I bought this in large part based on your video. I got the "VIDPID Uknow" error trying to update the firmware just like you. Took another look at the screen and realized: they show it connected to the controller when updating the firmware. I attached it to the contoller and the update worked perfectly.
I've had this for a year. For the elite 2. At first it was to use with the ps4 but it also ads the gyro function to the elite 2. I love gyro gaming. The updates are easy on windows 10. Plug it in and it does everything for you. Also I tripped over the cord and pulled it to the floor and kicked it, now it only connects over Bluetooth. So I have to charge the controller and then reconnect the device. I feel like there is some sorta of delay or connection drops when I'm connected over Bluetooth. But still worth the experience to use the world's best 4 paddle controller.
God I wish some company like scuf would build an Xbox elite type controller that works on PS5. 😢 I play claw so the ps5 is just not cutting it for me especially on the MW2 Beta, sucking major ass 😤😤
This looked dope until you said it only works for the PS4 games on the PS5. I have a Xbox Elite Series 2 and I love it and I dont really like my stock PS5 controller but it makes sense you wouldnt be able to use it on the PS5 titles because of the haptic feedback and the R2 triggers resistance thingy. Been eyeballing the AIM PS5 controller but cant justify dropping 200+ on a PS5 controller right now since there are not THAT many PS5 exclusive titles I want to play. My main issue with the stock PS5 controller is the plastic gets pretty slippery when my hands get sweaty and I always seem to have to readjust my hand position.
you could swap out the back of the stock ps5 controller pretty easily for ones with some rubber grips on the back. extremerate controller shells. can add back paddles too
Might I recommend the rise4 kit from extremerate? It's adds 4 paddles/buttons to the back while replacing the rear shell with a textured grip. While I haven't yet used it, I am a huge fan of all the extremerate products I've used and I owe that to this channel.
8:25 i feel like this should be emphazied more, i was about to buy one but this simple fact made me not buy it, its a big deal because the difference between ps4 and ps5 versions are really big

Does the gyroscope function still work with Xbox series X? I'm literally trying to find either an adapter or controller that's compatible with the series X and an elite series 2 JUST for the motion control feature for a decent price an not have to spend $150+ for it I love the paddle placement of the elite series 2
I had the original x-one adapter one my elite serise 1 I still use it on switch pc xbox serise and ps4...it don't work on ps5 games so this new one should be a worth while accessory for anyone with multi console setups
Its annoying how gimmicks (haptic feedback/adaptive triggers) stop these adapters from working Microsoft really nailed it when it came to supporting older hardware and giving players choice
Haptic feedback is on 2/3 main consoles (HD rumble on the switch, made by the same firm) so you can’t really call it a gimmick. I’d almost be willing to put money on the next gen Xbox having it too. HD rumble works pretty well too considering it’s a full step down from the ps haptic feedback. It’s a shame that there’s not an adapter out there that can use the dualsense haptic in place of the HD rumble. Analog triggers are pretty cool too, and the only thing that makes it gimmicky in my opinion is that it’s only on the ps5. If it was a standard, same with haptics, multi-console titles would be that much better.
Please please can someone answer this? So i cant play modern warfare 2 ps5 version? Would i have to buy the ps4 version for the adapter to work? Thanks in advance
From what I've seen from the comments, this only allows you to use the Xbox controller to play PS4 games... I don't't think this is worth it for the ps5, if you can't play PS5 games on it...
