I cannot WAIT! I just ordered a Q60B this morning as I am redesigning an office (I work from home) and wanted a smaller tv with the Game Pass included to compliment the larger Samsung in the livingroom that has the connsole (Series X). I am picking it up today. Good video and thanks for posting it
That makes sense use night time Forza on streaming and daytime on the console. The servers for XCloud are Series X's All your losing is the 4K down to 1080p That's it
It’s great because whether you pick it up on console cloud or pc your saves transfer seemlesly on Xbox unlike ps plus where you will have manually upload your console save to cloud and then download it back to the streaming service
FYI, cloud guide overlay only needs a single press of the Xbox button(showing your gamer roots!). As to wired vs wireless…wired is generally a very good experience for low input latency and low risk of packet loss…but it shouldn’t have impact on the time the rocket animation is up(aka provisioning). That time is how long it takes to find a console in the cloud close to you with the game that you wanna play and to recover your account to that cloud console. There are however rare cases where the wireless network has multiple layers of routers and NAT which could cause delays…but that isn’t the norm. Also some people have failing wired switches…and amusingly find better experience with 5GHz WiFi.
Zach Johnson - AGREED. A lot of the casuals and hardcore gamers don't really understand what goes into making a network operate properly. Some people don't have Fiber and Gigabit routers with Cat7+ and Wi-fi 6 in their homes, hotels, or other various places. It's just amazing to me for it get to even this point. And to think... it's going to get better.
Be interesting to see how Flight Sim functions in this app, since that is quite a demanding game. Looks to be very simple to use, and I’m sure it will expand to other TV brands in the future.
I would imagine, if anything, that Fight Sim would be a better experience because you let MS worry about the hardware requirements...and hopefully they won't skimp on properly supporting it, and the gameplay would probably better tolerate any potential lag issues because it's not really about frenetic action as planes generally fly in a more sedate manner.
For me flight sim had much delay on cloud gaming at launch but it has improved alot! I do not notice any input lag anymore. That goes for every game on xcloud
The 2022 Samsung tvs have 2 Bluetooth connections I understand. Can you connect 2 game controllers and play using game pass and no console? So 2 can play together?
I know on mobile the Cloud Gaming is a bit wonky definitely needs work but glad that it’s a Beta and so much can be approved on I may need to buy a Samsung soon and try out other games and see how smooth they run
I was going to buy a xbox just to play microsoft flight simulator. So with this basically I can play on my Samsung T.V using a controller without needing a console with the same graphics???
Glad you uploaded this review but I’ll wait till gamepass is out of Beta because the latency issues even with wired connection and high speed internet it still kinda kills it for me. So far I bought a Xbox Series S and it is worth it
That really depends on the game tho. FPS & racing requires low latency but I’ve played a bunch of turn based RPGs games and latency doesn’t even matter. if you have Gigabit internet latency is basically undetectable.
@@samg3187 I find when playing like racing games and fps games it doesn’t have the full like field of view I can’t fully control how it moves as it juts over some bits making it impossible to aim( I am using a ps5 controller connected through my Samsung tv) is it the controller, or is it something else do you have any tips
He forgot to mention that now you can play free games without game pass subscription. They recently add the first one, Fortnite. More coming later. This might be useful if you want to test it without paying.
Is it even worth it though. The last time that I played Fortnite on a console it ran clunky. You definitely have an advantage on PC, and I prefer console gaming.
Pretty impressive! I just brought this TV todsy so will be trying to log into my Xbox account which I haven't used since 2010. I have 900MB Internet download speeds so I'm hoping everything is smooth as uck
Well, I intend to get a New QD OLED for the living room, and this app won't make sense for me there, but going forward in the future as I replace the tv in the bedroom this will be cool because I can pick up some games while in bed via the cloud which will be pretty cool as I won't need a second console.
Thanks for the video. Does it support 2 player split screen on compatible games? As in, if I own two controllers, can I play split screen Fortnite with my buddy sitting next to me?
Game pass always reminded me of sega channel in the 90’s just rehashed…….but this….this is where they need to go….this gives people the option to buy a good tv and game without console……console seems like it would be for hard core gamers or at least serious gamers, who need the over the top graphics and processing power…….once they make this 4k and up…..they’ll own the majority of the market I feel……
@@austinday3884 It’s already been confirmed that they will add support for older Samsung models (2021, etc.) Its only available right now for people who bought the 2022 models.
ive the samsung tv 2022 model. gamepass app is very slow to use, thier is major input delay naviagating the interface. in game i have no issue playing games
Yes!! Finally. Xbox gamehub on Samsung TV. Expand ALL games to gamehub eliminating all hard copies and control of save files to rid of cheating and gaining fair gameplay.
@@iDTecKt lol @ kiddo. Thanks for the compliment. I'm well aware of how streaming works. Plain and simple, stop using cheap equipment. 😉👍 This 5k tv i have works great with my 5gig bandwidth and 3k PC
An interesting concept for sure, but certainly nothing that would tempt me away from buying a console for under £500 and playing these games on the hardware they were designed for. Nodoby who already owns a high end TV is going to be buying a new TV for a cloud based gaming app when they can get the console for under half the price
Nobody is rushing out and buying this TV because of Game Pass. This is for people to upgrade to down the line. People who are already desperate for Game Pass will get an Xbox. People that are more casual gamers will buy this TV and have Game Pass on their TVs and phones
Samsung sells the most TV's every year. If all of those TV's can now subscribe to gamepass it's a huge win. People won't buy the TVs for game pass.... They were going to buy the TVs regardless.
@@Y0PPS oh okay so considering the price of the tv the best way to still play xbox is via a console then PC and lastly cloud taking into consideration quality and features.
@@BooredAtWork Ok thanks! What about Xbox series x vs series s? What’s the best value because I am on a budget but I have heard from some people that the Xbox series x is cheaper in the long term.
It’s already hard enough finding a PS5, now people can just download a Game Pass app. Once this starts getting implemented in more TVs it’s going to be game over for PlayStation..
@@mustafab.5261 Microsoft will still get the revenue so at the end of the day they’ll still win. Their priority right now is services and subscriptions.
I doubt microsoft will stop making consoles. Gives people options on how they will like to game with xbox whether it be on a console,pc or the app on any device.
It's not only Samsung other smart TVs are going to be added asap Microsoft is currently speaking with other smart tv Devs to get the app added so get it right mr board At Work Xbox has stated that aswell but Samsung already talked with Microsoft during 2020 and this is why Samsung is first to showcase Xbox on Samsung it was already in the works years back so everyone expect other smart TVs to be added to Xbox
@@cloudvalidation8536 yeah still expensive in my country 20 dollar = 300 TRY expensive as f for a subscription, GeForce now has a special price for turkey 110 TRY yeah it's not worth it for 110 TRY and you have to pay the games Xbox game pass ultimate = 45 TRY reasonable price and free games
I got one question please. I just bought Samsung Q60B and when i tryied cloud gaming it s was really laging. Do you know or any idea why it s like that?
so is this streaming from just your xbox when you have the game pass, or what hardware is it using(Xbox in another room, TV[doubt], off site like GeForce)?
My tv is too old mine tv is one from 2021 i heard you said only compatible for 2022 im not going to buy an new tv for this ( im happy with mine classic 2021 model tv) and my classic xbox series x an shame that its not compatible .
If someone send u a invite can u play cod from it (splitscreen sucks) tryna figure out if me nd my bro can play together if I got the Xbox n the room n he play from the tv
