This works! I was losing hope thinking I would have to pay for a repair or open it up and fix it myself but no need. Just a Lil patience. I had to completely unplug everything from the Xbox and the TV power cord as well for atleast 10 minutes and then tried this process and it came right on. Thank you.

Thank you so much for this video! I will, however, say that it did not work for me, and I was literally about to take drastic measures. And luckily, I didn’t have to. So when i was holding the two buttons, to do the reset, I had to let mine beep three times. After trying your way several times, I just decided out of pure aggravation honestly, just to keep hold of them longer and then found that it beeped a third time and it finally reset and worked. Either way I would’ve been lost without this video completely so thank you so Much, and if anybody else is having issues doing what he says not working, try holding the two buttons a little longer and wait for another beep!
I just had this happen to me and was very frustrated. I have a smart tv and this method did NOT work for me. What I ended up doing (which was what someone said here in the comments) was to unplug EVERYTHING. The tv, the Xbox, the power cords, hdmi, everything. Wait 10 minutes then plug it all back in then start up the tv then turn on the Xbox. It worked and my screen is back on
to save time when un plugging electrcal devices instead of waiting for a minuite or two you can just turn the power button on while its unplugged this helps dissipate any energy that remains in the system
Note: if the safe mode didn’t pop up for you I have the solution, you might have played with different screens that your Xbox changed the resolution to 1440p. Go to another good screen that support 1440p or 4K and change the resolution to 1080p or 720p. Also enabling CEC is very important to let your Xbox change the resolution automatically depending on the screen resolution. Hope that helps you.
@@georgekasper2087 this is a big problem that needs to be addressed by xbox instead of them just throwing basic troubleshooting resolves that we have already tried. Its honestly appauling ive had this xbox for only 3 or 4 months
@@georgekasper2087 i found out how to fix it freind, first you need to make sure youve unplugged, safe mode wont work if you havent unplugged first then plughed back in. Then you need to hold the sync button and press (PRESS NOT HOLD) the power button and it will boot into safe mode. Idk how i solved this it nearly killed me bro 💀

Good to know how to video. Son has older One S and if been overnight at friends the console will not connect to wifi. So we have to resort to rest so we can enter our wifi details. This didn’t work at first BUT I seen someone say to unplug every chord plus the tv power chord from the tv, wait 10 minutes then do what you stated in the video, IT WORKED🎉
i tried everything on yt, but nothing works, nothing pops up. ive tried a few different screens, hdmi’s and power cables. i can hear xbox sound through the headset but no visual. is this a hardware issue?
@@mikesunboxing my monitor doesnt have a reset option, its a cheap onn monitor from walmart, i tried it on the tv in my living room, should i try to reset the tv in there?
Thanks. This reset worked for me. Interesting thing is when it did come on, it set up like a new Xbox. Seems the device totally reset. When it did come up, it was trying to set the video to 4k, which did not work, but 1080P did. Don;t understand why it did this to begin with since I have been using it in the same set-up for years. do you know why whenever i put my series s on 120hz my screen will sometimes flicker to the point where i can’t see play the game at all or it just makes it straight black with a bar on the top that shows a little bit.
I'm having similar situation on my Xbox One S. No display and the controller is not paired. Checked my router page and the xbox is not connected either. Tried different HDMI cable/displays but no luck. I don't hear any Hard disk failure noise and I can hear the spinning noise. Could it be display port or IC issue ?
Interesting to know these things… even thou I own an older XBox system 😜. These are great money saving tips that even the FAQs / Trouble shooting guides generally don’t cover 😢. Hopefully these tips do make their way into product manuals 👍😇

My system is brand new and nothing looks wrong with the port. It was also working just fine last night. Might be a bug. If not they better give me my money back lol
Another thing you can do is restart your TV I have a Roku tv and my Xbox was not coming on but I went to another room and tried my older TV that does not have built in Roku and it worked fine so I went back and reset my TV that was having the issue with my Xbox and everything worked fine the only thing I had to do was reset up the game setting for the display
i’ve don’t this and took it to the shop and it still doesn’t help i’ve tried most methods cleaned it and everything and someone help i’ve used 3 diffrent hdmi and 3 different tv and when i took it to the shop they said it should work and it doesn’t
Got to the part with the 2 start up chimes. It chimed twice then I let go of the start button but it didn't turn on safe mode as the display was still black. The console did feel a bit warm to the touch so I'll leave it for an hour or two and try again
@@mikesunboxing It turns out it's a problem with the TV. I connected it to my PC monitor and wullah, it works! Of course now I have the unfortunate problem of buying a brand new TV. Hmm....
this dosent work for me when I do it it just does the initial sound and then dosent play another and stays on a black screen then powers off in around 30 seconds (xbox series s)
I did all that but once I changed the resolution to 720 p "what my tv supports" it gives a no signal sign then reset back to 640 x 480 after 20 seconds would really appreciate some help
When I hold the power button and sync button down, I only get one beep and the a cookie seconds will go by and then the xbox shuts off without the 2nd beep

i was playing 2k and i closed the application then my screen went blacc i cant even hear it scrolling or nothing .. it makes the on/off noise .. this just happen

When I plugged in my Xbox and turned it on, I turned on the tv like I always do before playing, but everything was on the Xbox, and the tv, but the tv was on a black screen and I did everything but nothing. When I try and go into safe mode I hear the two chimes but nothing even flickers on my monitor and it the safe mode screen doesn’t pop up just no signal. Any help?

When i go to hold the bind and power button, it only makes the noise once, no matter how long i hold it for. My xbox stopped working in the middle of playing and it gives me an HDMI error with all my HDMI cables that work
This is weird, my series s is on I can tell it’s working since I can hear through a headset but it doesn’t show on my tv, I tried two different tvs and 3 different hdmi leads in different hdmi Ports but no display still, I’ve even connected it to my Xbox one it shows connection but it’s a black screen

This was happening to me, and I did exactly what he said in the video, and now it stopped. Try resetting your console as he did it in the video. Hope that helps!
Did not work. I followed the video step by step and it went to low resolution upon start up but it did not fully start up. It just sat on the XBOX screen for about 5 minutes and then went to a black screen for I don't even know how long
@@mikesunboxing hello what do you mean? lol the hdmi is in the hdmi part and the power cord is plugged into the back of Xbox and the wall. This morning it turned on all the way and then started glitching and went back to the Xbox no signal screen .
For some reason when i press and hold the xbox button and the sync button at the same time, the console turns on and then off, instead of doing turn on sound twice. any ideas what might be wrong?
