Probably a lot cheaper for companies by not spending money on the discs and packaging. But I like having physical media as it can’t disappear from a server.
If it wasn't for certain games being released on certain systems only the other reason people would choose to buy systems are for the different specs accessories and available things that each system can do that others can't for example the PS3 was able to play Blu-ray discs prior to the Xbox being able to when it first came out. Also streaming services that are offered different reasons. Just my opinion and thoughts
They are talking about putting call of duty on the switch. Also have you ever tried any cloud gaming on the switch I tried playing resident evil 7 which is a cloud gaming free game on Nintendo switch but the inputs are so delayed that it's unplayable
