It still is beyond me why people would actively want an internal rechargeable battery vs being able to plop out a battery kit or just drop in some duracells. However, I am very happy that the grips and bumpers will be less of an issue in series 2... It might even be a good time to get some more of the older ones.

Day 1 buy for me. Gears, destiny shadowkeep, borderlands 3 and eventually Halo infinite. Going to be a dream with this beastly controller

Funny how they dodged all of the known issues with the series 1. They could’ve talked about it, admitted it and said: yes, we got feedback and we improved it. But like always they tried to hide it and were quiet about it... This makes them pretty untrustworthy and doesn’t make me open my pocket for 180 bucks. Really sad to see.

My biggest concern is the internal battery I hate them I don't care how long they last. Just let me play with my controller until the battery gets low. swap out the batteries in 30 seconds and keep on playing. With internal battery how do you swap it out when the charge no longer lasts. I know there will be a time where I will forget to charge it too then be forced to play with the controller plugged in which I also hate doing. Just like a cell phone I'm sure the battery won't hold a charge well after a couple of years. Then what buy a new controller? It's my only concern. Everything else looks fantastic and amazing. But this one change may keep me from buying it.

Three things I needed clearing up and this panel did it: 1. Docking station doesn't have a battery of its own 2. Rubber grips are better 3. Paddle buttons aren't so sensitive Day 1 purchase for me.

I don't give a flying damn about features if the damn thing falls apart like so many of the first series did. I've had several exchanges through warranty and all - left bumper breaks from one side and it was the same side. Absolutely pathetic construction quality for a product costing 3 times as much as the base product. I've never had an issue with the basic XB1 controller's bumper. Ever.

I needed that Last question on that Durability on the grips! Both of my grips have loosen up and I to reapply adhesive to one of them already. I'm all in.

Day 1 buy for sure. My elite series 1 is still in great condition, no wear and tear but I still gotta get this new one 😍😍

I had three Elite Controllers, all three controllers had issues with the bumpers. I had to replace them with parts from Amazon... I sincerely hope this will be addressed.

Grips is a number 1 question.....

The rubber grips was the most important question and they should have brought that up themselves!! LOL

There is an LED charging indicator on the front of the controller, just above the Profile button. Flashing white LED = charging Solid white LED = fully charged Amber LED = low battery

The only thing I needed to sell me is the tension increase. I dont care what "mathematical" facts say. My aim is all over the place with the crap x1 joysticks but the 360 was perfect! Everything else is icing on the cake. I hope the bumpers are a complete redesign I've replaced 2 for my elite because the plastic underneath snaps in the middlem

how difficult is it to change the battery in this thing? Because ultimately it will die

if only it had removable batteries so i could use the scuf control paddle system with it

are the inside of the bumpers still cheap plastic that breaks?

My 2 biggest issues with the first Elite was pealing grips and the durability of the shoulder bumpers. Both of my and my sons Elite ended up with pealing grips and both of us had bumper button breaking. I am on my 3rd, he is on his 2nd and his second has started to have the grip pealing. That's 5 controller bought in 4yrs which isn't 'good' enough - so I hope the issues have been fixed!!!

Wow all the hate from the casuals that want an interactive movie with quick time events...Gears 5 will be amazing with this, I'm getting this day one. Really like the improvements from the first one. Nice to see the best controller out there [in my opinion] has a premium version for competitive gamers.

Love my elite s1 will be getting s2 for sure stick tension is the selling point for me can wait usually to get that in a controller cost near double in some cases

One question. So they say there is 3 profiles u can have on the controller. And for example just say i is for gears one for forza and one for halo. Lets say for gears i want my thumbsticks tension to be loose and Forza i want max halo in between. Do i have to change it all the time? Or would i select the profile and it will automatically move it for me

Hope They will make a special edition Scarlett console with this controller inside or have a good bundle deal when you purchase your Scarlett . The first Xbox Elite had a bad rep of falling apart mine included but Microsoft support took care of me and I was really surprised. Keep up the good work and you can count me in for Scarlett and this controller ..

Low stick tension is objectively better, lol, remember when people were crying over the low stick tension on the DS3

4 regular controllers or 1 Super Elite? Hmm... I don’t know. I do find it funny the biggest selling point is probably, “You can turn it into a 360 controller.”

I always wanted to buy the first elite, but seems it was plagued with quality provlems, many people complaining on the internet that it was just garbage.

The work the Xbox team has been doing with controllers and freesync to improve playability of games is great. I'm glad the tightness of the 360 sticks are coming back. Hopefully scarlets controllers will be more like the 360 but with better dpad.

Low tension ruins the series X controller. I want dualshock 4 tension.

STICK DRIFT?? Any1 wanna address that problem. You dont need a degree in science to re apply adhesive to sum grips.

You can buy and Xbox one S bundle for the price of this controller and it won't drift or fall apart on you like the Elite 1. Ive had two Elite controllers and both had thumbsticks drifting badly and one actully broke and just flopped around all within a year. They look good and feel good but inside is made from the cheapest plastics known to man. The Elite 2 will just be the same. They will not build it from any better materials. It will be just a re-skinned controller with a few extras. Don't waste your money people, extra paddles won't make you better.

What's going to happen when you're a rechargeable battery fails after the warranty after a a year have $180 paperweight I love the way U controllers I wish they didn't have a built-in battery on the new one

Tell us about the GRIPS! I got shweety Ba...Hands... The grips fall apart after a few months from the glue dissolving. This needs to be addressed!

Microsoft! You sly devil of a company. I like what I'm seeing with it. Looks amazing! Your products generally do look the part. But will this controller have the same problems as Series 1 and your official standard controller do? You know...stick drift (for me anyway) is a major problem to have with a "premium" piece of hardware. Especially if take care of your tech. Dropping two-hundy on a controller just seems risky to me, knowing what I do about your controllers.

Still will be a failure, I will never buy another Premium product from Microsoft as they say Premium is just a PR term for GARBAGE I have had over 20 elite controllers now all failed all faulty. Just goes to show what they mean be Premium.... I bet 100000000 dollars that they will fail just like the one. I also Noticed what do you call a life of a controller not even a month of use ??????? Appalling I have noted and made a case file of this appalling failure to the ACCC in Australia. Ps I think that case charger will be a fire hazard like the old Samsung notes. I would never charge something in a case too much heat. MORONS

Yeah, don't give us detailed gameplay of a game coming out in just 3 months, but by all means we need all the details of a new controller that most people won't buy.
