Xbox Banned me for This... Oh, but I thought Microsoft said a little competitive trash talk is ok and allowed. I encountered one of those Modern Sweatfare 2 trolls and apparently, he reported me and it actually worked. I did use trash talk against him but for good reason. I did not say anything discriminative, culturally offensive, etc. I simply rubbed it in his face how he was trash talking but lost and got owned in the game. So per Microsoft's vision of "competitive trash talk." Speaking of "Per Microsoft," the thing they sent me about harassment was something the troll was doing, so I don't see why I was the one to get banned.
I was playing some Prisoner Rescue on Modern Sweatfare 2, and this guy was always talking trash and always had a problem with how I play the game. Most of the time, I camp with a shotgun because the game is too sweaty. Flame me for it, I don't care. There's no way I'm going to sweat when I grew up as a casual CoD player. I saw this guy camp with an RPG, so I don't know why he had a problem with me even when he was on my team. He starts trash talking and I simply mute him as a normal player SHOULD do. He did not like that, and started using a middle man to make sure I heard him complaining against me. I stated I won't revive him if he continues with that nonsense. But I died first, which prompted him false revive me in the game. Which means he held "X" for a short time before releasing, not allowing me to get revived. He did it continuously.
Eventually, I return the favor but eventually stop as I felt bad (he wasn't trash talking anymore) and I figured this was a one time thing. But this troll was dedicated to ruining my games. Fast forward to another game, he starts ruining my game again which at this point is affecting the whole team. I return the favor but he rage quits. The next day, he's in my game again and immediately started trash talking me to the whole lobby. I initially was going to mute him but decided to play and try to win to rub it in his face. We won, he went negative, and lost the game badly. He ended up on the bottom of the score board, carried by his whole team. I rub it in his face but apparently he reported me which resulted in me getting suspended from Xbox Live.
Xbox banned me for this which wasn't entirely my fault. Had the troll known his place and shut his mouth, neither of us would be in this situation. Just goes to show Xbox will ban you for trash talking, regardless if you use really offensive language or not.
