I Own a respectable collection of Xbox consoles and games from over the years, Recently I was given a 2 week suspension from live! I had called Xbox customer support and the representive I was talking to said he already knew this happens all the time and that it's a joke anybody can report you for anything and this shit happens. I'm now selling the whole collection on craigslist. Fuck you Microsoft I will never buy another product from you again. From 6 years old to 25 years old I've been an avid gamer; gaming is one of my passions but now that I've lost all progress I can't bring myself to touch another game. I think I'm done.

You can’t get your account back on ps4. And if that’s the case, then where’s mine? I was falsely reported and got perma banned as a result and when i called sony, they said there was “nothing they could do”.

I had someone deleting all of my progress in MW3 on 360 with at least 400 hours of playtime. All my statistics gone, as if I never played it, just because I joined a public game with a modder. I reported him and had several people I know report him, guess what, nothing happened to him and he's still playing online. Last year, I was randomly banned from sending messages for nothing at all for 1 week. I have still no idea why. This system is a fucking mess.

This is still happening. I was recently suspended after responding to some jerk trolling my inbox. I should have ignored him however I didn’t. Lesson learned. There needs to be a better system for filing complaints. It’s too easy got good gamers to get banned over absolutely nothing.

What surprised me even more is that the enforcement team upheld my suspension after I made a case. I was banned in august, the only game I played was GTA online, I had 7k hours over 5 years of playtime and roundabout 100 million of (legitimate) money. I was banned for "cheating" let me tell you how I played this game: when I was not playing with some of my streamer buddies or whatever, I was in a solo public session making money or helping others make money. so when I saw that "notice of enforcement action" when I tried to sign in one morning when I got up, I was hella confused. and even more so when I went through the process to try and get the account back and basically got told "tell us what you did and how we're wrong" the thing is that I did nothing, I did everything in my power to be a nice guy to the community, I helped the level 10s that no one else would, I delt with the annoying squeakers and tried to teach them. just to have that taken away from me one late august morning for no reason at all. I might buy an xbox series x if there's a chance I could transfer my character to another xbox account through social club, but if not I'm just gonna say fuck it and never touch GTA again. that was one of the few games I actually liked, the ability to meet new people while having something for everybody, and 7k hours of progress at level 480ish just isn't something you attempt to make back, that shit takes YEARS.
I dont think they do console transfers on gta accounts anymore sadly. And that really is shitty. They have nothing in place to help people who are wrongfully banned and its completely unacceptable

When you said you told him about his IP and where he lived, I see why he reported you for threatening behaviour, but a communication ban for a couple days would’ve been fine (a communication ban is when you’re banned from clubs, activity feed, voice chat and messages). I suppose when one of the moderators saw the message about the IP and location they just pussied out and banned you. The enforcement team robbed you since you couldn’t access these thousands of dollars worth 100 something games and apps. You should’ve gone to the law about this. I would have.

I've been permanently banned a few months back. I had an Xbox one since day one. I bought most of my games online for years. They AT LEAST need to make away to transfer all the games and account balance.
Basically this exactly same thing happened, to me 2016 on February 22nd and I lost Minecraft, Rocket league, BO3, GTA5, and around 200$ Xbox credit on the account, it's genuine theft and it's bullshit. This is why you buy discs, I recently got banned on the series x about 2 weeks ago. " Ban evading com ban " Aka i made to many alt accounts and my console got flagged and banned. For " Spam " But i stopped going digital, I have 2 more series x's so them banning 1 out of three don't effect me. But this is just a lesson learned when buying digital content. It's better to have a physical copy, That way if you did get banned you can still access the game you paid for.

They've seen it. Enforcement is solely at the discretion of the person reviewing the report. They really need more checks and balances in place and a better system to get your account back after years of being banned
This just happened to me yesterday a guy literally was on my account and I had no knowledge about it so anyways he went into LFG and harassed a guy who supposedly waits in the shadows to get people banned on purpose and sends a message after saying “enjoy your ban lol” and continues the cycle to many many other. As usual filed a case review and they said the Terms of service says you are still held accountable and liable even if someone else did this on your account, put a pass key on they said even though I had one they can’t read or it was automated because I stated I had a pass key and the perpetrator still got in and trolled in the LFG causing the ordeal. I digress though going to PC though for sure.

I got banned but got it reversed. Some kid from GTA. For two letters. Not even words. Just abbreviations . I think he has administrator privileges so I messaged him on another name and basically he laughed at me said he enjoyed it. I wrote xbox and they made me write a 250 word essay to get back on. Some people get you banned for their entertainment. I get trash talked all the time on GTA get invited to rooms where Im bullied. I just laugh and I never report cause that's being a KAREN.
In my opinion if a Xbox account has atleast a 5 year+ Tenure. Then the report should be atleast investigated more then let’s say a 1 year old account. Since the person with a 5 year+ old account obviously has more knowledge about Code of Conduct/ToS and has a bigger chance of have gotten false reported but also has a lot more to loose (in terms of bought games, save data etc)

So for everyone that keeps on saying “you could have just easily blocked the kid” he could have but like relentless said, the kid would have now become someone else’s problem, why should anyone else have to deal with a nuisance online? So maybe this is why I prefer disk over digital. Sure I'll still lose all of my progress and data but at least I don't have to buy the game again no matter how many times I get suspended. As long as the disk doesn't get damaged and I don't mind getting up from my couch to put in the disk everytime I play a new game, I'll be fine. Plus it looks cool to have that disk box on your shelf to show off to people.
