Thank you! As of now im not really satisfied with the design, there are some flaws with the shifting and some other issues I'm not happy with. But since so many are asking I guess I should upload my stuff to thingiverse with a WIP flag. I'll try to upload the coming week 👍🏻

It's usable with any game where the gears can be bound to any key. Unfortunately Forza horizon only works with shifter if you have a racing wheel with a shifter.

It's not released yet, I've got quite some other projects on my 3d printer around christmas and stuff like that. Have to do some tinkering with the gearbox and the wheel before I release the files, I guess. Thank you for your interest!

Yes. Run it as admin before starting the game. You can try if it works in an editor, if it writes the numbers in the editor it should work in-game ☺️

You can play any game that allows to change the key for the gears. So far I've played Euro truck simulator, assetto Corsa, project cars 1&2 and my summer car 🤔

Yes! Right now I'm still in the process of designing functional parts, but the wheel can be any size. I'm also thinking to design some sort of quick release for the wheel so you can change it easily.

Hi! First - thank you for stopping by! The shaft for the wheel is pretty big for the size of the wheel, I guess up to about 200mm diameter of the wheel that shaft should not be a problem. Apart from that I'm in the process of designing a new shaft with gearing for a higher angle of steering. The game is called Beam Ng drive, but I've seen some other games where every gear could be mapped separately - that's the only requirement for my software to work. Your build out of PS4 and Xbox 360 controller sounds pretty nice! Are you planning on uploading smth about that on your YT channel? Would be nice to see some of you work!

@@BeanJ moin ;) ja ich denke ich werde es hochladen wenn es fertig ist und funzt. Es soll modular werden und auf verschiedene Art befestigbar werden. Eventuell mit der Möglichkeit das Lenkrad 180 grad zu drehen bevor der maximale Anschlag erreicht ist. Alles nur damit man ein gutes feeling in VR bekommt ;)

I would be able to, yes, but the problem is, that there is no analog axis left for me to use. I don't know if a button-like clutch is any fun. Thought about the left joystick up and down but than I wouldn't be able to steer all the time. 🤔

@@crispie-cars Hm. It's possible that in this video it's an older version. 🤔 You could try to position the boxes and shift while you're in an editor to check, if the software sends an output at all. Quite hard to diagnose this remotely 😃

@@crispie-cars I think I had a similar problem one time. Let me take a look into it, I'm not near my PC right now - will get back to you as soon as I'm back home. 😃 You could try to reboot, replug the controller and start the software as admin, other than that I'm out of ideas without access to my pc 😬🤔 ouh, and the controller should be plugged in _before_ you start the shifter software 🙂 maybe it helps

The software will work and the sticky tape version of the shifter, but the conversion kit itself won't take a xbox360 controller afaik. But it's on the to-do list to design that

Unfortunately not, Forza only allows manual shifting when a steering wheel is connected. But the driving itself works. Just without the 6 speed shiftrr

I'm not selling them ATM, you would need either a 3d printer or you could print it at a makerspace or smthn like that. The files for it are available at my thingiverse page.

I haven't released it yet, I'm not completely happy with how it works. I will need some time to reprint some parts and new designs

The best sort of feedback from beta testers for me would be people who own a 3d printer. As I am designing the parts I need feedback for the printing of those parts, how they work together, if there is a weak part and so on. I am redesigning single parts and test them in the current built, only switching one by one of those parts - with feedback from people with 3d printers I could react to other people's problems with my designs. The testing in the game for the shifter and the wheel is only a pretty small part of the whole process at the moment. Currently I'm trying to print the last parts I need and I will upload all of this on thingiverse. If you find a makerspace nearby you could give that a try, when I've released the first built.
