Xbox 360 S Ventilation Error fix (It's not thermal paste!!!) 

The original xbox was the best so easy and simple to open up and take apart to clean I wish all console still kept the simpler design

Ich habe dafür (die XBOX war bereits geöffnet) knapp 20 Minuten benötigt, da alles sehr, sehr klein ist. Es war mein erstes SMD-Projekt, welches ich mit Lupenbrille und Mikrospitze am Lötkolben durchgeführt habe. Ohne dieses Video hätte ich die XBOX wahrscheinlich entsorgt oder als Ersatzteillager benutzt, da ich bereits mit Heißluftfön und Lötpaste einen Versuch gestartet hatte. Auf die Widerstände wäre ich nie von alleine drauf gekommen. Schöne Grüße aus Deutschland & frohe Festtage!

The clip is accessible through a hole in the case behind the sticker. Use your finger to locate it by pressing down then slip a sim card removal tool and it pops right off.

Im quite new to fixing consoles, can you teach us how to short and solder?

I really need help because in my case, I can't seem to locate those resistors. I think my motherboard is different and I can't find a solution for mine.

It's not necessary to bridge the resistor. The Soldering has gone bad and it is enough to reflow with fresh solder. After that the resisor will read 0 ohms again. Problem solved and 360 will work again. Thanks for the video!

If someone could help me, i'd appreciate it. I can't seem to find those resistors. Yeah, I know where they should be, but my motherboard is very different. Is there any way to solve it? It just sucks because I find no information regarding to my specific motherboard

I have a tiny small fan that blows hot air away from console it's sits on top of vent. I've never had heating issues however I have a hardrive Inside. Sometimes I think it runs hotter if no hard drive installed so that may make contribute to heating issues

Did you solder off the faulty resister and replaced with the wire? Or did you solder the wire on top of the resister?

Can someone please help me? My 360 works fine untill i put in a game and play for a while and then it randomly shuts off and has a red dot (not ring)

Had this exact problem a few years ago but didn’t take notice of it but now it only boots for 14 seconds and dies completely won’t boot again for a couple hours also there’s a hissing sound when power is connected

Does this resistor issue throw up a 0100 secondry error code as well ??

Does it matter how many need to be shorted?

Oh those cuts... only parts are missing where you should see how to disassemble the hardest ones.

Does the fan go up little by little or do you turn it on and the fan is already at maximum?

The right lights up then shuts down after 3 seconds

The 360s is ridiculous to take apart wish they would simply these console so that anyone can just do regular cleaning maintenance on fans / heat sink etc.

Is it necessary to remove all components before desoldering?
