, so these cheaper games are right up my alley. Glad to see some Darkwatch love. One of my favorites from that generation. One Xbox 360 horror game I recommend people try at least once is Deadly Premonition. It's weird, and rough around the edges, but truly unique in many ways. Thanks for the video! I've been thoroughly enjoying your videos. Keep up the fantastic work!
Great video, the 360 overall is just the best its got hella weird horror games too like jericho and even some fun kinect "horror" games like rise of nightmares. We need a john kinect video 100%.
Heya, love the channel! I'd heartily recommend Deadly Premonition (360) and Call of Cthulhu (og Xbox) if you're into weird games arguably worth experiencing
This was a great video, CJ. Lots of people sleep on the Xbox consoles still. Good to see you keeping the content coming and also shedding some light on the fact that there are a lot of great horror titles (and cheaper) on the platform. Some of my favorites you didn’t mention are Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide, Bloodrayne, Manhunt, and although they’re not cheap, the Saw games.
Amazing game, but a rare title that I wouldn't choose to play on the 360 haha. Since it came out at the end of the console life cycle and was cross gen, it runs pretty poorly
Great video and awesome horror game collection for the OG Xbox and Xbox 360! Athough I plan to get all of the Silent Hill and Fatal Frame games for the PS2, I definitely need to buy their Xbox counterparts as well for the exclusive content. Btw, have you heard of Curse: The Eye of Isis for the OG Xbox? That one is still on my list to get.
Crazy obscure for ps2 sells over here for around £40 but the xbox version is even cheaper (UK) great video. Ive been turning to Xbox for horror games plus, better graphics. I keep my PS2 Silent hills though. Never knew Onimusha was on Xbox!!!
360 was great. PS2 will forever be my favorite console. But 360 was really good. Left 4 Dead changed my LIIIIIFE! 😂Operation Raccoon Shitty, man i remember that, the crushing disappointment and my friends copium "no it's, good" noooo, it's really not lol. Pretty sure we all hated Alone in the Dark. Alan Wake blew my mind! The sequel looks Alan Woke, but i'll give it a shot. I remember Grabbed by the Ghoulies LOL! My "online gf" at the time, that i actually met in EverQuest for PS2, who i married irl, sent me that game with an original Xbox for Christmas. Not great, but i did enjoy it lol. Didn't Disney's Haunted Mansion come out on Xbox as well? I remember that being way better than it had any right to be. I had Cold Fear but never got around to beating it, was pretty cool though. The Thing was a solid game for Xbox. Wouldn't mind finding a copy of that today. Onimusha was way better than DMC imo, sad they retired that one. Fatal Frame kinda underrated, scariest game i ever played. The sequels got a little too edgy for me with the inverted crucifix garbo though. Good video man.
this is all facts, I grabbed a 360 for 50 quid a month ago to play Saw and i've bought a bunch of games since for very little, most i spent was £15 on SH Homecoming & £20 on Lollypop Chainsaw. got Condemned & Alan Wake for £2 each
Huge fan of dead space been playing since 2008 and the first one is my favourite so i respect you a lot for saying that .You should play Silent Hill downpour i just 100% in game and achievements 2 weeks ago never played it before it was a blast incredible game but not cheap between 50-70$ it’s the most expensive Silent Hill on the Xbox 360
Yeah man, prey got really dark the first hour you were on that ship! Also, its nuts how much cheaper the xbox versions are compared to ps2 when usually the xbox version is better!
Great selection of games! I fully stand by condemned I think it’s a very underrated gem. Haven’t played the sequel though how does it hold up to the original?
I remember one of my friends gave me his old xbox around the time the xbox 360 first came out I played doom 3 with my friend and we got real far and it was pretty scary. I'd say thats probably one of the best horror games on there
Also worth a mention that some horror games are actually cheaper on the Original Xbox than the PS2. Silent Hill 2 for instance is basically the PS2 GH version is 45 compared to almost 120 on PS2, and the Fatal Frames on Xbox tend to go for about 10-20% less.
I know resident evil racoon city gets a really bad wrap. I actually enjoyed it. I picked it up for $1 at gamestop a few years ago knowing that it was probably going to be terrible, but was actually surprised that it really isn't that bad. Personally, I had just played the RE2 Remake and gone through the 4th survivor mode with Hunk. I thought he was super badass and wanted to know more about his story. Op Racoon City kind of tells the story? Sort of? Idk, I just liked that I got to play as part of Umbrella Spec Ops team.
Yeah I almost included that one. Def has horror vibes and it's probably my favorite David Cage game (whose games I don't actually like that much, but I do have a fondness for Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain)
Absolutely. This is a game collecting channel though and I personally don't really care that much about collecting old games digitally on Steam or GOG (though I do love GOG)-- it's a lot more fun for me to collect the actual physical games and play them on old hardware. Maybe that makes me a bit of a weirdo but I think lots of people are starting to feel the same way about the 360 as it gets older
@@collectorjohn9538I have a large game collection myself, but I personally wouldn't be caught dead with the 360 port of F.E.A.R. I simply cannot understand the appeal of collecting what are essentially the worst versions of a lot of these games. It probably doesn't help that video games lost their appeal to me after the 6th generation. It's cool that you're into collecting for this system though! One horror title that is best on 360 to this very day is "Deadly Premonition". I can't imagine it goes for more than 20 dollars and I highly recommend it!
Despite the reasons you give, most people would rather collect for the PS2 unless they're very tight on funds. The reason why is because collectors look for consistency. Like you pointed out SH3 is not on Xbox and neither is SH1, SH Shattered Memories, or SH Origins so it breaks out the sequence. This alone makes it less interesting to collect and less appealing on a shelf. That's my 2 cents
I think more people are tight on funds than we all realize (including me) which is why I make videos like this! Obviously collecting every SH game on the same platform is the ideal, but it's also good to know that there are other options if you just want a couple Silent Hill games for less than the price of one of them on the PS2
Wow, that is very nice of you! I definitely don't expect you to do that but I would certainly give you a shout in an upcoming pickups video. Email me at collectorjohn27@gmail.com
